Can I just ask...Has anyone experienced an increase in symptoms at around 11 weeks?
I was hoping to be coming to the end of this but the nausea and tiredness is getting worse again. I can do something for an hour and then I need to sleep again 😭 I've just cleaned the bathroom and had a bath and now I feel like I need to go back to bed 😭😭😭 Managed to get all the way through so far without taking a sick day or needing my in laws to look after my son (I try to avoid asking because they're in their 70s and already have him 2 days a week)....but I'm struggling now!!! I can't take a day off work this week because I'm going to leave us all in the s**t so I'm trying to keep on going....but I'm so tired!!!!

@AnnieApple123 yeah I just like to block all of that stuff out and hope none of it happens but it does cross my mind still 🙈 If it’s nice weather in the UK it’s good as long as you have somewhere good to go. It doesn’t feel like a holiday when you’re just at home but I think if I book a few weekends away, places that might have outdoor pools and stuff we won’t really be missing out. That’s all going on holiday abroad is really, it’s just for the sunshine and another highlight is being able to drink which we can’t do anyway so 😂

@Createcomet ive felt good this week but we were going for brunch today so I just had a bowl of cereal early this morning and thought I might be fine with that. I must of gagged about 20 times while getting ready and on the car in the way there, it was brutal! I do think a lot of it’s in my head and as soon as the thought even crosses my mind it just starts but I’m so looking forward to this bit being over now 😩

@Createcomet I found that after a break/feeling a bit better in weeks 9 and 10 week 11 and 12 went backwards- but for me weren't as bad as week 7 and 8 but still disabling. Is there anyone you can pay to mind your child in their house or creche as you really do need to sleep and likely sleep though your lunch break when working! You should just tell everyone if you haven't as that will hopefully give you some leeway? There's only 1 of you and you need back up presently. I personally would explain to your in laws as it's now that you need them and there are 2 of them.and they sleep every night

Just spent £50 on a pregnancy pillow 🫠 bought cheap ones off eBay last time and they were crap.. but £50 😵‍💫

Oh the gagging is awful isn't it? I can't bear brushing my teeth at the moment, it makes me gag so much!

@BMK you're right, but my family are 6 hours away and my husband doesn't want to tell his family yet, basically because I've had 2 miscarriages. I don't really know what he's hoping to achieve by this because if I have a miscarriage tomorrow, I'm not going to go to work and I'm going to have to tell his parents otherwise they'll wonder what on earth is wrong with me. So yeah....I don't know. I've got a week left until my scan and I've come this far, I'm hoping I can drag myself through another week.

@Createcomet you will get through. Not every day is bad. Try taking b vets to see if the following day you feel less awful. I kind of found that to be the case. Need ones that are higher strength than the basic Centrum Berocca pharmacy and supermarket broad spectrum ones. Health shop etc ones. You can do it. 6 days left to go! I wonder if you have twins as not so many twins abounding and you feel pretty unwell!(*nothing more to justify this comment!)

@BMK funnily enough I keep getting a weird feeling I've got twins. I don't have space in this house for twins, so I'm kind of praying it's not!!! If it is I'll have to get on with it though 🤦‍♀️ just want to feel better!

Much sympathy @Createcomet . My symptoms have also generally been quite up and down, backwards and forwards. I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow and am keeping my fingers tightly crossed that this might mark some sort of change as I’m feeling guilty I don’t do as much with DS now as I aspire to. I wasn’t planning on sending him to nursery yet but may have to rethink that if the second trimester continues like this first.

Rest assured though that your chance of miscarriage now is very low indeed.

@AnnieApple123 I can relate to the guilt. I've barely seen my husband or my son all weekend, I'm just in bed. It's so miserable.

I felt better at about 16 weeks last time, so hopefully you're coming to the end of feeling rubbish! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I don't know if I can manage another 5 weeks of being this unwell 🤦‍♀️ I know i don't have a choice though!

I hope everyone starts feeling better soon. I've been relatively lucky in that I didn't know I was pregnant for the first 6ish weeks so thought I was just recovering from the flu. I've been OK the last few weeks, I've just been so tired. The fact I can't drink coffee as it makes me feel sick isn't helping.

I'm planning on working until 40 weeks so it all just feels so far away but I am desperate to spend as much time with baby as I can!

My 12 week scan is still so long away too 😪 . I don't have the scan until the 20th when I think I'll be about 12 plus 5. I just keep telling myself the wait until the 20 week scan shouldn't feel so long 😂

@sally16 what one did you go for? I’ve got a bit of bad back during the night so no idea if it’ll help!

12 weeks today.. scan on Wednesday and I'm getting nervous 🤣😅

@sally16 scan neves are the worst 🫣 I’ve got my next one in less than 2 weeks and it seems to be creeping round quick

I can relate to scan nerves. Mine isn't for another 10 days or so.

I actually think im going to have to take a sick day tomorrow, and I already feel so bad about it 😭 I just feel incredibly unwell. Keep falling asleep, sick constantly and dizzy. I really need to go to work tomorrow to resolve some urgent stuff, and I feel so guilty. Especially as it means my husband will have to drop our son off at my in laws instead of me, and then he'll be late for work 😭 argh!

@ChloeN @sally16 I ordered one nearly two weeks ago! It was on offer on amazon and was a 12ft one. I swear by it! I sleep so much better and my sciatia and hip pain that I get if I walk or stand lots at work is so much more manageable. I can't believe I never got one before, especially in my last pregnancy where no position was comfy!

My husband hates it however and says I've replaced him!

I absolutely do not recommend the dream genie one. I fall in and out of love with it and most of the time it’s just in the way so wouldn’t bother with that pillow!! 12 week scan tomorrow, then we’re telling my parents tomorrow evening. I was 18 weeks when I told them last time (thank you covid) but my belly is huge and I look like I’ve had the life sucked out of me so I don’t think I can hide it anymore. Any one else scanning tomorrow??

Unfortunately I won't be using a pregnancy pillow by the looks of it. DS still ends up in our bed every night from about 3am, and I don't think we all will fit on the bed if I get a pregnancy pillow.. let's see what it will look like when I will grow a proper bump.

@sally16 I bought the bbhugme when pregnant with DS1 which was EYEWATERINGLY expensive, but it’s lasted me 2 pregnancies so far and lots of life still in it so I guess cost per use is pretty low. Still bloody expensive for what is essentially just a long sausage pillow though.

@Createcomet dont feel bad. Pregnancy related illness feels like some sort of false thing we should just get over, only because not all people experience it. Just think, if men were also able to feel this rubbish I guarantee it would be taken way more seriously and we wouldn’t think twice about being off ill!
