I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@Ss32

I'm quite crampy too, which I'm worried about because that was my only symptom last time which then ended with my early MC.

Did you have cramps with your first? And what do yours feel like if you can describe?

Thanks!

@Needtobuildabridge i can’t really remember too much but I do remember, with my first, I didn’t test for about a week as I really felt like my period was on the way! Sometimes it feels a bit like period pains, other times it just feels a bit weird like stretching/pulling.
I hated the first 12 weeks last time as you’re just in the waiting stage - it’s very nerve wracking!

Itsokaymama · 28/01/2023 07:56

Welcome everyone!
@Needtobuildabridge your progression looks great!
When is everyone thinking of contacting the gp/midwife?

Purrrrr · 28/01/2023 08:09

Hi ladies! I’m just tentatively dipping my toe in here. I’m 4+2 today. We had IVF to conceive after struggling with unexplained infertility. This was our first cycle so it feels too good to be true at the moment! Trying to stay positive.

adayatatime23 · 28/01/2023 09:14

hi! I’m 4+2 weeks after a miscarriage at 6wks at end of October (was my first pregnancy). Tested faintly positive 10dpo then stronger at 14 and a digital positive so decided to stop testing to save my sanity!
fingers crossed for us all and our October babes 👻

Infinitebows · 28/01/2023 09:18

I'm thinking of contacting the midwife in a few days as I would like an early scan and may need to be monitored due to my age, miscarriage last summer and having a heart shaped uterus. Most days for me it feels like my period is on its way, boobs feel like lead weights! When are you all getting in touch with your midwife?

Beckabo · 28/01/2023 11:03

I'm definitely cramping too which worries me a little as that's the symptom I had last time but I also have nausea so that's one more! I've already contacted my midwife, although for where I live, I have to self refer and wait to be contacted. The wait is killing me!

Chanteuse · 28/01/2023 11:56

I am going to refer myself to the midwife on Monday I think!

fleur89 · 28/01/2023 14:18

Hello, just found out I'm pregnant and must be only a couple of weeks along.

I am breastfeeding my 11 month old and haven't had a period since I fell pregnant with her back in 2021.

I felt some light cramping this week and this morning I had light spotting that disappeared soon after. I thought it might be my period coming back but since it disappeared I thought I'd test. With my first baby I had implantation bleeding too.

Anyway, I got a faint positive on a strip test and therefore decided to do a digital. I'm positive 🎉

Hard to calculate my due date since I haven't had a period since May 2021 😆 Will go to the doctors for an early scan in the next few weeks.

I'm still breastfeeding so symptoms feel different to last time. I have cramping, bloating, constipation and slight nausea. Last time I had really sore breasts but I haven't felt that at all this time around.

I contacted them and had correspondence already,
I have blood tests at 7 weeks and then an appointment at 9.

adayatatime23 · 28/01/2023 15:09

@Infinitebows think im going to send emails on Monday!

Pollie89 · 28/01/2023 15:11

Did you contact midwife or GP? I can't remember which you're supposed to contact 🙈

I've still got the odd cramp but not many other symptoms which is fuelling my worry but crossing everything that all is ok

Rose1023 · 28/01/2023 15:19

I could self refer to the hospital midwives. Saw a form online yesterday and they contact me today! Was surprised how quick it all was

ginandgiggles · 28/01/2023 15:48

Hi everyone, please may I join? I am currently 7dpo but displaying some positive symptoms. I have had (in no order, just what has happened in the last 2 days)

  • lower back ache
  • pulling / pinching in lower and left side abdomen
  • occasional light headedness
  • overall just "heavy" and weighted

I have had 4 miscarriages (3 x chemical) in the 12 months of trying. I've had these tell tale signs before so they aren't new. This time round however I have had the following in addition;

  • extreme thirst but not dehydrated - I'm talking like constant cotton mouth, cannot quench thirst
  • lotion creamy CM
  • Acne breakout - I'm lucky enough to rarely have a spot, including as a teenager
  • v exhausted

Am currently undergoing tests to see if a small polyp in my womb has contributed to the losses. I'm being fairly practical in thinking this one isn't any different, but nice to have a space to lay it all out! How is everyone doing? x

Infinitebows · 28/01/2023 15:54

Exciting yet nervous times for us all! After reading the comments I think I'll ring the GP practice Monday for an appointment with the midwife, I remember last time thinking it would be a 20 minute appointment and I was there over an hour!

Hopefully this time everything is okay for you. I had a MC last June and have been desperately trying since. I'm super nervous the same will happen again so I don't envy your worry after 4! My fingers are tightly crossed for you! Xx

Halpmer · 28/01/2023 18:25

I'm also crampy, I remember it from the first time. Light cramps compared to my usual period cramps but I do suffer with them a bit so they should be! Also extremely thirsty! Fatigued but I also have a bit of a cold at the minute (joys of having a small one in nursery). Get heartburn ever so slightly when I'm hungry and if I'm up in the night but other than that, feeling good!

Really making the most of it this time before the nausea comes (it may not, but I'm expecting it to after last time). Preparing to live off of potato waffles, tangfastics and rich tea biscuits for 5 months again 😫😂.

ginandgiggles · 28/01/2023 18:52

@Halpmer have you tested? you're 10 DPO now right? x

Halpmer · 28/01/2023 18:53

@ginandgiggles yeah I couldn't help myself and tested yesterday at 9dpo, that's the first time I tested with my son as well so hoping this is another sticky one!

ginandgiggles · 28/01/2023 18:53

@Infinitebows thanks my love, same to you. It doesn't matter how much we search for signs or a hint, all we can do is just wait for nature to do what it does best. Which makes it even more frustrating haha x

ginandgiggles · 28/01/2023 18:54

@Halpmer congratulations sorry I misread! Keeping fingers and toes and eyes crossed for you x

Belles22 · 29/01/2023 00:35

4+4 here after a 10 year gap🙈

Halpmer · 29/01/2023 02:24

@Belles22 aww! It must all feel so fresh with the 10 year gap!

Belles22 · 29/01/2023 02:33

@Halpmer I'm still trying to get over the initial shock. Congrats to everyone here

northernmam · 29/01/2023 06:03

Hello, I hope it's okay to join. I'm currently 5+2 and according to my Flo app, my due date is 30th September, however I'm sure this will change when I have my first scan. And even if it doesn't, my babies have always came late anyway, so I'm fully expecting another October baby.
This will be our 3rd baby and our 2 children both have October birthdays too, so it's a busy and expensive month for us 😂
Good luck to everyone and hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies xx
