@ChloeN I am so thirsty ALL the time. I have to go to bed with a 2l bottle of water and most of it is gone by morning. I wake up in the middle of the night thirsty. I am also peeing a ridiculous amount.

My husband always says no wonder you're always needing the toilet if you drink like that, but it's not a choice!

At my last appointment, the midwifes gave me a bad telling off as I was severely dehydrated and had keytones in my urine. Problem was, as I told her I'd already drank about 2l of water that day.

I've never had this in my other pregnancies. Although I've been told the thirst and ketones could be a sign of GD. My GD test is booked for June 2nd. But I'm moving in between so godness knows when it will be at the new Trust. Xx

CityKity · 30/04/2023 12:28

Ladies I need reassurance (again!). Currently on holiday and as usual incredibly constipated. I finally ‘went’ today after 3.5days and had to strain quite a bit (sorry for the TMI). I had very slight pinky discharge when wiping and now I’m freaking out.
Has anyone else experienced this?!

Currently 26 and a bit weeks so trying to reassure myself I just strained too hard. Not sure what to do at this point and sending myself into a bit of a tailspin.

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 30/04/2023 12:47

@CityKity could the pinky colour be from your bottom instead. I had a haemorrhoid from constipation about a month ago which caused bleeding. Apparently super common in pregnancy x

ChloeN · 30/04/2023 12:53

@unluckyinlife glad I’m not alone!! I’ll have to mention it to the midwife when I next see her then! My wee is basically see through because I’m drinking so much but it never feels enough 🤣

Rowanandremy · 30/04/2023 14:02

@unluckyinlife it was the first time we’d decorated biscuits that wasn’t just smashing icing all over them until they were unrecognisable 😂 it did keep her occupied for ages and she was beaming so I was glad we did it. Sounds ideal for when you move! We’re always on the look out for new ideas to keep dd occupied for days when she’s not in preschool.

Our tentative plans were cancelled, dd had a terrible nightmare that kept her awake half the night so we are pretty exhausted. We’re taking the day to get a few jobs ticked off when we can muster the energy 😂😂 ooh a Sunday roast. I’d had plans for one today but having gammon and chips instead because it’s easier

CityKity · 30/04/2023 14:11

@MinnieFirstTimeMum thanks for the reply. The pink wipe was definitely from the front. I’ve called the midwife number to get some advice and they have reassured me that it was probably from the straining / constipation and just to keep an eye if the pink colour increases or I start to see blood.
Good this has really stressed me out today and I feel like it’s all my fault for eating too much bread and cheese and not enough fibre. Pregnancy is wild eh

ChloeN · 30/04/2023 15:21

@SummerBump23 dont blame yourself I’ve literally not been to the toilet properly since I was 3 weeks pregnant🤦🏻‍♀️ hopefully it was just a one off for you! Xx

newmummie · 30/04/2023 16:33

I was looking back at my notes in my pregnancy book & my white cell count was 10.93 when I got my blood done at around 8 weeks? Apparently normal is considered 4-11 but I'm scared this is high & maybe even higher now? Should I be worried? Do you remember what's yours was?

sally16 · 30/04/2023 17:37

@newmummie I wouldn't stress! If it's within the parameters even by 0.1 then that's safe!
They would have got in touch for repeats if they were worried xx

DesertSnow · 30/04/2023 18:04

@Rowanandremy thank you, on the mend! Thank goodness for the long weekend.

@unluckyinlife fingers crossed for you for Tuesday!

@CityKity sorry you've had a scare, glad the midwife was reassuring.

@newmummie Try not to stress, they'd have definitely told you if they were concerned or wanted to repeat the test.

Can't believe I have less than one week till I'm in the final trimester! I should probably start getting more organised... was just hoping for a second trimester burst of energy but it's still not appeared...

Hi everyone, I've fallen behind on this thread but just checking back in to say I hope you are all keeping well. Can't believe I've hit the 26 week mark - I forgot to update after 20wk scan that we're having a wee girl! After first trimester seemed like it would never end, I feel like someone has pressed the fast forward button and the weeks are turning into a blur!

