As the title says really, how would I start this process?

Brilliant to hear from you. You sound very positive. Have you go into a sort of routine?

solosunflower · 07/10/2023 15:56

@airmaxJ
Good to hear that you're doing well. I remember your post about being close to giving birth. Wow time has flown!

@Sugarfree23
Thank you. Everyone was so kind to me in this thread!
Yes we do have a routine. I never forced one, though. I did go through a stage of getting into a muddle over wake windows etc, but in the end I just followed my son's cues on everything and eventually he settled into his own routine, which worked out perfectly. Things are changing a little with the weaning. I'm just glad those first few months are behind us.

Awwww so lovely to hear your update and that things are much better - sounds like you and your little guy are a proper little team now! Those first few months were just HELL for so many of us, but soon it'll all be a blur and you'll enjoy your little guy more and more. All the best xxx

airmaxJ · 07/10/2023 18:39

Good advice to not try force a routine that is what I've been trying to get her to sleep before 2 am but it's not working even if I get her up earlier in the morning, so I'll just go with her flow for now . Thanks

Starlightstarbright1 · 07/10/2023 21:29

Lovely to see your update..

you have done so amazing from where you started .. you should be very proud of yourself .

Thank you everyone! Just need to finish the nursery now, ha!

@airmaxJ yes absolutely! Honestly think it causes stress trying to force a routine! I hope things settle for you soon x

Baby's first Christmas @solosunflower ! I hope it's a special one for you both 🎄😊

airmaxJ · 10/12/2023 23:50

How are you doing? My baby is 4 and a half months and we're doing well xx

solosunflower · 11/12/2023 23:02

Hello everyone. Today we were at playgroup Christmas party. My son loves trying new foods and the party food was especially fun for him. He is 9 months old on Thursday. It has been the hardest 9 months of my life, but I love him dearly.

@airmaxJ I am glad to hear you're both doing well. How are you feeling about Christmas?

I bet its the fastest 9mths of your life ever. Babies just grow so so fast.

You are sounding so positive it's fantastic. It's brilliant to hear your taking him to playgroups too. That's good for him and good for you to have real people to chat to with LOs at the same stage.

Hope you have a great Christmas. x

airmaxJ · 12/12/2023 09:46

That's great , I'm so looking forward to Xmas , she is getting so interested in toys and the health visitor says let her have mashed potatoe to play with and eat on Xmas day as I've not weaned her yet. Please keep updated on here , take care all the best for Xmas and new year xx

solosunflower · 12/12/2023 21:07

It has gone incredibly fast. So much has happened, yet it only feels like yesterday that I left work. It's a strange sensation.

I'm panning a quiet and relaxed Christmas. I am simply grateful to have reached this point. Hopefully visit a lovely NT property.

@airmaxJ I hope you have a lovely Christmas too. Sounds like your little girl is doing so well. She will have fun with the mash. Mash is one of my boy's favourites.
