@DesertSnow @ChloeN thanks for the advice both. I rang the mau and they asked me to go in. They monitored baby and me last night. Everything is all good 😊
Hopefully I can enjoy the sunshine today without any worries!

BoodifulGoose · 21/05/2023 19:46

I've only just caught up with this thread, I am heartbroken to read your news @AnnieApple123 , you've been such a source of support and comfort for so many in this group, I'm so grateful that we got to experience this with you up until now, I am so devestated that it has happened like this for you. I hope you're as okay as you can be, and will miss having you around, but will be lovely seeing you pop in if you do feel up for it. 💙

Marmaladebear · 22/05/2023 17:16

@AnnieApple123 that was such a beautiful message to the group. I hope you do stay in touch because I would love to hear how you are doing but please just do what's best for you.

@DesertSnow I'm so sorry you are having a difficult time too but hope and pray you get a positive outcome like others on the thread have pointed to as happening to others. Sending love 💕

@P1pk so glad everything was ok when you asked to be checked! Hope you got to enjoy the sunshine with no worries!

Does anyone have a link to the Facebook group? I'm in the Buns one but I think there's another that people are in (I remember joining 2 but then I left them both when I had a scare).

Son and husband got a stomach bug and I'm on high alert for whether I have it - hard to tell because I always feel somewhat sick with pregnancy!!

Does anyone have nice bank holiday plans? All being well we're going to go to Southend for the seaside - my toddler loves the beach!

Amme18 · 22/05/2023 18:02

@Marmaladebear the buns one is the only one from here but I’m in a “Babies due in august 2023 - UK” that seems to have some cross over of members ☺️

Rowanandremy · 23/05/2023 09:28

@AnnieApple123 it speaks volumes about you as a person that you can come on here and be as supportive and helpful as ever when you are in the midst of something so incredibly painful. I have been thinking of you and your family and wish you the very best for now and for the future. I also hope that you do come back on here, as long as you are comfortable, you are a part of this group and it’ll be lovely to hear from you.

@DesertSnow I am so sorry you are going through this and as has been said by many more articulate people on here, I am hoping and wishing for the best possible outcome.

@P1pk I’m so glad everything is alright :)

@Marmaladebear the beach sounds lovely! We’ve no concrete plans but after a really stressful month it would be nice to do something, I’ll have to get thinking.

How is everyone? I’m 29 weeks now and some things are more difficult to manage but I was able to help decorate dd’s bedroom last week and I’m still swimming twice a week - even if I do feel incredibly slow. It’s been really warm here too which I’m struggling with a bit, I avoided the heat when I was pregnant with dd so it’s a new challenge 😂

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 24/05/2023 08:15

Weirdest sensation yesterday... which I can only describe as a pulsating bum. Spoke to my midwife because it wasn't something I had experienced or even read about (FTM). Apparently it is when baby is super low and has the hiccups. Joys of pregnancy 😂 just thought I would share incase anybody else has had similar and wondered what it was x

DesertSnow · 24/05/2023 09:44

@P1pk glad all ok 😊

@MinnieFirstTimeMum that made me smile about the pulsating bum 😂

Thanks to everyone for supportive messages. Went into hospital on Sunday night with reduced movements. They weren't entirely happy with CTG so was back in Monday morning for a repeat. Then yesterday they phoned up and asked me to go in for a doppler to check placenta blood flow. It's holding up ok for now and FMU will check again next week when they also check on growth. Taking it one day at a time and hoping baby stays inside growing for a while longer (am 30+4 now).

@DesertSnow I've got everything crossed for you.

I am 29+5, and exhaustion is back with a vengeance. Can barely keep my eyes open at work. After the interview I've cut down on caffeine down to one large latte a day, as opposed to 2, which I needed to get me through the prep, so that's not helping either. Got the job though! It's a big relief.

Got until end of June before I finish, and honestly, it cannot come quick enough.

