@Narwhal88 @Sjw30 a lot of people just have those mats or pod type padded mats to lie them on but as we have a dog I knew he’d just go up and lick his face or something even if I had to nip to the toilet. I found he was fine with the Moses basket though and would occasionally have a look in if he heard crying 🙈

@MinnieFirstTimeMum good luck! I will probably end up doing the same although has been saying I wasn’t telling anyone 🙈 I’ve ended up having to tell two friends in the last week so now kind of think if they know I’m going to have to tell everyone else.. I just don’t think I want the attention or ‘how are you feeling?’ questions again 😂

All good on my scan, measured 15w1d so due 2nd august! That date actually ties in with the date my first scan gave me xx

@AnnieApple123 thank you! I had to ask if the baby was okay she didn’t say anything for ages, then said oh sorry I’m just getting a good photo 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

@ChloeN exactly the same with my scan! We were sat in silence for half the scan nervously wondering if it was all okay. Eventually DH piped up to ask and they said everything perfect you’ve got a very cute baby! Couldn’t they have led with that!! So stressful 😅

@BoodifulGoose I’m 15+2 today and not showing either which I’m totally fine with as I haven’t told my manager at work yet or gotten around to seeing some friends to let them know. I think it’s totally normal so I wouldn’t worry about it, everyone’s different! I definitely bloat easier than usual so baby must be taking up valuable space in there somehow!

@ChloeN glad all is fine! We had to do the same 🤣 I guess they are just concentrating but it feels like the longest time before they say anything!

@CityKity @Sjw30 its so weird I was like ermmm🤣 the lady we had last time was so nice and chatty but this one was just silent, I double checked if my placenta was at the front and she was like well yeah but you’ll find that at 20 weeks Why not just say now you can clearly see it 🤣

Hi! Looking to join in on the thread, seems like a really great community you all have here! I'm expecting my first baby on 18th August and had my 12 week scan yesterday - all going well so far thankfully

baby is doing fab at 11+5 so due 26th August. The actual scan wasn’t enjoyable if i’m honest, the sonography seemed stressed and frustrated that the baby was in an awkward position. It made me feel like an inconvenience. She asked if I’d had anything to drink to which I said yes but I got the vibe she didn’t believe me though my bladder was busting! Eventually at the end we had to ask if everything was ok and she said yes. Glad baby is doing ok, so relieved but I think the scan could have been better - very clinical.

@Wife2b thats a shame!🥲 my 12 week one baby was soo awkward and bless her the sonographer was so sweet and tried so hard! I think it’s hit and miss because my one today wasn’t anywhere near as good, they do make you feel awkward for asking questions!

So glad all is well @Wife2b although I can’t pretend I found my scan much fun either. It just felt very stressful constantly waiting for reassurance that all was OK.

All went well at mine too 😊 Due 21st! The sonographer was lovely but I felt really like that at my 20 week one last time. I think they’re sometimes so busy doing their job that they forget you’re not taking a breath until you hear all is okay 🤦🏼‍♀️ @Wife2b good news about your scan though!

Is anyone else still being sick and gagging? I just took my pregnancy vitamin, gagged and was sick in the kitchen sick and it all came out my nose 😭😂😂

ME!!! Every morning my gagging is so bad & I'm still occasionally throwing up ahhh the joys
