I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

I'll set one up and just call it something boring like Girls Chit Chat or something - any suggestions welcome 😂 the inspirational well of name ideas is truly dry... if I hear nothing in the way of suggestions by 10 I'll go ahead!

Halpmer · 06/02/2023 09:27

Will post the link when it's done!

BambiBooBoo · 06/02/2023 09:59

I'd love to joint the Facebook- love the idea of the secret name
One of the questions should be "are you joining from the MumsNet group?" Just so people don't join thinking it's a random Facebook group 😂

JJM13 · 06/02/2023 10:24

I would like to join the facebook group it’s going to be hell waiting for the the scan i don’t know how i did this last time with DD 😩

Isitthathardtobekind · 06/02/2023 10:38

@bobb11 no advice but I’m the same. Always am when pregnant. I am going to really try not to think too much - difficult for an over thinker! I know it will get a lot worse when I start feeling sick.

Halpmer · 06/02/2023 10:43

Hello! Update:

I've made the group on FB if anyone wants to join. I've selected the two options pictured below so it is a private, hidden group and it's also named something inconspicuous.

There are 'rules' as suggested by Facebook and a question about whether you've come from Mumsnet or not 😆.

If anyone wants to be an admin let me know!

I may join the Facebook group if that's okay!

I'm 5 weeks exactly today. Bit anxious because I have a pulling sensation in my left groin, I know it's probably 'growing pains' but I'm 37 and know the risks can be higher for me.

Hope everyone else is feeling okay today!

Purrrrr · 06/02/2023 10:52

I’ve just joined the FB group!

I have an early scan booked with my IVF clinic next week when I’ll be 7 weeks. Would it be really dramatic to book an early scan this week too? I can’t think of anything else 😩

Isitthathardtobekind · 06/02/2023 11:04

@bobb11 just saw your next post about waking in a panic! Can also totally relate! Had a really bad night Saturday night- waking up frequently in complete panic but in the day I can be much more sensible - if I start to worry I can see the positives and think all ok, but at night it’s like I have a completely different mind! Again - no advice sadly but interested if anyone has any!

TealDreams · 06/02/2023 11:26

Anyone got barely any symptoms 😭 5+4 and my boobs were sore but now they're not. I'm scared.

lighthousechristmas · 06/02/2023 11:30

@TealDreams I am 6 weeks today, and all weekend I had no symptoms. Literally mentioned it to my OH this morning, and then a few hours later the nausea started and hasnt stopped! I guess i just need to remember symptoms wont show every minute of every day - fingers crossed

countrypunk · 06/02/2023 11:32

@TealDreams I'm the same, my boobs were sore and now they're not. I'm 4+6. I know it's scary, but there's absolutely nothing we can do to change the outcome. I don't know if that's reassuring or not! I've just booked an early scan for next week.

New2thisss · 06/02/2023 11:33

Has anyone contacted their GP/ midwife team yet? It’s giving me anxiety as I have no idea what to say or who to contact, “hello im pregnant, can you help me😭” 😂. I’m currently 5+1 day and starting to feel nauseous

TealDreams · 06/02/2023 11:53

@lighthousechristmas @countrypunk thanks for the reassurance guys. If nothing else it's nice to not feel alone at least. I can't help but feel this will end in miscarriage like my other pregnancies. I'd do anything to vomit or have painful boobs right now 🥲 xx

TealDreams · 06/02/2023 11:54

@New2thisss I haven't yet - I've got a scan on Thursday and if they see something viable etc I'll ring then. After 2 losses I'm too nervous to get the ball rolling just yet.Xx

lighthousechristmas · 06/02/2023 11:57

@New2thisss I did, a week ago - I just said I was pregnant, and she texted me a link. Midwife called me literally day after and I'm booked in for 1st March. I've booked a private scan for 7 weeks (15th Feb) to help me with anxiety!

This just prompted me to ring mine - I have epilepsy so I'll be under a bit closer watch than normal I guess. I'm only 4 weeks.

They were so lovely and my GP is going to ring me back this afternoon. I'm going to need to tell Mr Munch this afternoon I think!

We've been trying for 13 cycles and it's been so tough seeing stark whites every month so I was going to wait a bit longer in case anything changed... but with doctor calls and me wanting to vom / having a splitting headache, I think I'll have to let the cat out of the bag now!

Would you mind posting the link again? It won't work for me 😔

countrypunk · 06/02/2023 12:02

Oh @TealDreams this must be so difficult for you. I'm sure you're excited but also trying to prepare yourself in case it doesn't work out. An early scan is a good idea. I'm sending you all the lucky and positivity in the world for a happy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Xx

Would it make you more or less stressed? It’s really common to read posts from women on here who went for early scan and there was no heartbeat and so they panic but really they just needed to wait a few days or week for it to develop.

Halpmer · 06/02/2023 12:35

Weird thing about hidden, private groups is that the links expire after a certain length of time/number of people - so here's the fresh one!

countrypunk · 06/02/2023 12:39

@ThomasinaLivesHere I didn't know that. Now thinking I might cancel my 6 week scan! God this is hard.

mummytoemilia · 06/02/2023 12:42

@countrypunk I've had 2 scans at 6 weeks and there's been a heartbeat both times. Xx
