@iloveeggs @LaVitesse2022 gaviscon hasn’t touched my heartburn unfortunately 😩 but I’m asking the dr to prescribe omeprazole tomorrow as I need some relief! Ended up having to sit up straight for about 2 hours before I could lie down to sleep, was exhausted!

NSx · 26/02/2023 14:48

Ah ok @iloveeggs so I’m about a week behind you, but nothing like that. I was loaded with the cold for about 7-10 days but apart from that just the insomnia and then fatigue that follows 😂😂

LaVitesse2022 · 26/02/2023 14:48

@NSx I'm 6+6 and my nausea just kicked in this week. But you shouldn't worry as some women don't have symptoms, or just some of them. It's not an indication any thing's wrong, you might just be lucky!

@iloveeggs @Chanteuse sorry to hear Gaviscon didn't help, I think in the end omeprazole is probably just more effective. I think I'll have a go with Gaviscon first though, while I wait for GP's prescription. I've alka seltzer recommended too so I might try that as well.

Chanteuse · 26/02/2023 14:54

@NSx my main symptoms until last week were fatigue and slight nausea! I’d say I’ve had worse symptoms since 7+4, feeling particularly bad this weekend!

iloveeggs · 26/02/2023 14:58

@NSx I'm there with you on the insomnia and fatigue! I seem to wake up constantly and then wide awake from the early hours, it's great fun 😑I'm super super cranky too, very bad mood swings. My husband doesn't know who I am anymore 😂

NSx · 26/02/2023 15:31

@LaVitesse2022 oh let’s see what the next week has in store for me then 🫣😂 fingers crossed no extra symptoms come 🤞✨
@Chanteuse did u have many symptoms up until 7 weeks?
@iloveeggs I was awake at 2am, then again at 6am, then by like 1pm I crashed and fell asleep 😂 now I’ve woken up from said nap feeling awful 🥺

and to top it off I’ve been prescribed lactulose for constipation and my stomach is literally bubbling away all day 😄😭😭😭😭😭

pregnancy is not easy 🫥

Chanteuse · 26/02/2023 16:00

@NSx I did have a few, but mainly exhaustion. They’ve ramped up in the past few days. Current symptoms are:
-Exhaustion
-Vivid dreams
-Severe heartburn/reflux
-Gas/indigestion
-Nausea/vomiting

PrimarilyParented · 26/02/2023 16:23

I had some bleeding this weekend but got an appointment at the EPU today and saw that the little one is still there and has a clear heartbeat too. Such a big relief to see that after being in floods of tears as soon as i started bleeding. I had this in my last pregnancy too and it all turned out fine, but it doesn’t stop the worrying. Me and my DP were delighted to see the little one on the scan and they even printed us pictures, which we definitely weren’t expecting.

overgrowngrass · 26/02/2023 16:27

@VictoriaBlossom I’ll be at Isebrook for my booking in because I needed a specific date but hope I’ll be transferred to Nene Park after as it’s on my doorstep. What about you?

It’s my second but big big age gap so feels like my first! When is your due date and booking in?

VictoriaBlossom · 26/02/2023 16:36

@overgrowngrass well you must be very close by. I'm in Higham so nene park is also on my doorstep! Plus not having to find a space is a bonus.
Ermmm think due dates worked out around 28/10
I'm booked in for a scan on 15/3 and they're putting my first midwife appt on the same day. But I can't seem to get through to the community midwife phone during their working hours as I had my previous scan at KGH, yet they've put my midwife appt at the same time as they told me the scan was on the text message sent. Awfully confusing as I didn't think Isebrook had a Sonography bit. Am I wrong?

LaVitesse2022 · 26/02/2023 16:52

@PrimarilyParented good to hear all was OK, what a relief it must've been! Can I ask how far along are you? I'm curious what can be seen at an early scan around 7 weeks

NSx · 26/02/2023 18:13

@Chanteuse thats a lot of symptoms 😭
mine are only really… constipation/gas, weird dreams and Fatigue, so I should be grateful really x

BeaKind · 26/02/2023 18:28

I’m a bit concerned that I have zero symptoms too. I’ve been away for a long weekend with friends and managed to keep it under wraps but I haven’t tested since last weekend.

Can’t wait until Tuesday and I can do my next digital but I really have this feeling it will not be as I expect. 😫

When is it a heartbeat is first detected. I’m now thinking of an early scan.

NSx · 26/02/2023 18:38

@BeaKind how many weeks are u? I also feel perfectly normal so don’t worry. I was also apprehensive to test but used my last digi yesterday 🤍
I had an early scan last time and there was a bean and a heartbeat to be seen in the scan. I think the heart only starts to form week 5 as per my apps.

PrimarilyParented · 26/02/2023 18:45

@LaVitesse2022 i’m just shy of 6 weeks. By my LMP I’m 6weeks and 1 day but based on when I think I ovulated I’m 5weeks 5 days and they said I’m measuring at 5wks+.

in my last pregnancy I had bleeding at 5 weeks and a few days and they couldn’t identify a heartbeat but said that was quite common at that early stage and i had to go back 2 weeks later when I saw the heartbeat.

basically I could see the sack, yolk and a tiny little tadpole shape (measuring 2.1mm) with a little flickering heartbeat. If I recall this is pretty much what I saw at 7 weeks before but the tadpole was a bit bigger and maybe not so tadpole shaped as I think it’s developing the beginnings of arms and legs by then.

NSx · 26/02/2023 18:47

@BeaKind sorry I should add this was at 8 weeks

I'm about the same way along as you. Did you have a scan already?

Chanteuse · 26/02/2023 19:31

@NSx like I said, these symptoms have just sort have come out of nowhere this week! At 6 weeks I was mostly just tired and a little bit nauseous. I felt exactly the same - in fact I even posted about it on the FB group! Everyone reassured me that it was normal 😌

PrimarilyParented · 26/02/2023 19:39

@amiold only because I had some bleeding and as my LMP suggested I was 6-7 weeks the EPU booked me in for a scan. I knew I wouldn’t quite be 6 weeks as I don’t ovulate on day 14, so knew I would be 5wks something.

Ah right makes sense. Glad all is okay 😊

PrimarilyParented · 26/02/2023 20:38

@amiold thank you.

LaVitesse2022 · 26/02/2023 20:42

@PrimarilyParented that should be enough for some reassurance! 🤞 Thank you. Glad all is all right :)

NSx · 26/02/2023 20:56

Haha I think it is normal, u hear so many people saying they didn’t feel much at the start. I don’t think I’ll be 6 weeks until Friday or there abouts, so I’ll try not to symptom spot 😅 @Chanteuse are you doing an early test?

NSx · 26/02/2023 20:56

Scan * @Chanteuse

BeaKind · 26/02/2023 21:15

@NSx only 5 weeks today 😬 thank you. TMI but I have actually been a bit constipated thinking about it so maybe I could count that as a symptom 🤷‍♀️

I’ll definitely feel more reassured once I’ve done that digital. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
