I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@amybooth I’m a nurse so can’t get away with different trousers as they’re so strict on uniform! I hadn’t thought about the hair band trick- that’s a great idea!

amybooth · 13/02/2023 12:42

@Bee1994 I'm a nursing associate working in community so have strict uniform too which is why I thought I'd better order some new trousers quickly.
How are you feeling with work? Im all of a sudden very conscious when rolling patients and things

New2thisss · 13/02/2023 12:55

Nausea has well and truly hit me now we’re over 6 weeks, has anyone got any good advice on how to cope with it & staying healthy? I am finding everyday another food repulses me and I can no longer go in the fridge without wanting to gag 🤮😂

I also finally rang the local midwife team today (GP didn’t care 😅) only to be told to ring back in 2 weeks time when I’m 8 weeks. I’ve been putting this off since I found out as I thought it would be too early. I guess living in the West Country, everything will be done “dreckly” - not great for nervous girls like me 🥹

Beemug · 13/02/2023 13:47

Completely know what you mean re. trusting your body that everything is okay at this stage! I’m normally a complete planner so this is testing me 😆 I’m thinking it’s good practice for labour - “trust your body”!!

braxxen · 13/02/2023 14:30

@New2thisss
I can sympathise with you so much. I can barely face eating and like you said, the fridge is horrendous. I don't have any advice as my diet is nibbling at stuff. I'm so dehydrated as can hardly drink anything either. Threw up last night after trying an actimal. I don't have any magical advice but here for moral support!

Hankthehonk · 13/02/2023 14:35

@New2thisss I feel the same! I'm only 4 weeks today but nausea and food aversion is already bad. I am kind of hungry but can't face eating anything. I had strong cravings during my first pregnancy (for fried chicken especially....) but not really happening yet this time!

iloveeggs · 13/02/2023 15:06

The cramps are pretty painful today, how do ye cope? it's my first so worrying about every twinge!

Jadeypie · 13/02/2023 15:25

Unfortunately it's not very good news for my and I just want to let people no my symptoms

I had to have a early scan today as av been having a lot of back ache and period type pains constantly not bad enough where I needed painkillers.

I got shooting pains yesterday in my bum and it just didn't sit right with me hence the scan today

I have been diagnosed with unknown pregnancy location 🙈 I had to have blood tests today and they have come back over 2000 so a pregnancy should have been seen looks like it could be a eptopic got another scan Wednesday

Hankthehonk · 13/02/2023 15:36

@Jadeypie So sorry to read this, especially as you are still left with some uncertainty. It must be really hard. Thank you for taking the time to update us and share your symptoms, that's really thoughtful of you during such a hard time.

Gosh, sorry to hear how slow they're being. I live in Central London and reported my pregnancy at around 4 weeks. I receive an NHS appointment within 24 hours and went to my first midwife appointment at UCLH hospital for blood tests and questionnaires at 5+3. My blood test results came back partly the same day and the rest the next morning. First scan already booked in and loads of information provided. Such a huge difference between different NHS catchment areas

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 15:56

@Jadeypie thank you for sharing. How many weeks are you?

Jadeypie · 13/02/2023 16:16

@Hankthehonk we also look for answers so just wanted to share somthing Incase someone was looking x.

@katherine123x I'm 6+4. When I had my scan they couldn't see anything but thickening of my womb so she said depending on my blood tests it could be earlier than thought but with the blood results it's indicating somthing should defo have been seen and she did say it could be eptopic so another scan on wed but I already feel like I know the outcome shooting pains up your bum in your tummy is somthing to not ignore xx

I'm so glad I listened to my gut and not just ignore all these aches and pains

LWestYorks · 13/02/2023 16:46

Is anyone’s hair super greasy? If so the best shampoo/conditioner? Like before pregnancy I could go a week without washing and using dry shampoo 🙈 but now I have to wash it every alternate day.

BambiBooBoo · 13/02/2023 16:46

Had my scan, they can see a pregnancy which they're estimating around 6 weeks
But they can't see a baby - just a pregnancy

They can't see a reason for the bleeding so that's either a good thing- or I've already lost the baby / I'm about to lose the pregnancy

Have to go back next Tuesday. But I don't feel hopeful as this is the same as the first MC I had. And I don't even have any symptoms really now

Malzzy · 13/02/2023 16:50

is anyone still testing with One Step IC's? I'm 17dpo today, and although they progressed to what I'd call a 'good line', they haven't changed in the last 3 days, and all seem the same colour. I know I should stop. But I can't help but worry.

Smiffette · 13/02/2023 16:57

I'm 4 weeks today, I did another CB which said 2-3 weeks, compared to 1-2 last Tuesday. So I am happy to see it progressing .

I caved in and booked an early scan, I'll be 6+3 when I have it, but I know I won't cope waiting for NHS dating scan so I want to be able to relax and enjoy this after a MMC previously and one successful pregnancy.

I will probably end up doing another CB next week to see that 3+ like OP said. it's just reassuring to know it's progressing

acaciabluebell · 13/02/2023 16:59

When did people start experiencing nausea? I'm 5+3 and not feeling any yet.

mariamari · 13/02/2023 17:44

@acaciabluebell I’m 6w & still no nausea :) Perhaps a bit more gas than usual… I got a test yesterday with a line as strong as the control line which I gather is a good sign but generally just going with the flow & counting my blessings to not be feeling sicky just yet! Sending moral support to those that are ♥️

fleur89 · 13/02/2023 17:52

@LWestYorks I use Olaplex. Expensive but you don't need to use much and I only wash my hair twice per week even though I workout every day. My hair has grown over 9 inches in the 3 years I've been using it (and I do get regular trims)

bambi102 · 13/02/2023 17:54

Hi Ladies, I had my BETA test today through my clinic and it come back positive 🥰 even though I had tested like a crazy woman last week i was so relieved to have it confirmed today. I'm definitely 4+4. The clinic has booked us in for early scan in 3 weeks time 😀

fleur89 · 13/02/2023 17:54

@acaciabluebell I'm 5+3 too and no nausea yet either. It kicked in around 6 weeks with my first

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 17:57

@Smiffette ahhh my CB came through today. Trying to wait until the morning to see if mine says 2-3!!

LWestYorks · 13/02/2023 17:58

@fleur89 thank you - I’ll treat myself
to some! I think we’re similar time, I’m 5+4 how far on are you? How are you feeling? X

fleur89 · 13/02/2023 18:05

@LWestYorks I thought I was 5+3 but just double checked and I'm 5+4 too 🎉
Feeling very tired, have fallen asleep on the sofa every night for 2 weeks before 9pm - I'm working full time and have an 11 month old, but my husband tells me this happened last time too. Feeling pretty bloated and experiencing on-off constipation. Experienced cramping and implantation bleeding (made me test) around the 3-4 week mark but very few cramps since. Eating healthy and staying active is helping I think.
How are you feeling? I'm weirdly looking forward to some nausea as that'll reassure me things are on track. I'll regret saying that soon though I'm sure. Anything at this stage that suggests things are on track is a win. Early pregnancy is so anxiety inducing!

LWestYorks · 13/02/2023 18:07

I will DM you :-) x
