Yeah planned section due to size and prev shoulder dystocia during my last birth I have been closely monitored for size incase I wanted to try natural birth. Although my last baby was only 8lb..this baby is much bigger apparently.
So they offered induction at 37 weeks or c section at 39 so I went with c section. They brought it forward to 38 weeks due to slight dip in growth.

for me personally I’d have loved to pop it out naturally and would have done despite his size if I’d not had a shoulder dystocia in past but inductions increase shoulder dystocia, plus previous shoulder dystocia and big baby was not an option for me. I’m also very petite size 4-6 pre preg with narrow hips. So it’s very personal choice based on lots of factors.

not looking forward to c section recovery tho it’s a major operation but I’ve picked what’s safest for baby as opposed to the easiest recovery for me.

If you’ve had normal prev births I wouldn’t let them push you into induction or section for ‘large baby’ as your body is clearly capable. So many things to consider....fingers crossed you get your home birth 🙌🏻🤞🏻

@Blondewave yes me too 27th planned section I'll be 39+2, I'm 38 today and sooo ready to have him here I'm so over being pregnant and I was fine up til the last week but now I'm so uncomfortable and not sleeping etc!
Can't wait now hope it goes quickly 🤩
My 3.5 year old is back to playgroup & daycare this week so I'm hoping I can keep myself busy as I know next week will drag for me 🙈

I’m in on the 28th for a sweep but I need to see which way little lady is first as she was oblique last scan.

In the bath now for my chill out time before bed, hope hubby can get Ada off to sleep before I get out lol

Sounds like most of us are getting fed up with being pregnant and just want our babies now

Don't know about any other ladies but I'm so ready to meet my baby now, these final weeks I'm finding hard!

I've weirdly been off foods this evening and just drinking lots of water.

Yeah I am definitely ready to meet this baby! Have a sweep on the 9th of march, due date is 14th, feels like forever away

@Room4onemore I HEAR YOU! I cant wait to roll over or even lay on my front. Last night I literally just didn't sleep. I needed to take steps in hospital tlday and thought my hips would fall off.

Had reduced movements yday and today for first time. Went in and as soon as they started strapping baby was kicking away! Two pluses in urine and need to scan still. Its as if baby waited to be monitored to start kicking.

morning all, has anyone else peed themselves? Lol I woke up around 6am with a kind of popping down below and felt a wee trickle come out so was like oh god better go to the loo, I stood up and then the liquid just gushed out of me and was running down my legs nothing I could do to stop it. So I literally don't know if I've peed myself or if it's my waters 😱 I'll phone mat assessment later this morning but have got a wee liner in just now to see if anything more comes out. Tried sniffing it but I cannot tell 🙈

@beatingheartbaby sounds like your waters to me. Ring the midwife/labour ward….baby will be here soon 😁

I bet that’s waters! Especially with the popping sound - I would phone right away as if it is they’ll need to start the clock exciting!!

Phoned mat assessment and I've to lie on my left side with a maternity pad on for 30 mins and then walk about for 10 and call them back. Bags have been very hastily thrown together now lol I've had little gushes a few times since now so think it probs is waters. Only 36+5 so a bit early but not too bad

@beatingheartbaby sounds promising, it’s exciting but also a reminder I need to finish packing my bags lol

Hopefully this is it for you then eeek! - I can't believe people leave their bags so late, maybe I'm just a stress head 🤣🤣

Morning all,
feeling very late to the club 😬 but congrats to all the mums that have had their babies already!
Am currently 38+4, due March 1st.
Feeling very anxious about when it will all start kicking off… imagining all sorts including waters breaking in bed, like @beatingheartbaby !
This will be DD2 for us, but DD1 was induced so that was a rather chaotic fast-track affair, with mad dash to the hospital.
Think DP still mildly traumatised..and that was 11 years ago!
Hoping for a natural/spontaneous labour this time.🤞

My waters broke at 40+2 last time, got midwife app tomorrow, going to ask for a sweep bur not hopeful they will do it. X

I felt the pop when my waters went and it was a gush. There was no stopping it 🤣 get your bags packed lady, you've got 24 hours for contractions to start

@JTB123 Hi! Wow, how you feeling? My first was 40+10, hence the induction.
Might MW suggest a sweep anyway or closer to 40wks? ..Are you allowed to refuse one if offered?
My antenatal clinic so booked up, my next appt is not til March 1st! Bubba’s just gotta sit tight this week!😳
