Hi all another new thread as the last one filled up fast again.
8wks3 here according to early scan. This may change at the 12 weeks scan xx

@Ss32 we were the same second time round - 2nd DS, there's a day between their birthdays so same season for clothes etc too. We needed absolutely nothing 😂

This time we'll need some smaller jumpers, but that'll be it unless it's a girl (which I refuse to believe is possible, I have boys!) in which case I'll probably get a couple of bits but not much.

For those choosing pram colours - remember that your cute little baby will turn into a messy toddler who constantly demands snacks - we went with khaki green (with a tan handle!) and two kids in, don't regret my decision - think what hides mud, snot, chocolate and goodness knows what else best 😂

First scan tomorrow and so so nervous 😖 Hopefully all will be ok, just so easy to overthink. I keep saying “it’ll be what it’ll be” because there’s absolutely nothing I can do to change it. Feel daft for booking it when my 12 week scan is on the 11th April but I just need some comfort now. Does anyone know how much I need to drink before the scan? I’m clueless at this 🤣

@EMcG3 im away to Google this now 💓 this is our first baby so have absolutely no clue. 😂 we haven’t told anyone yet so don’t have anyone to ask questions yet really 🥹

@Summer022 the nipt scan I booked says 1 litre of water at least 20 minutes before appointment! Not sure I can do this...

@Summer022 good luck tomorrow! You don't need to drink too much, I drank half a litter of water and it was enough. I was told if it wasn't enough they'd just ask me to drink a bit more, usually there's water station in the waiting room.

@DancingNancies i was thinking the same about pram colours! Our car seat is a light grey and it’s such a pain to keep clean! I so wish I bought black now!

@EMcG3 i was desperate for a baby box for my first but was told our city didn’t do them any more. She was a proper lockdown baby though so there was no real way to ask around, I might try some of the childrens centres inner city this time and see if they can help

@Alexandra07 You def don't need that much water, I was told 750ml and managed maybe 400ml and was told my bladder was completely full during scan! And that was for 9 week scan so don't panic.

@Summer022 - the news is overwhelmingly likely to be good and you will be delighted to see the little one. And if it is not good, you will no doubt handle it with strength and courage. If you need some comfort now, then doing what you need instead of waiting for the 11th is the right decision for you. I really wish you all the best in your scan!

I look forward to your updates tomorrow. Don't worry too much about needing a mad full bladder, it's only when you're early days they'll need a really full bladder.

I bought a pregnancy pillow and it came yesterday. I know I don’t have a bump or anything yet but I’m finding that my hips/legs are sore from the way I’m lying! I’ve just had a glorious sleep! 🤩 the nicest sleep I’ve had since being pregnant

@Chanteuse oooow this is at the top of my to buy list as my hips and back have started hurting during the night this week. What pillow did you buy?

Super excited & grateful to reach the Second Trimester today and starting to feel more like my usual self! 🥳🥹 as much as the first few weeks since finding out did drag, the first trimester has flown by!

Is anyone else starting to feel more normal now and getting excited? 🥰

@New2thisss I feel like myself too, all of my symptoms have gone other than needing to pee 😂

@New2thisss I'm feeling more like myself now that the fatigue is easing and my energy is coming back. Having said that yesterday still had to take an afternoon nap 😅 Congrats on having reached the 2nd trimester!

@Hopefulx I have my 12w scan tomorrow morning. Can't wait! Starting to feel a bit anxious. It's one of those things that feels like you'll either be elated that everything's well or mad with worry if they suspect something's not right. Either way big emotions to feel

I know some of you girls were talking about the toddler and baby shows.
I literally just received an invite for free tickets through the door, for the Pura one. I’ve booked to go but it isn’t until 22 April, I paid for a goody bag, does anyone know what’s inside them?
