Ah pretty bad round ligament pains here! And vagina cramps? I’m pretty sure that’s from previous baby causing poor pelvic floor muscles so the weight is uncomfortable 😅

BCxx · 12/02/2023 19:34

@jjeanii oh no way, how exciting! There is no chance I could keep it from my partner, I’d slip up 😂

BCxx · 12/02/2023 19:36

@BMK yeah I don’t know.. I was really impressed the first week and came away feeling much better but now I kind of feel like he’s just trying to pad the appointment out with chat and then last week did a bit of hypnosis towards the end (that’s the main thing he’s good at) but I’m not sure I feel any different and I looked at my phone when I came out and it was 35 minutes past, when it’s supposed to be 45 minute sessions. I mean 10 minutes isn’t a big deal but when you’re paying £500 for 6x 45 minute sessions you think it’s quite a lot per minute 🙈 I’ve got this week and next week to go so we’ll see!

BCxx · 12/02/2023 19:37

@DesertSnow thank you, I’m sure I’m thinking it’s a bigger deal than it is 😅

BCxx · 12/02/2023 19:40

@Paintandpots thank you, yeah definitely, if there’s no other positive at least they’re seriously efficient 😊

UsernameNotPresent · 12/02/2023 20:30

@BCxx good luck. I've got everything crossed for you.

We are moving house in next 2 weeks. It's all planned out like a military operation, and I am just hoping all will go to plan. Work is being extra full on too which isn't helping. In my non pregnant days, I would be reaching for a large glass of wine right now. Will definitely need my coffee tomorrow morning to start next 2 weeks with some semblance of enthusiasm.

ChloeN · 12/02/2023 21:18

@Amme18 is your vagina pain like achy then shooting up it?? I keep searching it and it says normal but any pain freaks me out

Sjw30 · 12/02/2023 21:22

@ChloeN this is happening to me today! And also just general twinges in my mid pelvis area. I posted earlier and seems to be happening to a few of the ladies

Potterurotter · 12/02/2023 21:53

@ChloeN thats also known as fanny daggers and definitely normal 🤣

BCxx · 12/02/2023 22:30

@UsernameNotPresent thank you.. if only I could take you all to hold my hand 🤣

BCxx · 12/02/2023 22:32

@ChloeN yip I had this last time! It got quite bad at the start of the third trimester when I was on a long walk with the dog one day and I had to sit down.. actually thought it must be me going into labour 🙈 I’ve heard of people having it in the first trimester too though!

My pain has been more in at both sides almost where your ovaries would be so it’s not directly from baby but I’m assuming it’s either to do with my c section scar or just stretching pains

CityKity · 13/02/2023 01:08

Is anyone else twinging across their belly? I have this strange stretchy sensation just below my belly button which feels a bit like ab pain after an ab workout, but I haven’t been doing any ab exercise so can’t be that!

I’m guessing its things expanding down there but I don’t love the sensation, as it’s a bit achy. Who knows, could wake up tomorrow and it’s all gas 😅

LS888 · 13/02/2023 09:41

@CityKity also experiencing some aching/stretching. I said this to my husband this morning I had stomach cramps but said it could be wind! Who knows… the wind is so bad!! 🙈

Now that some of the sickness has eased (Just tends to be morning and night now). I sometimes don’t feel pregnant. After weeks of not wanting to feel sick now I am worried as I don’t have it. I guess at 15+4 it’s normal.

Also just seen on my NHS pregnancy app I use (badger app) that I have been offered another scan - a growth scan at 28 weeks. It’s says it is because we went to a zika infection country in the 8 weeks before conception. It says if all is well with that scan I can have a midwife led birth and not a consultant one as previously said. I will ask about this at my 16 week appointment on Friday.

@BCxx hope all goes well today. Thinking of you x

BoodifulGoose · 13/02/2023 10:41

Morning all, hope everyone's doing okay 💙

I had my 12 week scan 3 weeks ago today, same time I got my bloods done. They said it would take 2 weeks for results, and I'm assuming that because I haven't heard anything it means it's okay, but now it's been 3 weeks I'm a bit worried, I have quite bad anxiety and the not knowing either way is concerning me.

