@cruciverbalista in the same boat, can't calm down and can't use the toilet. Recipe to success in my eyes haha.

@NSx yes you are right, I have always been an anxious person but it always amplifies when a growing baby is involved. My last bubba was born during covid so that didnt help much

NSx · 25/02/2023 16:52

I had a couple of paracetamol last week when I was extremely unwell. Instead of doing 2 at a time, I just halved the dosage to 1, I think it’s pretty safe to be honest.
Try to sleep and get some rest🤍🤍🤍 @VictoriaBlossom

MeganC104 · 25/02/2023 17:22

@VictoriaBlossom I feel a bit silly contacting my midwife so early but I will reach out if I feel I could have another. This had a specific trigger...I had a sinus infection for over a week . Finally feeling better, went to blow my nose and had a massive nose bleed. Never had a nose bleed before. Completely freaked out and that trigged the attack. I feel really silly now. Thank you for your advice and support x. Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. I get headaches when I come off caffeine. I usually have several cups a day and have switched to one cup of tea

Jealousofchiliheeler · 25/02/2023 17:28

@MeganC104 I doubt panic attack would cause any issues for pregnancy, but might be worth contacting your GP who could offer some support?

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 25/02/2023 17:47

Nice to see so many of us on the group now! So sorry to everyone that has had bad news.

After putting it off for the 3 weeks that I have known, i have bit the bullet this evening and booked an early scan for Monday afternoon, I'm so nervous!

I'll be 7weeks exactly by my calculations (8 weeks exactly based on last period) so I'm slightly worried I've chosen a scan too early as they are abdominal only but I was worrying so much that I just couldn't wait any longer

Midnight00 · 25/02/2023 17:58

Hi all, I'm late to joining as wanted to wait till my early scan which was today. Measured five days ahead what I thought, at 8w6 now. Was amazing to see the heartbeat, it's my first baby.

I've been reading about all your symptoms and I'm one who hasn't had any sickness, only slight nausea a few days. My main symptoms are tender and massive boobs, tiredness and bad skin.

Good luck to all who have scans coming up soon 😊

natalik · 25/02/2023 18:01

Thank you ❤️@NSx

How did your scan go today @katherine123x? ❤️

Ss32 · 25/02/2023 18:10

braxxen · 25/02/2023 15:09

@Ss32
Congratulations! You're about the same dates as me :) I'm 9 weeks 1day today according to my early reassurance scan.

Update: I'm out of hospital but feeling rubbish again. The new meds they prescribed as they were out of cyclizine aren't stopping the vomiting. Waiting for a call back from 111. Hoping I can get hold of some soon!

My LO was 2 weeks late so if I have a natural birth, i’m still expecting baby to be born in October 😂

Anyone who has had a previous section decided if they’ll go VBAC or elective section yet?

katherine123x · 25/02/2023 18:48

Scan went ok .. was early to see too much. But all looks normal and is safe which is why we wanted to go! So I'm happy for now! 💕

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 25/02/2023 18:49

Great news @katherine123x, how far along are you?

That's great news 🤗

katherine123x · 25/02/2023 18:51

Only 6 weeks so knew it would be early doors. Just is my first and I have no idea about any of this. It really helped to just put my mind at ease, now that I am safe, everything is normal and ok!! Worth every penny, makes it feel very real. I've said before I've done so many tests and you still doubt it slightly but no doubting this! Thank you all for asking 💕💕💕

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 25/02/2023 18:53

@katherine123x I have a scan on Monday at what I think is 7 weeks, it's also my first and as silly as it sounds I just want to make sure there's something there🤦‍♀️😂

My partner said to me last night "you're obviously pregnant you've taken three tests" I thought imagine if he knew about all the cheapies I've taken too😂

iloveeggs · 25/02/2023 19:05

@katherine123x I'm in the same boat, all of this is new to me and worrying about everything. It definitely helps putting the mind as ease knowing everything is in the right place and normal for that stage 💞

Getting a little concerned and I think I need some reassurance.

My partner and I have gone away glamping-ish this weekend in Snowdonia. I’m pretty active normally so wasn’t overly concerned but I’ve come away from a 14km hike (not unusual) with pretty extreme pelvis pain, like dislocating pain in my pelvis, and sort of pinky discharge. No actual pain in my abdomen.

I know I’ve overdone it and but worried with previous losses (all 10 years ish ago or more) that I may have made a massive mistake.
we are almost 5 hours from home and I’m not sure what to do….take it easy and wait and see because it’s only a little pink discharge?

I should say, I’m 6+6 and have had plenty of symptoms and have an early scan booked for next Sunday at 8 weeks

Beemug · 25/02/2023 20:05

@Natacat dont worry - think of our ancestors and how much physical activity they’d have done in the past. Don’t worry as this will just make it worse - have an early night and rest tomorrow. If anything does happen (and it’s unlikely it will) it won’t be related to this. Sending a hug!

Needtobuildabridge · 25/02/2023 20:17

@Natacat guidance is that your normal activity levels are fine to continue with. If a 14km hike is not unusual for you, then you'll be absolutely fine 😊 Due to my activity levels, a 14km hike would be incredibly dangerous for me, so I'll give Snowdonia a miss for a while 😉😂

Natacat · 25/02/2023 20:35

@Beemug thanks. I’ve been trying to be as relaxed as possible as I feel a totally different person to the one I was in my previous relationship with my previous TTC difficulties.

didn’t expect myself to go into full meltdown in the middle of a campsite toilet at the sight of some pinky discharge 😭

you’re right, early night is definitely needed.

@Needtobuildabridge honestly that and sleeping on a camping mattress in a remote hut with no electricity….seriously questioning my pre-pregnancy sanity

Beemug · 25/02/2023 20:44

@Natacat youll feel completely different and better in the morning I’m sure! Sleep tight xx

VictoriaBlossom · 25/02/2023 21:29

@katherine123x I have wondered about you all afternoon. Glad to know your mind is more at ease. It tends to stop playing tricks on you when you've seen that screen.

I had a bit of a melt down today because I walked around the local shopping place Rushden Lakes trying to find a cotton sports bra/crop top.
Literally couldn't find anything! Can't stand the feel of polyester against my skin but normal bras aren't very comfy right now.
I have a lovely north face one that OH bought me last year and can I find another? Can I hell

katherine123x · 25/02/2023 21:53

@VictoriaBlossom ahhh thank you. Funnily enough j got a three pack from matalan today!! 😂

VictoriaBlossom · 25/02/2023 22:02

I never even gave matalan a thought!!!! @katherine123x doh!

Belles22 · 25/02/2023 22:28

@Ss32 great news your scan went all well, I'm booked in for panorama on Friday so can't wait to see little one all going well. Regarding vbac after section, I've never considered it as I had a failed four day long induction so I really don't want to go through that again so I will be having a second section hopefully 🤞
