I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@BambiBooBoo that's great line progression for 3+3. I think it's quite normal not to have any symptoms at this stage. With my DS I only tested at 6 weeks and hadn't noticed anything up to then.

Jigglemonster · 31/01/2023 13:36

@TealDreams so many cramps but very randomly. Rolling over in bed I seem to get them, almost like a pulled muscle. It's really quite disconcerting but when I haven't had any for a while I worry!

@afinethingindeed congratulations! I agree, I wish I hadn't tested so early. I'm very anxious already and I'm 4+4/13dpo. I keep testing and stressing that the lines aren't getting any darker.

My cramps are a lot less today so that's ok.

I had to see an OOH GP the other day as I had some bleeding and he told me that the lines will only get so dark, some people will get VERY dark lines but not to be concerned if you don't. Digitals are best and if they say pregnant you've got a good amount of HCG.

It's such a scary time & im very grateful to have other people going through the same! I've been taking low dose asprin and have a scan at 6 weeks and they said they'll probably give me progesterone so hoping I make it until then xx

BambiBooBoo · 31/01/2023 13:41

@Jigglemonster I had HG in every pregnancy and that started before/ straight away when I got my BFP so it's strange not feeling anything yet
Thank you for reassurance- I'm definitely overthinking it. And no idea when I'll get to speak to a midwife

Jigglemonster · 31/01/2023 13:50

It's strange isn't it, before thinking about ttc when someone tells you they're pregnant you don't think much of it. It's only when you go through it that you realise how stressful it is. Especially the early stages before telling anyone.

Infinitebows · 31/01/2023 13:56

Hi all, I've been in touch with the midwife today and she doesn't want to see me until the 15th February! I'm 5+4 today but she did say she can probably get me an early scan on that same day or the following day - I'll be just over 7 weeks. It's not long I know but seems an age away, the days seem so long when you're this early on don't they? X

Allaboutmama · 31/01/2023 14:32

Hi, congratulations to you all.

hope it’s ok for me join, I’m currently 5+2 after finding out super early at 3+4.

this is our second pregnancy/baby. Our little boy is currently 22 months and I’m so excited for him to become a big brother!

My midwife isn’t seeing me until the beginning of March when I’ll be nearly 12 weeks 🫣 they said they’ll then do the first scan probably the week later. Feels like such a long time to wait with nothing but the two lines on a test (or about 50 tests 😂)

Chanteuse · 31/01/2023 14:51

@Needtobuildabridge 3rd Jan so is it 4 weeks on the dot? I’m so confused 😂

TealDreams · 31/01/2023 14:52

I don't even have a midwife ?! 🤣 I have a scan booked next week via the EPU as I've had 2 losses but then I was told you go on the NHS website and fill out for a community midwife between 6&8 weeks? Is that right or should I be ringing someone sooner ? Thanks 😊

Rabbithole27 · 31/01/2023 15:32

@TealDreams I think it depends on how your local hospital works. I rang my GP surgery and there is a midwife based there so she booked me in with her but I think with some hospitals you can self refer straight to the hospital!

Beckabo · 31/01/2023 16:36

I'm in the same boat! Only just got contacted yesterday for my booking appointment on the 6th March! I was wondering if it was normal to get the appointment that late 😅

Infinitebows · 31/01/2023 17:06

@Rabbithole27 same here, you ring the GP and see the midwife for appointments there. My scans will be done at the hospital. My age, last years MC and the fact I have a heart shaped womb means I'll have to be monitored and hence the early scan. It seems such a long wait for you though 12 weeks! I'm going to pay for private scans at every opportunity if this pregnancy progresses because I'll just worry so much waiting for NHS ones.

MuppetTime · 31/01/2023 17:06

Can i tentatively join in? Been TTC for 1 year exactly this month. Wasn't expecting much as I'm 40 (almost 41). I got my first ever BFP yesterday (well i actually took 4. 4 different brands!) which I think was about 12/13 dpo. We weren't really trying this month to be honest as I have been ill with a bad cold and we were due to start IVF this month so was waiting for period to start to ring the clinic and get going.

Bit nervous really as I know the miscarriage risks at my age are much higher. Plus i had an early loss in my 20s as well so I'm very aware it can happen.

No symptoms at all yet. Just lack of spotting which I normally always get in the run up to my period. Also have sore breasts but again I always have that from ovulation to period. I did have a weird taste in my mouth yesterday morning and my temp went up more than it ever has which prompted me to test. Otherwise I wouldn't know!

Allaboutmama · 31/01/2023 17:24

In my first pregnancy I contacted the GP and then got booked to see a midwife through them. This time however I became such good friends with my midwife I've contacted her directly and she's booked me in to see her on the 13 Feb. So early I'll only be 7 weeks!

BerryTowner · 31/01/2023 17:40

Pregnancychatter · 30/01/2023 17:51

When are you all telling people?
I know I should wait but...😨

I told mine and my partner's immediate family and our closest friends within a few days of finding out. These are all the people I would be happy to tell if I had a miscarriage and get their support. So maybe 25 people in all know now?

I won't tell extended family or other friends for a few months, once a bump starts to appear and I can't really hide it.

Needtobuildabridge · 31/01/2023 17:45

@Chanteuse If you're a 28 day cycle then yep, 4 weeks today! If you're 29 days, then subtract 1 day I.e. 3 weeks 6days. If you're normally 27 days add a day- 4weeks 1day.

Hope this makes sense!

Welcome to the club @MuppetTime and congratulations too! I'm the same other than feeling like my breasts are made of iron when I come down the stairs I wouldn't know too!

Chanteuse · 31/01/2023 17:52

@Needtobuildabridge that makes a lot of sense thank you!

adayatatime23 · 31/01/2023 17:54

Anyone else got insomnia? I didn’t have this with my previous MC but really not sleeping well (only partially fuelled by anxiety!)

New2thisss · 31/01/2023 19:57

Hi all! Hope it’s ok to join ❤️

I am feeling super anxious, this is my first and currently 4+2 and due around the 8th October.

Currently suffering with sore boobs/ sensitive nipples, mild heartburn and constant mild cramping for the past 4 days.

I have had to tell my managers at work today due to working in a lab and I have no idea how we’re going to keep it quiet/ not raise suspicions from the rest of my colleagues. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Sending everyone a lot of love and positivity - we’ve got this! ❤️❤️

Hello! Looks like we're exactly the same dates- im
Also due 8th oct. Also been having cramping, sore boobs and waves of nausea. 🤢

Pollie89 · 01/02/2023 05:52

@New2thisss

Welcome!

I work in a lab as well. I haven't actually told anyone at work yet though 🙈

Just trying to keep it from work for as long as I can. What type of lab do you work in?

adayatatime23 · 01/02/2023 06:10

@New2thisss @Pollie89

i also work in a lab! I told my boss as soon as I found out but she knew I was trying because of previous MC. I like to know she’s looking out for me too although I’m being crazy careful anyway reading every SDS 😂

TealDreams · 01/02/2023 06:12

Any one else experienced a loss in symptoms? 4+6 and boobs no longer hurting & it's worrying me x

Pollie89 · 01/02/2023 06:19

@TealDreams
My symptoms seem to come and go. Try not to worry, they will probably hit you with pain later on 🙈