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 24/05/2023 10:28

@DesertSnow it made me smile once I knew what it was 😂

Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 glad they are monitoring you closely though x

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 24/05/2023 10:30

@DomesticElf I hope end of June comes around quickly for you.

I am having an elected C-section so I am going to work until 1 week before so I think that should be around 4th August x

Spiralout · 24/05/2023 10:38

@MinnieFirstTimeMum
thank you for your post - I’ve had the pulsating bum too so it’s great to know what it is!!
Elective c-section here too (albeit recommended due to a retina issue and risk of retinal detachment if I were to have a prolonged labour) - have consultant appointment on 9 June and hoping to get booked for 26/27 July (due date is 4 August).

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 24/05/2023 10:41

@Spiralout glad I am not the only one who has a pulsing bum 😂

I should be a couple of weeks after you then. Seems to be creeping up on us. I am hoping to get a date for my consultant appointment for the c-section in the next few weeks.

LBF2020 · 24/05/2023 11:42

@DesertSnow thanks for the update. Thinking of you and sending good vibes your way ❤️

@MinnieFirstTimeMum I had the same last week! At first I thought it was my abdominal aorta puLsing, but it wasn't pulsing with my heartbeat. When it happened again I googled it and found out it was most likely hiccups - which led to pulsating bum 🤣🤣🤣 how glamorous

BoodifulGoose · 24/05/2023 15:18

@DesertSnow Hope all goes well 💙

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 24/05/2023 15:53

@LBF2020 so glamorous! Defo going to add that to the list of things I never thought I would experience during pregnancy 😂

Rowanandremy · 24/05/2023 19:13

@DesertSnow Thinking of you and hoping all goes well.

when we moved to this house last year I wasn’t expecting it to be unbearably hot on decent days (fantastic for winter!) but now I’m pregnant I’m really starting to struggle. Baby boy likes to lay across and as high up as he can which is making
me breathless, it is quite funny though trying to figure out which part of him is where. Pretty sure I felt either a foot or a hand a few days ago and either a knee or an elbow last night - were both in awe of midwives and how they know what part of baby is where when they are feeling my stomach because I don’t have a clue 😂

Wineismybestfriend · 24/05/2023 20:09

Hello, does anyone mind me joining this thread?

hope you’re all well.

due date is 8th Aug. This is my second.

Just turned 29 weeks and I’m honestly struggling with nausea and exhaustion again 😢 it’s like being in my first trimester all over again.

Is anyone else the same? Xx

DomesticElf · 24/05/2023 21:46

@Wineismybestfriend welcome! I am very similar, 29+5 with my second, due date 4th of aug. Exhaustion is kicking my butt badly. And yes to nausea too, plus reflux 🤢 you are definitely not alone.

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 24/05/2023 21:53

@DomesticElf the reflux is something else. Every evening without fail I have this

Amme18 · 24/05/2023 21:55

@Wineismybestfriend @DomesticElf due 4th Aug and exhaustion is next level. Like full on fatigue not even just tired. And heartburn on top, which was making me throw up. And still throwing up randomly, I have to avoid anything that sets me off (smells mainly)

ChloeN · 24/05/2023 22:18

@Amme18 Im still sick randomly too, and sometimes just can’t stop gagging at random things that would never normally make me feel sick!

newmummie · 24/05/2023 22:25

Hope all is well with everyone 💓 the weeks are flying now, how is everyone? I recently had my GTT test and it came back I have gestational diabetes, so I'm just getting used to it at all, anyone else in the same boat?

LS888 · 24/05/2023 22:34

I’m feeling everyone with heartburn/reflux issues. I’ve been prescribed something something from the GP for it now and it’s honestly such a nice feeling to have some relief from it! 😊

Wineismybestfriend · 25/05/2023 05:22

I had this with my first. I remember sobbing uncontrollably in the hospital 🤣 but it wasn’t all that bad. Have you been given tablets? I think it was metaformin I was on!

Wineismybestfriend · 25/05/2023 05:23

@newmummie
