Baby girl arrived this morning. I woke up at 6.30am and by 11.14am she was here! 5lb8oz.

I thought the other thread had gone quiet! Happened to find this whilst on many of the night feeds.
baby girl was born 29/3 and I’m utterly besotted but having an internal struggle with the breast feeding. I’m beyond exhausted. I try sleep when baby sleeps and leave her with DP but I miss her so much when I’m not with her. We had to top her up with some formula today so I could sleep because I felt so poorly. Can’t help but feel so guilty and not ready to give up BF however I think expressing will be the only option.
any advice or anyone going through something similar would be appreciated

@firstlittleone Early days of breastfeeding can be exhausting and a bit relentless. Hang on in there. You're doing brilliantly and it will get better.

With DC1 I pumped a feed a day which DH could then give baby while I got a longer stretch of sleep (4-5 hours instead of 1-2 hours between feeds). It saved my sanity in those early weeks and DH liked being able to feed the baby.

Hi everyone, very late in posting but baby boy was born 23/3 and we’re now home and well! Congratulations to all the other new babies and mums. Thinking of those still waiting - it’s so frustrating but your time is coming soon, one way or another, and so worth it when it does!

I have been to the mat ward today as was 'leaking' last night so got assessed and its my waters trickling! Sent back home and to go back tonight to be induced - unless contractions worsen before then, which they are beginning to! Baby is finally wanting to make an appearance! X

Think I might be the last one to have mine at this rate 🙈 going in for induction tomorrow if I can brave it! Not so keen when I've got really bad piles that I can only imagine will be worse after trying to push baby out!

Finally joining the birth club! I hope I'm still welcome with an April exit 🙈

Austin - 7lb2oz, 3.20pm via c section at 42 weeks & 1 day! I think he's smaller than he looks in pictures his face seems tiny 😆

I was spared the induction I didn't want as they did a scan and said amniotic fluid was too low, so was booked in for a section instead.
Had a moment I thought I would pass out, my blood pressure dropped and baby reacted with his dropping too and his heartrate dropping, within 30 seconds of receiving a medicine was sorted. Extremely thankful for an amazing theatre team they were all brillliant with helping me and all so lovely.

Little man came out with some rather wrinkly hands and feet from being "post mature" and some peeling skin but not too sore looking. Generally doing well except mucousy (common in section babies and also post term babies) so a few moments of worrying about him here and there but midwife said he should clear it himself 🤞 xx