Would it be unreasonable to phone the midwives centre today to see if they can let me know? If I say I understand things are probably very busy, but just wondered if they did have the results and hadn't had a chance to update them on the app yet?

Thanks in advance 💙

BoodifulGoose · 13/02/2023 10:49

Just caught up, hope today goes well @BCxx 💙

BoodifulGoose · 13/02/2023 10:57

Update: I posted to FB also and got some reassurance it wouldn't be unreasonable, called and low chance of all 3, so that's a relief 😅 now just to wait for the 20 week scan which feels a life time away now 😂
Mental how when you stop worrying about one thing it just immediately transfers to the next 😂

Paintandpots · 13/02/2023 11:18

@BMK I'm about 13 weeks now, really starting to regret being pregnant.

@DesertSnow it just seems so relentless doesn't it? I'm starting to worry that I'm getting really depressed about it all. Need to put on my big girl boots and just get on with the day.

@CityKity how are you still running? Is amazing! Well done.

Well done to those of you managing to get some excersise, i am going to wait and see how this trimester goes before trying to get back into it.

On the plus side my little boy is feeling much better after his fever and blocked nose. He slept quite well last night despite blocked nose. Still seems to think i can pick him up all the time because that is what everyone else does, and I'm like no no no you gotta use your legs.

Right in going to pop into a shower and then force myself to eat something. 🙃

BCxx · 13/02/2023 12:30

@LS888 @BoodifulGoose thank you!

It went as okay as it could have done I think. They just had a look and put the stuff on my cervix to see the cells. It was high grade as I expected due to the speed of the appointment but they’re going to see me again at 26 weeks then expect I’ll get treatment 3 months after baby is here so il cross that bridge then 🙈

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 13/02/2023 12:58

@AnnieApple123 do you mind me asking what exercise videos you are going with? I am desperate to get back into exercise but a little bit scared after spotting throughout. I love running but I am worried that might be pushing it too far 😂

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 13/02/2023 13:00

@BCxx glad the procedure went okay today 😊

overwork · 13/02/2023 13:34

Oh heck @BCxx what a worry. I'm pleased it's over and done with for you for now, hopefully you can put it to the back of your mind until 26 weeks.
@LS888 do you mind saying where you went on hols? I've been looking for somewhere to go in April and almost everywhere outside Europe seems to have had cases of Zika but there doesn't seem to be any active outbreaks at the minute.
Also wondering about the exercise vids. I've had to give up my usual class because my knee is now duff, but I'm hoping the physio will let me do some more floor based exercises if I can find some!

BCxx · 13/02/2023 13:55

@MinnieFirstTimeMum thanks, glad it’s over!

@overwork just my luck that it’s happened now and not at a time when I could have instantly had it removed 🙈 Will try to focus on the baby now and add that to my worry list for the end of the year, great 🤣

overwork · 13/02/2023 14:07

Yes exactly, it's just not helpful on top of everything else is it. Nor is it nice to have that in the back of your mind. The only positives are that you know about it, and you're on the correct treatment path.

BCxx · 13/02/2023 14:10

@overwork yeah it’s good they’ve been so quick to get onto it. I’m just reading online stories of people getting biopsys of their cervix with what appears to be a hole punch and no pain relief and I think I’m dreading that more than actually having the baby 😬 might ask if they could just hole punch away while I’m numb in my csection, if only 😂

CityKity · 13/02/2023 14:14

@BCxx what are the chances that this happens right now! I’m glad you got seen to quickly and have a plan of action. Worth bearing in mind that this could have just as easily been picked up next if that’s the way the smear test had fallen for you, so I hope the delay isn’t stressing you out!

@overwork Im also looking for holiday inspo! I was hoping for Thailand but even that’s not recommended due to Zika.

@Paintandpots The only way I’m still running is that I’ve had a very easy first trimester and don’t have any other children to worry about!
Having said that all tugging pains that kept me up last night are still around today and I think I’m starting to get lightening crotch too, so todays run was a bit uncomfortable and I had to stop and walk a few times which bummed me out a bit. I hope these pains are temporary and it’s not the beginning of growing pains for the next 5 months!