Owlgirl14 · 01/05/2023 23:26

@CityKity @ChloeN I highly recommend eating all bran every morning. I have become a lot more regular since eating this. Also add raisins if you like them as the extra iron is good 😊

BoodifulGoose · 02/05/2023 07:36

Hi everyone 💙 hope everyone is doing well!

I'm very struggling to catch up as got a lot of work/studying and very low blood pressure, so keep being fine then being out for several days with bad headaches, so keeping up online is hard.

Place marking as I keep losing the thread though.

Will try to catch up soon, hope you're all good 💙 can't believe it's 3 months till she could be here 😬

DesertSnow · 02/05/2023 20:46

@Alpacabag22 Congrats on your little girl 💖I've made a note and will update when I do the next list.

Thanks @DesertSnow! 😊

BMK · 03/05/2023 10:05

Welcome back @BoodifulGoose and @Alpacabag22 .!!
@sally16 : how on earth could you find 9!!! bin bags of clothes- let alone clothes you don't want- in your wardrobe??????? For me this is probably extra amazing as I pretty much wear my clothes until they wear out- for years and years! I still wear things I had in 2003,albeit most of that vintage have 'worn out 'by now. 27 weeks on Friday! Amazing. I have big work things in third week in May - so will be a flat out ,working around the clock stress ball from tomorrow until then, but then I will be on the home straight and I'm going to make it my mission to relax and try enjoy the very last bits of it: as in take time for me- hotels, reflexology, rest ,shopping (for post pregnant me and babog) and etc,as much as is feasible anyhow!

BMK · 03/05/2023 10:07

@AnnieApple123 I really hope you're OK. And everyone else who is struggling in any way including you @BoodifulGoose . Cold ,wet, small hand towel, folded up, on forehead in a dark room is best cure I've found for headache, just in case you haven't come across this

sally16 · 03/05/2023 13:02

@BMK it was mostly bedding and jackets! But sooo much clothing of my partners he hoarded! It was an absolute joke! Then the jammies drawers putted my secret obsession 😂😂😂

Rowanandremy · 03/05/2023 13:39

@Alpacabag22 congrats on your little girl!

had the gtt test today, early start after a full day yesterday and dd who hadn’t slept from 1am due to a nightmare that terrified her. Lucky she slept last night but we are all exhausted. Test went well but I was definitely hangry and losing patience with everyone in the waiting room that kept sniffling and not blowing their nose - one of my pet peeves.
We went and bought the paint for dd’s bedroom that is getting decorated on Friday while she’s in preschool, I’m not allowed to do anything apparently so we’ve drafted SIL in and I have the job of babysitting my baby niece - however will I cope with baby cuddles and snuffles 🤣

unluckyinlife · 03/05/2023 13:41

Hi everyone! We completed on our house purchase today after an awful two weeks. We complete Friday and move Saturday. Such a relief but so scary!

At 23 weeks I have had my first bout of nausea. I'm grateful I got this far but also conscious this is the worst possible time! Especially as I have a 3.5 hour drive to move on Saturday.

It seems to be worse after being on a long work call or focusing on a task for too long 😀

Worrying considering my mat leave doesn't start for 16 weeks and 4 days 🤣 as long as baby stays put that is!

sally16 · 03/05/2023 14:31

11 shifts until annual leave then mat leave 🥳🥳🥳

Not that I'm counting 🤣👀

marleyandme · 03/05/2023 16:37

@sally16 wow only 11!
I'm on 9 weeks left til I finish for annual leave then mat leave (end of June), kind of counting down til my mat cover starts in a few weeks then handing it all over to him and hopefully doing very little!

allgoodthings84 · 03/05/2023 16:52

At what week is everyone finishing? I’ve still got 14 weeks left (after this week) as finishing at 38 weeks to have 1 week annual leave then c section day.

sally16 · 03/05/2023 17:00

@marleyandme I only work 2 shifts a week haha.
@allgoodthings84 I've got 6 weeks annual leave then off at 38 weeks mat leave!

BusyBushBaby · 03/05/2023 18:33

I'm off on annual leave just passed 37 weeks then maternity leave from just passed 39 weeks. 10 and a bit weeks to go!
