I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

Hello, I just got my BFP today. 2nd pregnancy. Lots of pelvic pain. Irregular cycle so hard to judge due date but currently estimating Halloween!!!

Summer022 · 15/02/2023 16:42

Hi ladies,

just wondering about symptoms as I only really have sore nipples and some cramping but absolutely nothing else, no tiredness or nausea etc. The lines on my tests are getting darker slowly but surely which is good but just wondering if I should be feeling anything else at this point? I almost want to feel sick or something just so I have some proof that I’m actually pregnant, if that makes any sense! I might sound totally crazy 🤣 but I still just can’t believe it. 5 weeks tomorrow so hoping I start noticing some more symptoms soon. Xx

PeopleAreToads · 15/02/2023 17:01

@Summer022 nice to see you over here from the TTC threads!

I'm similar, felt pretty rubbish last week but symptoms have eased massively apart from cramping/bloating. Would be feeling pretty worried if testing lines weren't getting darker by the day.

My intense googling tells me symptoms often aren't noticeable until week 6 so we still have time

mariamari · 15/02/2023 17:14

Awww hello those of you just joining with your BFP! I feel so excited for you all. I find being here makes it even more real & feels lovely to be in a similar boat as others.

I mainly feel tired and cranky as hell. Often irritable. And then in other moments almost euphoric and blissful! Alllll the feels.

Very little energy though which is annoying as I was just getting into a yoga practice that I have zero motivation for now, ha!

No sickness. But weirdly enjoying eating mackerel straight from the tin. Any foodie tips for the none nauseous (...yet)?

mariamari · 15/02/2023 17:16

I also found myself scrolling at celebrities who had their babies in their late 30's / early 40's which felt strangely encouraging (I'm 38 & the pressure around pregnancy & age keeps popping up in my mind). Open to support!

NSx · 15/02/2023 17:24

Is it just me, or do you all feel like you’re peeing a lot? sorry if too much info 😂😜

Chanteuse · 15/02/2023 17:55

I am peeing none-stop! Must have had 4 wees in the night last night! For me (6+2) my main and most consistent symptom is fatigue. I am in constant need of a nap 😴

NSx · 15/02/2023 18:02

@Chanteuse ill be honest I feel like sh*t - have some sort of sore throat/sinus/cold thing going on making me feel rubbish and I feel low in energy 😅 … I’ve pee’d about a million times 😂

MeganC104 · 15/02/2023 18:20

@NSx I have a horrible cold too! Feel awful and nauseous. Not COVID though which is good

cruciverbalista · 15/02/2023 18:23

I had the cold last week, it was absolutely horrible. Luckily I've recovered after a few days of bed rest. 6 weeks today and exhausted!

NSx · 15/02/2023 18:40

@MeganC104 mine isn’t covid either I think it’s just your immune system being down a bit for implantation, im only 3+6 so I’m newly pregnant and on the later end of a October baby 😅❤️
@cruciverbalista i don’t have the fatigue yet, that’s all to come 😫😂 once ur placenta takes over u think u feel better, towards the end of the 1st trimester !

Baby1023 · 15/02/2023 18:53

Hi everyone, I’m 6 weeks 3 days. We had a reassurance scan today and saw the baby’s heart beating which was lovely!
I am really struggling with nausea and sickness - been prescribed 3 different types of medication by the doc but neither have really taken the edge off. It l’s bad the the mornings but then gets really bad in the evenings too. I can’t wait for the sickness to ease so I can really enjoy the pregnancy!

Jadeypie · 15/02/2023 19:00

Unfortunately it's not good news for us we have been diagnosed with eptopic. Please anyone who doesnt feel right just have a check 🥰

Wishing everyone a lovely healthy nine months and congratulations Octobers getting loads of lovely babies ❤️

cruciverbalista · 15/02/2023 19:05

Thanks @NSx that's what my mom said too. Looking forward to it! I'm only getting nausea around 8pm for now.
@Jadeypie I'm so sorry, that sounds really scary. A friend of mine had one and nearly died, had to have the ovary removed. (She got pregnant again a year later!) I hope you caught it early and are safe x

monsteramunch · 15/02/2023 19:08

Oh @Jadeypie I am so, so sorry. Sending you lots of love Flowers

NSx · 15/02/2023 19:33

@Jadeypie I’m so sorry 😞… I’m sure you prepared yourself for the worst but the reality is always deflating and sad. I hope you managed to catch it early and recover quickly ! sending you lots of hugs and positive vibes x x

@cruciverbalista I’m getting a little bit of nausea and light-headedness (not sure if that’s a word 😂) mostly in the morning and then it settles … I hope u feel better soon & if it makes u feel any better I feel awful too 😂😂😱 x x

Soda123x · 15/02/2023 19:40

@Jadeypie sending lots of love and hugs ❤ xx

MeganC104 · 15/02/2023 19:45

@Jadeypie I'm very sorry. I wish you all the luck for the future

Hankthehonk · 15/02/2023 19:57

@Jadeypie So sorry this is happening to you, thank you so much for taking the time to share advice here, I hope you are OK x

iloveeggs · 15/02/2023 20:00

oh @Jadeypie I'm so sorry. I'm currently being investigated for the same but they can't confirm for sure yet. Sending you lots of love xxx

NSx · 15/02/2023 20:02

@iloveeggs im so sorry you’re going through this too! Can I ask what’s led them to investigate this? I suffered a loss last year so I’m paranoid and anxious with this pregnancy as it is, should I be looking out for something? X

Sineadf91 · 15/02/2023 20:03

Evening everyone.

Anyone any tips for insomnia? I can fall asleep OK but just can't stay asleep. Seen every hour on the clock last night 🥴 have been waking atleast 4 times a night since I found out I was pregnant. Just turned 6 weeks today.

iloveeggs · 15/02/2023 20:07

@NSx I've been having a lot of right sided pain, I'm still early about 5 weeks though. My GP said he wanted to send me to rule it out as a precaution, I'm not far along enough to be scanned yet though. The only symptom I have is pain and more so on the right side. I have endometriosis too so it's hard to tell what's normal and not. I'm hoping it will be okay but time will tell.

@Sineadf91 I'm also in the same boat, keep waking up constantly and then awake from 5/6am. It's a nightmare!

NSx · 15/02/2023 20:12

@iloveeggs I’m so sorry that you have to contend with this, but fingers crossed that it’s nothing & just a normal thing for you. Sending lots of baby dust your way!
@Sineadf91 i don’t know but my sleep hasn’t been great either, probably doesn’t help that I’m unwell - let us know if u find a remedy x

PrimarilyParented · 15/02/2023 20:12

@Summer022 i wouldn’t worry about not having any symptoms. This is number 2 for me and with my first I didn’t even know I was pregnant at this point. Even once I did it was only cramps that made it obvious and I only got sick 3 times in the first trimester (all after travelling by train and I get travel sick anyway) and once in the second (on a stressful day). Some people get lots of symptoms and some people don’t. For me right now my only at my are mildly sore boobs (different to PMS) and I’m starting to feel bloated too.
