I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

I decided to do it and bought a digital to do this morning.
I thankfully got pregnant 3+ so I'm feeling so reassured at 5+2.
It did take ages to come up. I must admit I was a bit worried!

If it was 2-3 I would be devestated but thankfully it hasn't so I think me doing any more pregnancy tests is null and void now!

@s14a I got my 3+ on a digital yesterday too. Such a relief. Gives me a little peace of mind until I get an early scan 🙂

Aprilsunnyday · 02/04/2023 07:40

I too tested on digital last night. It's thankfully showing pregnant 3+.

I did have a little cramp going on for a couple of hours after dinner, after quite an active day (walks and such). It wasn't sharp but was definitely there, so I started to feel a bit worried and for peace of mind, and also just to see how many weeks it might show, caved in to test on digital. It's not logical as seeing the result would not make the cramp go away....😅
Don't know if walks in park for example or other physical activities at early pregnancy 4/5 weeks have any risks. Or would it be just better not going out too much at all... 🤔

Frozendaquiri · 02/04/2023 07:43

I just did a digital and got 2-3, should I be worried then? Same day last week I got 1-2 and I'm 5+2

I wonder if that could be general stretching as well? I've had mild non painful cramping In all my pregnancies.

I'm the same as you (5+2) and I just got 2-3, why would you be devastated? I'm really worried now

@Frozendaquiri don't worry!

I've just got a history of recurrent loss and in my last loss I had 2-3 at 5+3 and I spent such a long time stressing about it until I had my first scan at 6+ weeks which showed baby with a heartbeat.
I did lose my baby but at 10 weeks so I spent all of that time worrying and stressing for nothing because at that point baby was fine and it didn't work out anyway.

The threshold for the 3+ is 2000+ hcg.
I've attached a table but with any pregnancy hcg might not reach 2000 until 7 weeks so it's more my history than actual fact!

Due December 2023

@s14a thank you for the reassurances. x
I think you might be right... (I don't really know what is normal, not having the experience before)

If you don't mind me asking - would the cramps for you come and go in previous pregnancies, would they happen throughout the first trimester?

We read hcg range is huge for normal pregnancies, different from person to person.
Could it be a case your level is on the lower side, and completely normal? progression seems indicating so.

Suggest to speak to either gp or private health care to get some bloods done, if feasible.
Good luck!! X

@s14a @Aprilsunnyday thank you both! If I'm being honest sadly I'm finding these threads the opposite of helpful right now. Every time someone is concerned about something I take on the same concerns and I don't think it's healthy.

In the last week I've been frantically checking threads and comparing myself, wondering why I don't have the same symptoms etc. I think it's probably best for me to take a break for a couple of weeks until after my first scan (being done at 7+4 so 2 weeks 2 days away) and hopefully rejoin when I can relax a bit.

Good luck to everyone and hopefully we all have great first scans x

I do completely understand, very sorry too about how the thread make you feel. Early pregnancy is very hard with all the uncertainties.

All the very best with the 7+4 scan, will keep fingers crossed.x

@Mrsbg1990 I would love to join a Facebook group

This is my first pregnancy, found out 28th March. I woke up that day feeling ill and done a test (my colleagues have all had norovirus recently so really wasn't sure if it was this or not). The line was so faint I nearly missed it completely. I went to work in shock. And I continued to feel ill so decided to go home. I done more tests and it became clearer and since then I have digital reading as well.

I believe my due date to be 6th Dec approx (im 4 weeks 5 days). My symptoms have been severe blaoting, frequent urination started yesterday, complete insomnia, very hot and sweaty, headaches but quite energetic and when I get hungry, I feel I need to eat immediately.

Feeling lucky and blessed. Before meeting my partner, I suffered an eating disorder for 7 years and I truly worried how this would effect my chances.

Congrats to you all ❤️❤️

Moriquendi · 02/04/2023 21:11

Hi! Congratulations to everyone!
Tentatively joining after getting my BFP yesterday. Only 3 weeks 5 days pregnant, 12 dpo, provisional due date 12th December. This, hopefully, will be my second child, first DC is 13months.

No symptoms currently but never got any with my first so hoping I’m lucky again 🤞

What is everyone doing about telling friends/ family early? I might tell a friend or two soon, as I’d tell them if I lost the baby? Want to tell my mum but don’t feel like telling my husbands mum (she would be very excited and happy but I think also dramatic if I lost it) so holding off on that for now I think 😬

joyjoy23 · 02/04/2023 22:31

Hey everyone. Congratulations on your BFPs!

I only found out I am expecting yesterday - it's my first one so still trying to work out what the next steps are from here. My due date is in early December ❤️

I would like to join the fb group too but the link doesn't seem to work for me. Is anyone else having the same issue @Mrsbg1990

Jammydodged · 03/04/2023 06:34

@Mrsbg1990 I have Also tried to join via the link and it’s not loading.
@Moriquendi We are telling no one until after 12 weeks, I have a 3 and a 6 year old though so want them to be the first to know.

I've told only a few close friends. They are most of the friends I told the first two times when I miscarried and they were really supportive. (Plus it helps to have someone onside on social situations to hide you not drinking!)
I found my family were most difficult with the miscarriage because they wanted to 'fix'it and make me feel better so were not telling them until the 12 week scan I don't think (although my bloat bump might make that difficult!)

Good morning all, was going to try and take a break from the thread but I think I am feeling better today about not comparing myself to others. It's definitely hard whilst times are so uncertain, hoping for the best for us all.

I have had my strongest 2 lines yet this morning!

Has anyone developed any new symptoms over the weekend?

@Frozendaquiri that’s great to hear! I hope this has put you at ease

Starting to feel a bit weird about food but symptoms aren’t too strong yet 😶

@Frozendaquiri Glad you're feeling better. The lower back pain has started for me but no other notable symptoms as yet. How about you?

Any ladies in London - where are you doing your early pregnancy scans? x

Frozendaquiri · 03/04/2023 11:37

@autumn94xxxx thank you it's made me feel much better! That's a great test x

@joyjoy23 that's strange, my lower back pain has gone away since Friday! Just finding I have to wee more frequently with every day haha x
