I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@BoyMamaChloe thank you! I've ordered a digital 🙊🙊🙊 I really want to see 2-3 weeks. My lines were so strong that there wouldn't be much to see!! Im feeling ok.. cramps throughout the day still and v tired. Nausea comes and goes. How are you doing??

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 09:23

@amyalw sorry to read that ... fingers crossed for next cycle for you 💕

countrypunk · 13/02/2023 09:29

@Infinitebows I'm sorry to hear you're none the wiser yet. I really really hope you get good news at your next scan. Best of luck.
♥️

BoyMamaChloe · 13/02/2023 09:36

@katherine123x haha me too!! 🤭🤭 I need to see that 3+ to know for sure its getting stronger. How many weeks are you now? I'm feeling OK thanks, my cramps have eased off now but the odd twinges here and there. Absolutely exhausted and running around after a 2 year old at the same time 🙃 I feel so lucky though so I'm happy to power through the first trimester tiredness lol xx

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 09:54

@BoyMamaChloe still early. 4 weeks and 4 days ... I'm already so impatient 😂

Hankthehonk · 13/02/2023 10:09

@BoyMamaChloe I am feeling this toddler exhaustion too! My daughter is 2.5 and I work full time, I've already had people in a zoom call this morning ask if I'm ok as I look really pale. Super queasy and exhausted, this trimester was so tough last time around and that was without another child! Guess I just need to get through each day. I'm cancelling all social plans because I know work and parenting will take every ounce of energy! Solidarity to you with the toddler chasing - and I also feel super lucky, obviously. It's such a weird mix of joy and feeling like absolute crap physically 🙃

SillyOldBear3 · 13/02/2023 10:16

Does anyone else have a slight tenderness if they press their lower belly? Mine seems a bit sore, more towards the left side and it kind of radiates to my lower back / pelvis. Hoping this is normal and just things stretching...

I'm 4 weeks 5 days and lines are progressing well (almost as dark as control line this morning). Think I'll stop testing soon!

BoyMamaChloe · 13/02/2023 10:17

@Hankthehonk oh it's tough isn't it!! Last time was tough but I was furloughed for most of my pregnancy so I could just suffer the insomnia at night and sleep when I wanted during the day! Looking back I had no idea how easy it was in comparison 🤣 I have to admit, I've had a few moments of panic about how the hell I'm going to manage when I'm heavily pregnant and then with 2 of them! 🙃

BoyMamaChloe · 13/02/2023 10:19

@SillyOldBear3 it can be totally normal round ligament pain and everything started to stretch/shift but if you're concerned about anything then give your midwife a call/message. There are so many aches and pains that come with pregnancy that you're not warned about first time round, it can be quite scary!

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 10:30

@SillyOldBear3 I have had this too and we are pretty much the same days ... I have had all sorts of aches and pains down there the last week or so!!

SEG92 · 13/02/2023 11:00

Any tips ladies for staying calm? It's my first ever pregnancy and although I've done 5 tests now and all positive, because it's so early and can't feel anything yet I'm just worried. How do I know everything is ok? I haven't got any symptoms other than cramping and sore boobs and a stuffy nose and am so tired (been poorly on and off for a while). I know I just need to trust my body and stay calm. I've referred myself to the maternity unit last night so sure I'll feel better once I've seen/heard from them. 5 weeks tomorrow and just can't stop worrying that it's all going to go wrong 😔 which I know isn't helpful or healthy xx

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 11:11

@SEG92 try and keep busy!! I have been trying to just keep my mind off it so I'm not worrying and or focusing on every feeling and symptom. I know it's so hard ... my hubby is away all week now aswell which makes me anxious anyway! Hate being at home by myself! Are you going to book a private scan?

SillyOldBear3 · 13/02/2023 11:15

@BoyMamaChloe thank you, this is reassuring! I'm finding this stage so scary as it's the unknown, and too early for scans etc. I suppose we just just have to trust our bodies!

@katherine123x Glad it's normal, is it your first pregnancy too? 🙂 I don't have many cramps now but my lower back is quite tender!

