I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

I think I'm only 3+2, I caught it so early like last time 😆

My symptoms are different this time around, maybe because I'm still breastfeeding a bit.

Current 3-4 week symptoms:

  • bloated
  • constipated
  • light cramping
  • light headache
  • thirsty
  • night sweats / feeling hot at night

~3-4 week symptoms with DD1:
  • sore breasts (was my biggest sign)
  • light cramping
  • bloating
  • smell of burnt toast!

4w+6d - Partner wants rid…. HELP:(

Having had a termination in October 2022 for baby no. 1 - instinctively knew straight away I had to get rid. Just started a new job and wasn’t the right time - I found out yesterday I’m 4w+5d. Instantly wanted to keep it. Despite looking for work again (self employment ran dry - bloody winter), and all the plans we had are still happening this year (converting our iveco daily into a forever home and leaving the uk at the end of the year for good) - I STILL WANT TO KEEP IT. I know it adds a little spanner in the works but I know I’ll still be able to use a drill and jigsaw and paint brush with a 6 month bump, not a concern for me.

The issue is, my partner is adamant that he doesn’t want a baby yet, and not sure if he ever wants a baby now having experienced this twice in 3 month - his concerns are making space in the new build for the baby/child, limiting my inability to get work in a few years when we need income due to looking after a child, and ‘What about going to the Ashram in India’.

My take on it is pretty simple, we’ll easily have space in the van for bab/child - just make considerations whilst planning to ensure baby is accounted for, who knows what’s gonna happen in 2/3 years time when we need to go to work again - we cannot plan for these things, yes having a child may make it harder for me to get work, it may also open up more opportunities, we just can’t say for sure, and you can take kids to the ashram so I’m not bothered about that.

Partner sees the child as limiting options and future, I see it as opening up possibilities… help!

Anyone here had problems with partners wants and your wants not aligning with pregnancy??

So anxious today. I had some stomach pain yesterday, that was mild/moderate. My boobs aren't sore today, and I'm convinced that today's line is lighter than yesterday's.

How do you all get through the really anxious days?😔

@Needtobuildabridge i can’t help because I feel just the same as you, each day is a battle in my mind after a previous early loss. My husband is telling me I need to distract myself but how?! It’s all I can think about

@Needtobuildabridge I’m trying not to test now that I’ve done a digital. Will do another cheapie tomorrow to see line progression maybe.

I think it’s hard because we’re not going to experience every symptom every minute of the day!

@Needtobuildabridge
I really feel this! Feel like I'm so focussed on the cramping so it's causing so much worry and anxiety. Every time I go to the loo I'm expecting to see blood.
Thinking of you! We can do this xx

@Needtobuildabridge i also just wanna say, re. Your symptoms. I find my boob tenderness goes away a bit overnight and builds up again over the day. I think unless we have bleeding we need to keep our chins up! Hope you’re having a relaxing Sunday. I’ve been out a long walk with the dog which helps my mood.

@Higz Sorry you’re going through that. It might be helpful to create your own post as you’ll get more responses. It is difficult when you want different things but you have to think how you’ll feel if you go through with an abortion you don’t want to do. It could make you resentful.

Hi all,

Congratulations on all the BFPs!

Please can I join? I'm 4+5 so due 3 Oct. I have DD who is 3 so this is hopefully our second baby but I had 2 miscarriages last year so like others I'm feeling pretty anxious. The days are draaaaaagging aren't they? I'm trying to be optimistic as I'm feeling pretty ropey but I also cannot stop obsessively checking my resting heart rate on my Apple Watch and it's massively up and down so not reassuring at all! 🤦‍♀️

Fingers crossed for healthy pregnancies all round 🥰

Hello!

I'm due October 6. I'm not sure if I'll get an early scan or not. I know my last period date so I don't think we need it for dating, but it might be nice to see something on the screen. Still, I think it might cause more anxiety than reassurance so may skip it this time as well.

Are any of you skipping the early scan?

Im in the same boat ladies! Constantly worrying, going the loo to check for blood. trying my best to stay positive and testing everyday to see that dark line! Thats the best reassurance for me at this stage.
Think we need to take each day as it comes and do whatever we need to do to keep ourselves distracted.

