@Sam3108 yes exhausted and had the same with my first. Absolutely shattered! It did pass for me with first and I had lots of energy in trimester 2.

@fleur89 - I’m keeping everything crossed for you. Two weeks is a long wait! I hope you can get seen and get some reassuring news sooner!

@buckingmad sending love. Sorry to hear :(

Koalawhala · 24/02/2023 14:11

So sorry for your loss @buckingmad 😘

@fleur89 i hope you get some more reassuring news at your next scan

fleur89 · 24/02/2023 14:45

Thank you all, unfortunately I don't think it's going to be good news based on my metrics. I ran them past my sister who is a doctor and she confirmed what I expected. Apparently if the yolk sac measures over 5mm it's pretty much a no-go. Mine is 8.1mm and according to medical journals all pregnancies have ended in miscarriage at this stage besides 1 evidence of live birth (Down's syndrome).

Will need to wait 2 more weeks to choose my next step unless things happen naturally before then.

So sorry to hear your news @buckingmad , I'm also curled up on the sofa with my 1 year old this afternoon. Although she doesn't really sit still for long 😂

Itsokaymama · 24/02/2023 15:01

@fleur89 sorry to hear this! look after yourself x

CB23CB · 24/02/2023 15:27

@NSx @VictoriaBlossom
I think mine are unders, I'm wondering if that's why I can't feel anything. Mine are 13 years this year!

CB23CB · 24/02/2023 15:31

@fleur89 @buckingmad sending you both lots of love 💖

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 24/02/2023 16:01

Is anyone else struggling with shortness of breath? I'm getting so out of breath just from walking up the stairs and everything is taking it out of me. I'm assuming it's pregnancy as it's been going on for the last week. I'm 6+4 based on ovulation (I'm very sure of days as I tracked with Opk and bbt)

OrionNebula · 24/02/2023 16:02

So sorry @fleur89 and @buckingmad Flowers

Having stomach pains today, only intermittent & can't tell if it's pregnancy related or digestive, has a bit of an upset tummy first thing. But has me a bit on edge and out of sorts.

katherine123x · 24/02/2023 16:04

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway me!!!!! I put it down to increased heart rate...

iloveeggs · 24/02/2023 16:09

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway Yess!! breathless from very little

katherine123x · 24/02/2023 16:16

@iloveeggs how you feeling??

iloveeggs · 24/02/2023 16:38

@katherine123x Hanging in there, totally exhausted from insomnia but the cramping seems to have subsided at least. I'm in for a repeat of the scan next week to see if there's a heartbeat so fingers crossed! Last time they could just see the sac and embryo I think they said.

How're you feeling?

katherine123x · 24/02/2023 16:47

@iloveeggs I will have everything crossed for you.
I'm doing ok thank you, sore boobs and exhausted!!! I think still in shock too .. finding it hard to talk about in real life 😂 I think it's shock and self preservation ..

Alexandra07 · 24/02/2023 16:52

@fleur89 @buckingmad I am so sorry for your news, be kind to yourselves!

@NSx I am so sorry you had a miscarriage at such a late stage. I will not have an early scan, unless I am sent to epu, hopefully not. I had bleeding in my last pregnancy at 7 weeks, scan showed the baby was ok, but I miscarried at 8 weeks. It won't offer me any reassurance, and I will be even more devastated if I miscarry after I have seen the embryo in a scan.

NSx · 24/02/2023 17:10

@Alexandra07 thank you 🤍 it was a horrendous time, but we move on I guess (or atleast try to)…
fetal medicine will consult me through this pregnancy so I will get an 8 week scan along with other scans to reassure me, which I think is nice, but I totally understand why you would be hesitant; I’m so sorry for your loss also it’s really tough to lose a baby, nobody prepares you for it x

iloveeggs · 24/02/2023 17:27

@katherine123x Thank you!! I'll update you all as soon as I know too.

I'm the same, it's like I still don't believe it's true 🙈

MeganC104 · 24/02/2023 17:36

I think I'm starting to get symptoms. Way earlier than with my son. Been feeling very tired last few days. Today I had to take midday nap and been feeling a little nauseous.

LaVitesse2022 · 24/02/2023 17:48

Been catching up with the thread - great to see so many new people! And I'm sorry to hear of some losses, sending those of you grieving some love & care ✨

Recognising so many of the anxieties and symptoms. After I hit the 6 week mark on Monday I've been experiencing some heartburn and nausea when stomach is empty. Is anyone else feeling an aversion to clothes conditioner?? I can't stand the smell of laundered clothes now 😅

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 24/02/2023 19:17

@katherine123x @iloveeggs it's so debilitating I keep thinking people will be wondering how I'm so unfit when they hear me huffing and puffing🤦‍♀️😂

Baby1023 · 24/02/2023 19:40

@LaVitesse2022 a similar thing but for me I don’t feel like any of my clean washing smells properly clean, the smell of my shower gel is also making me sick. I’ve had to swap it because I cannot stand it.

New2thisss · 24/02/2023 19:42

Just had our first scan! Baby is very much real with a really good strong heart beat - this nausea has been worth it 😆 Also measuring bang on 7+5 which is our due date 😍🥹🥹

Congratulations! That’s amazing. Hope you don’t mind me asking, was it an internal scan or abdominal? I have one booked for when I’m 8 weeks and just wondered whether or not it would have to be internal x

Summer022 · 24/02/2023 20:06

@New2thisss sorry forgot to tag you in my last message!

New2thisss · 24/02/2023 20:36

@Summer022 thank you! It was internal. NHS recommend internal scans for under 10weeks although if you would prefer abdominal they can do one, just might not be as clear x

mariamari · 24/02/2023 22:45

Hello lovelies, been catching up here. Lovely to see new people have joined. And sorry to read of some of your losses. My hearts going out to you & sending lots of love & wishing an easeful recovery.

Morning sickness sufferers!! I have been recommended breathing lemon essential oil for the nausea. I think it’s helping! 😅

Also… Two of my dear friends independently shared about their MC with me this last week. Which is so sad and I’ve been really supportive in their process although I feel bad for not being transparent about my pregnancy with them.

Perhaps it sounds a bit ‘woo woo’ to want to ensure this little bean is bathing in lots of supportive energy (& I am aware it may be upsetting for my friends to know right now).

Another friend shared with me she’s also pregnant. All in the space of a week! Such a very bizarre coincidence! Is this normal? Was it mating season or something?

Anyway, you’re all holding up ok, getting plenty of rest & water xxx
