I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

I keep telling myself I'll stop worrying so much when i get to a 6/8/12/ weeks etc etc. But I know I won't. I'll just push the worry on further and pick a new date.
I'm still taking my temperature in the morning which I know I should stop as that's now a new worry. It dropped this morning to just above coverline. But my boobs still hurt and no bleeding. So i really need to step away from the thermometer because it won't change anything. Think I'm about 4+2 now. Also very very early and I'm over 40 which makes it much riskier so I really need to just accept things and relax as I can't change what will happen.

Infinitebows · 02/02/2023 08:26

@Needtobuildabridge yes it just shows we're all in that early stage and going nuts together about symptoms etc 🤣 @MuppetTime I'm over 40 too but I have read so many success stories so we need to give ourselves a bit of a break and try to chill (way easier said than done I know) my midwife (last summer) was like, you have to stop saying about your age because mc can happen to anyone any age and you need to stop over worrying.... I then mc at 8 weeks 🤔😢 I agree too that I'll probably just keep picking new dates to worry up to. Fingers crossed all of us on this post go on full term and have healthy little bundles come September/October 🤞🏼💐💕

I'm so glad to have this thread! I relate to so many of you!
Feeling the anxiety too but trying to focus on the positives!
I did a test yesterday afternoon and got a line stealer so that was a good sign!
I'm on antibiotics for a chest infection so hopefully that will clear so I can stop worrying about being poorly.
Sending you all positivity! 💕

TealDreams · 02/02/2023 08:29

@Needtobuildabridge @MuppetTime I'm 24 and have had 2 MC, my friend got pregnant at 42 for the first time and has a 6 month baby girl. Don't let your age worry you xxx

TealDreams · 02/02/2023 08:31

I'm 5 weeks today and only symptom I have is occasional sore boobs. Definitely finding it worrying and I keep squeezing them to check they hurt. They stopped hurting night before last and I couldn't sleep with worry, woke up the next morning in agony 🤣 spoke to a midwife and she said it's so normal for symptoms to come and go in the early stages, if no bleeding hopefully everything is ok xx

Countrybean · 02/02/2023 09:01

I am also feeling very anxious. Have booked an early scan and just trying to take it an hour at a time. Can barely think straight as feel so distracted with it all!

Chanteuse · 02/02/2023 09:26

I am just trying to be positive! I am super tired so I’m taking that as a good sign. Doesn’t stop me (TMI) inspecting the loo roll every time I go for a wee though - which is ALL THE TIME 😩😂

Halpmer · 02/02/2023 09:38

No boob poking here @Needtobuildabridge 😂 my boobs are wrecked since bf DS 😂🫣 like a pair of socks with rocks in the bottom 😂

Halpmer · 02/02/2023 09:41

I think it's totally normal to worry and be nervous and anxious throughout pregnancy to be honest! So those worrying, try to cut yourselves a break. It's okay to feel that way! I found in first pregnancy I was pretty much worrying right up until labour... and then once they're born there are a whole host of new worries that enter the chat. I think it's just part of parenthood and it starts right from the earliest beginnings!

VictoriannaB · 02/02/2023 09:49

Hi, everyone! If my calculations are correct I’m 5+1 today. Think my due date is 4 October (30-day cycle).

This is my first pregnancy and I just want to get past that risky 12-week milestone but it feels like time is moving so slowly 😅

Like others on this thread, we have booked in an early private scan for around 9 weeks just got some reassurance. I’m 34 with a high BMI so just keeping everything crossed.

Right now my main symptoms are some light cramping and heartburn - oh and I’m tired basically all the time!

Wishing everyone the very best with their journeys ❤

Hi girls.
Reading through these posts have made me feel so much better. 4 weeks pregnant, lost one last year at 5 weeks so trying to keep that positive mindset!

Mintykat · 02/02/2023 12:33

I think I'm on the verge of letting my manager know, as I'm so sick today I just can't get any work done. Is anyone else really feeling it with the sickness and nausea?
I had HG with my first but it's quite an age gap so half blocked it all out. I'm really worrying now about how to cope as I can't drive or be patient facing at work feeling like this!
😩

Infinitebows · 02/02/2023 12:33

@TealDreams I noticed my boobs had stopped aching when I got in bed last night, still not bad today too but I'm reasoning just like you've said, no blood so must be okay. I'm not certain on this as I've only had one but surely with all miscarriages you would see some sort of bleeding early on? Can anyone clarify? Hi all new ladies 👋🏼💐 congrats!! xx

Purrrrr · 02/02/2023 13:03

I’m another one feeling anxious! I’ve had some light cramping, my boobs feel slightly tender and I’ve had a teeny bit of nausea. We had IVF so I’m taking progesterone, which mimics pregnancy/PMT symptoms so I’m worried I should be feeling worse 😂

I’m 5 weeks today and did another FRER this morning and it was a dye stealer so feeling slightly better. Only 2 more weeks to get through until my early scan 🤞🏻

BambiBooBoo · 02/02/2023 13:48

@Rabbithole27 @adayatatime23 oh think goodness I'm not the only one!!!!!
It was seriously stressing me out!!!!!

@afinethingindeed relax? What's that?😂 jokes aside the waiting is stressful

I've started having waves of nausea. Also had HG but it didnt start u til 6 weeks so I still have another week or so.. feeling for you and sending support. I myself am gearing up for the rough ride ahead..

Mitfordian · 02/02/2023 15:14

Is everyone contacting the midwife already....? I had a horrible MMC a few months ago so won't bother to contact them until at least 6 or 7 weeks. Will probably have a private scan at 8 weeks ish and hope for better news. If this works out, it will be my second baby and 4th pregnancy. Trying to carry on as normal but feeling quite light headed sometimes.

afinethingindeed · 02/02/2023 15:22

@BambiBooBoo haha i know right!
I'm trying to remember when I relaxed with my first... probably still haven't 😂
Seriously though, I think I had a private scan at 10 weeks and I probably relaxed a bit then. I'll probably do the same this time... if I make it 🤞

Needtobuildabridge · 02/02/2023 17:24

Today has not been good. I can't stop worrying. I'm convinced something is going to go wrong any day now.
I'm doing my job terribly, and I just don't give a damn about anything right now.