@Belles22 it's a 22 year age gap for me... as you can probably imagine... I'm shitting it! So wanted though.

Belles22 · 29/01/2023 16:55

@Infinitebows jeez that's a big gap, is it just know more you have? Son is from previous relationship and with current partner less than a year. Was on evra patch consistently for 4 years and it somehow failed so very shocked and still trying to get my head around it.
Anyone else feeling very feverish, very hot one minute and frozen the next? Don't remember this on my first.

@Belles22 I just had the one son wayyyy back when I was young. Always wanted more children but my husband didn't. Son now lives/works abroad and I'm recently remarried so thought we'd give it a go because Ive yearned for another always, and here I am. Just hope this one is a sticker - miscarried last June. No fever just the bad achey boobs and seem very thirsty like another poster has put. Hope you're okay x

Hi All 👋
Can I join - I just had my BFP yesterday and should be 4weeks+4days, after trying for the last year. Previously had 3 miscarriages, with our last one being a missed miscarriage, so trying not to stress right now, but any little twinge/cramp makes me more worried! Feel like the next 8weeks are going to drag!

We are the opposite. I never wanted more but he did. Still trying to figure everything out. We live 2 hours apart and neither of us are in the position to move. Just wondering as to why someone would not get an early scan? I wanted to get one but just for the pure reason to see if its twins as in runs in my side of the family and I have a funny feeling this time as the test came up positive before it had even fully absorbed never seen anything like it

Hi all new ladies 👋🏼 so pleased of this post and being able to speak about our great big secret.

@Belles22 It's funny how life pans out for us, definitely not as I had planned with this gap but we just have to go with it I guess sometimes. I can imagine the distance is such an issue, id have no idea what to do there! Dying to know if it's twins for you!

@Infinitebows Thank you for checking in, that's so kind.

Yes I went shopping with a friend, and retested this evening and got a slightly darker line.

I just couldn't believe that the same test would be so different. I've attached the photos. The blue and the green are both freedom tests from Tesco, same packaging and everything! Second photo is my retest from this evening.

The blue test lines are all really good! Maybe its something to do with the change in batch and the fact they have changed the design. Hope your feeling okay

Hello lovelies, congratulations on all of your BFP!

I hope you don't mind me joining? I'm 4weeks +2 so it is very early days but after a chemical back in May and having not even a flicker of a BFP until this month, I'm trying to be optimistic and just try and enjoy it.

I don't really have that many symptoms other than extremely sorry and enlarged boobs and feeling tired.

I've booked in for a 7 week viability scan so just looking forward to that.

So happy to have people to chat with who are going through the same x

Hi everyone! Thought I'd say hello, I'm also in the October baby boat.

I'm 4+2 but have long cycles and late ovulation so about 11dpo I think. I've been ttc #2 for 7 months so really hoping that this will stick.

I'm really trying not to keep testing but is so hard not to analyse everything. I also have some pulling cramps - to the point that when I cough I feel something pull and then slightly panic that I've done something 😅. No other symptoms but remember sore boobs and nausea kicking in at about 6 weeks last time so may be a little early.

@Needtobuildabridge those lines look great, mine are still squinters on the strip tests, though when I look a bit after the time frame they're darker - I know you're not supposed to do that but makes me feel a bit better. Going to have to remortgage with the cost of all the frers!

@Needtobuildabridge that is definitely a lovely dark line. Pleased you're feeling better too. X

Hi, @doublewater and @Jigglemonster! I'm 5 weeks today and really want an early 7 week scan to see where baby is positioned (heart shaped uterus) definitely booking in tomorrow now, feel like I didn't want to tempt fate by booking in but suppose I really should now.

Hello, I hope it's okay to join. I'm currently 5+2 and according to my Flo app, my due date is 30th September, however I'm sure this will change when I have my first scan. And even if it doesn't, my babies have always came late anyway, so I'm fully expecting another October baby.
This will be our 3rd baby and our 2 children both have October birthdays too, so it's a busy and expensive month for us 😂
Good luck to everyone and hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies xx

My due date is also 30th September according to Flo!
Third for me too, I have two boys but they’re much older now. Congratulations 🥰