@SEG92 I feel you! This stage is so scary, I keep thinking about what could go wrong, but I find keeping busy and trying not to overthink is helping. I'm 1 day behind you, and this is also my first pregnancy (apart from a chemical in December).

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 11:17

@SillyOldBear3 yes it's my first. The cramps have eased off for me. They are still there but nowhere near as often. Hoping that's because it's stuck in place!!!!!!

BoyMamaChloe · 13/02/2023 11:37

It's so hard not to overthink and worry about the unknown. I had 2 miscarriages last year and so I've been feeling super anxious. I'm surprised at how much I'm beginning to relax. It really is a case of "no news is good news" lol. As long as I'm not bleeding heavily or having cramps that are too much to just get on with, I'm reassured everything is OK. I had implantation bleeding this time around my period due date which I never had before!

With the cramps/ pains, they really are so normal and almost comforting when you think of what your body is doing to prepare for you little babies to grow! Something I wasn't warned about was "lightning crotch" 🤣 which is exactly as it sounds and more common as the months go on, but ouch!! Lol.

I hope any of this is at least a little reassuring but I'm glad we have this little group for support x

katherine123x · 13/02/2023 11:39

@BoyMamaChloe omg lightning crotch!! I was Googling the hell out of that the other day 😂😂

BoyMamaChloe · 13/02/2023 11:43

@katherine123x haha! 🤣🤣 so painful! Otherwise known as daggers and feel just as they sound lol! I had been out in public before and had them so bad I had to hold my crotch 🤣

SEG92 · 13/02/2023 11:53

Thanks @katherine123x @SillyOldBear3 I have a busy full time job so that should keep me distracted, it's only been 2 days since I found out though so it's playing on my mind a lot!

I've had this cold for ages too and haven't been able to exercise, once I can get back to my running and gym classes I'll feel a lot better too. A walk in the sunshine today should help 🥰

SEG92 · 13/02/2023 11:55

@BoyMamaChloe thank you so much and you're so right, if no bleeding or bad pain we have to be reassured that everything is ok. Got to just trust the process xxx

Bee1994 · 13/02/2023 12:14

This might be a stupid question so please forgive me 😂
I wear a uniform at work and pre pregnancy my trousers were getting a little tight! I’ve been on annual leave for the past week so haven’t had to wear them since finding out I’m pregnant- my question is will them being a bit tight when I wear them affect the baby? I’ll try and get them changed to a bigger size but knowing work this could be a couple of weeks! I don’t want to do anything that might harm the baby.

SEG92 · 13/02/2023 12:14

And yes to booking a private scan, going to book one for just over 2 weeks time to hopefully be able to see/hear the heartbeat! 🙏

Hankthehonk · 13/02/2023 12:18

@SEG92 I wish I had tips but I'm in the same boat really even though this is my second! With my first pregnancy, I didn't calm down until we had the early scan and knew everything was going ok at 7 weeks. I highly recommend the private scan, the cost is well worth that peace of mind.
Obviously after that there's still some anxiety but it really shifted for me and I felt able to actually be excited and plan for the baby coming. I think it will be the same again, so I just need to keep busy (which shouldn't be hard with a stressful full time job and a toddler but somehow I'm still finding time to be obsessive and anxious about the pregnancy!!)

SEG92 · 13/02/2023 12:26

@Hankthehonk I'm so glad it's not just me feeling this way, I knew it wouldn't be but so comforting to know. I'm hoping once the idea of being pregnant settles in my mind a bit and we book this scan I'll feel a lot better! Sending us all lots of positive happy vibes for a wonderful pregnancy xx

amybooth · 13/02/2023 12:36

@Bee1994 my work trousers won't even zip up now as I'm so bloated (I've also just come back to work after a/l). I've worn my dress and tights today and I've asked my boss to order me some bigger trousers. Can you get away with buying some black trousers from the shop and wearing them for now? If not baby is nestled so deeply in your tummy that tight pants shouldn't affect- you could also do the hair band trick x

amybooth · 13/02/2023 12:38

I've told my boss I'm pregnant today and it was so scary saying it out loud to someone other than my partner! I ended up having a hot flush and feeling a bit panicky🤦‍♀️😂
