@Createcomet they will milk you for all you're worth if you let them! It's not even your own business and you're going in when not able to, for whose sake?your sense of duty... I can't say that your efforts are truly appreciated and that comment is point in case. You can be replaced as can we all and sometimes you have to be smart and put yourself first. I have been that soldier and it just wore me out. I actually don't remember the first year of my eldest life as I didn't take maternity save for 2 weeks and worked on through as if there was no change and I really regret it as I was just on auto pilot and exhausted myself as thought noone else could do my work or that I had to not let a baby affect progress. (totally not understanding things/being defiant!)

I'm 14 weeks today, this was my scan last week I'm over the moon about it , 1st child with my partner his 1st too , we're both 40 , I seem to be in bed a lot just tired , constipation is my main symptom too I'm really happy but just want my energy back soon , went off lots of my usual foods no sickness though just feeling sick on and off still .

Yeah is actually my business. We're buying it, imminently. In the next 2 weeks I will be director and 50% shareholder. Me and my husband are doing this so that we have more flexibility in our lives and can attend sports days etc etc without having to ask anyones permission. But this handover period and dealing with solicitors is driving me mad. I need to push through it, but it's hard work. I'm having to sift through a lot of legal documents and speak to solicitors, agents, banks, landlords etc to get everything in place.

The job itself is much easier than this, but this bit right now is horrendous.

So yeah, I totally appreciate your point. But I'm in the middle of closing a deal that has been ongoing for 3 years. And I simply can't drop the ball now. So that's why I'm in work 🤷‍♀️

Good luck for the scans today, hope they’ve went well so far! Finally get to say mine is next week! Feels like the longest wait in history 🙈 I don’t remember it going this slow the last time!

we had a private scan yesterday with my husband and son - was amazing seeing baby and my son kept pointing and saying baby 🥰🥰 they threw a 3d scan in as well which I wasn't expecting and I didn't have with my first. Amazing experience. I'm measuring ahead so 11+6 today and have my NHS scan next week.

caught up on the last week or so of messages (finally) - good luck to those who have scans today - I’m in the next week boat and it can’t come quick enough :)!

11+2 today and my symptoms (other than constipation created by the devil himself) seem to have gone. I’ve got some mild pain and stretching in my pelvis area and can feel the top of my uterus popping out now. Huge stretch mark down my left boob (much to my dismay) but atleast it means they’re doing what they need to do.

Sorry to those having a shit time at work. I have to agree with the lady that said your corporate position is replaceable though so make sure you put yourself first and take whatever time off you need. Easier said than done I know (especially with difficult colleagues).

@unluckyinlife glad it's not just me with going up cup sizes already! I bought new bras last week and still feel like they'll only last me a month or two before I need more 🙈
I also bought some bra extenders to give me some room around the band, which helped for a week or so before the cup size was too small anyway! Not sure if they'd help you?

My scan went really well, midwife was lovely and printed off so many photos for us 😂 we saw the heartbeat and she talked us through loads where we could see the different sides of the brain and all sorts 😳 it was amazing but very real now!
Measuring a couple of days ahead of what I thought so exactly 13 weeks today and due date has moved to 7th August.

@marleyandme I've not heard of them! Going to research now in the hopes they'll help. Its amazing how much the body can change and so quickly!.

I bought my first baby item today, I think its beautiful. I wanted something to make baby feel real.

I got it in tiny baby and newborn as my son was only just over 4lb full term and my daughter was 7lb and late so I don't seem to grow big babies!

@Createcomet that is SO exciting!! That's as exciting as the pregnancy. You should be so proud of yourself particularly being a warrior when really not able. Scans so positive! Just found out that I can have mine Friday morning (when will be 13,6!). Also @Firsttimemomma1 was it you that was submitting a thesis and moving house within days of each other about a week ago?

Hey everyone, scan was perfect. Measuring a bit ahead at 13+1 today, so due date moved to 6th August. Baby was VERY wiggly so the scan was almost 90 mins long, they kept making me get up and wiggle around to get it to move! Feeling slightly emotional that this is probably my last ever “first” scan, such a ridiculous thing to get sad about, but just relieved that everything went well. Hope everyone else’s scan today went well! X

Hi, I’m brand new and due on 26th Aug

It is exciting, but I'm right in the intensely stressful period at the moment. Hopefully a matter of days now....but yeah, crazy. Scary. Exciting. Overwhelming....all the emotions. I've barely had time to come to terms with the fact that I'm pregnant 🤦‍♀️ even though we planned this pregnancy.

By the end of the year I'm going to have bought a business and have completed our family. Which is certainly something to be proud of. Just so. Much. Work.

Just when I thought I was done for the day half an hour ago, the accountant was on the phone, it's like a war of attrition 🤣

It's genuinely so lovely to see all these scans! Congratulations everyone!

So many beautiful scan pictures. Scan went well today too, however the scan pictures look horrific there is a huge line right where babies nose is. That it looks like Pinocchio. Honestly that’s no lie. I’m wondering if it’s maybe my section scar. Will have to ask! Due date is now 13th August @AnnieApple123

Hi ladies, congrats on everyone's scans! They are all so beautiful!
Finally about to catch up on about a 6days worth of msgs!!!!
The feeling of tiredness is slowly subsiding and whilst I'm having 1 nap a day still, at least it's not 3 like before! I'm 11+2 but when I went to epau last week I measured ahead by 4days. Official dating scan is next Monday and I can't wait seeing everyone's pics!
So sorry for those of you having a rubbish time at work :( it's the last thing you need.
I am going to get a bra fitting on Friday as I'm off. Also brought my first maternity leggings over the weekend as I couldn't breathe in my clothes!

I also had my scan today and all went really well - was very surprised to be measuring 5 days ahead at 13+2, so new due date of 5th August. We’re over the moon!
