Congratulations @botleybump !

@TeddyBeans i'm so glad you mentioned the drooling earlier 😂i thought it was just me! Trying to get a decent nights sleep with my PGP and a soggy face is an absolute nightmare 😂

It's grim isn't it? 🤣 I've found a fleecy blanket on my pillow wicks away the drool quite nicely if you have something similar floating around? It's nice to not wake up with a wet face!

Congrats on those who have had the baby!! We've certainly come a long way together.

@TeddyBeans or anyone on aspirin - can I ask...why will you be stopping the aspirin at certain weeks? I havent been told when to stop so I just assumed until the end, should I be questioning midwife or assume till the end if havent heard anything?

I've been told the same as @TeddyBeans and reminded at a few appointments that I must stop at 36 weeks. Definitely question them on it!

dmb91 · 23/01/2023 10:25

Any tips for easing the leg cramps at night?

Mrs2022 · 23/01/2023 10:36

Thanks for the new thread @TeddyBeans and congrats to those who already have their babies on their arms! 😁

@dmb91 I find drinking a glass of tonic water with quinine helps!

I wasn't told specifically but it's in my notes to take till 36 weeks.

Morning all, hope your well 🥰 I don't know about anyone else but these final few weeks are flying by 😮 34 weeks today! Slowly but surely we are nearly ready for baby boy 🤍

Its crazy isnt it, im also 34 weeks today :)

Magnesium spray! I use it every night and haven't had once since the first crippling one 😂I've got the BetterYou spray and moisturiser and it's supposed to help with sleep as well.

I'm now booked in for a c-section at 37 weeks in w/c 13 Feb which feels VERY SOON...

havanamama · 23/01/2023 11:19

@LizziBee so soon!!

I've also been told to stop aspirin on 36+0.

Bobduncan · 23/01/2023 12:17

Apparently omega 3 is also a blood thinner, has anyone been told to give this up at a certain point? 🤔 I have the pregnacare supplements which come with the separate omega tablets too xxx

I only take Pregnacare Original and haven't been advised to stop it.

TeddyBeans · 23/01/2023 12:33

@Bobduncan I found this but I'm looking for peer reviewed sources at the moment!

Same.

Babynum2 · 23/01/2023 13:28

All those that are on blood thinning injections my consultant told me if I have had it in the previous 12 hours to going into labour you cannot have an epidural. I'm not planning to have one after much thought so should be OK but just thought I'd share that!

Bobduncan · 23/01/2023 13:44

Thank you @TeddyBeans , that's a really interesting article! Looks like it may be worth stopping a few weeks before as I certainly don't want to delay labour and go overdue 😁

Cats23 · 23/01/2023 14:20

Congratulations @botleybump !

I'm 31 weeks this week, I feel the weeks are now slowing!
I've felt sluggish the last few weeks and Im still paranoid I will deliver early!
( No reason to think this will happen- I guess its as my 1st was v.prem, the last 3 x full term though!)
Ive felt a bit nauseous the last few days - not sure if it the daily Celaxain jab???
My stomach is feeling pretty tender from the jabs still, so perhaps rhe reason off feeling off and nothing is easing the bruising- It takes 3-4 days for the bruises to come so im very much a nice shade across stomach constantly with brewing bruises under skim (see below, The angle makes them look high but all are around the belly button line)

Babynum2 · 23/01/2023 14:26

Ohhh @Cats23 why don't you try them in the top bit of your thighs I can't go anywhere near my stomach with them whilst pregnant. I do normally do in stomach when not pregnant though.

TeddyBeans · 23/01/2023 14:41

@Cats23 oooh you poor thing it looks so sore 😭

GreenIsle · 23/01/2023 14:43

I was due a growth scan last week but i had to transfer hospitals due to local midwife unit staying closed so was in the middle of transferring and waiting on them to contact me. Midwife from new hospital rang me this morning to say that I'd missed an appointment today (an appointment that they never told me about!). Now have an appointment for Wednesday I mentioned growth scan because it was due last week and she said oh if they don't do it on Wednesday they will just bring you back.

Not a great start to the new hospital.

TeddyBeans · 23/01/2023 14:44

@Bobduncan I didn't find anything scientific to back it up (might be looking in the wrong place, idk) might be worth a chat with your midwife about it?

OP posts:
TeddyBeans · 23/01/2023 14:46

@GreenIsle love it when communication just doesn't happen 🤦‍♀️ hopefully it'll all get sorted on Wednesday! 🤞

JB2021 · 23/01/2023 14:46

Had midwife appointment last week, it was a different midwife to all my other appointments when I've seen the same on. Measured as smaller so referred for a growth scan. Neither she or I bothered as think it's just because it's a different person measuring.

Is the growth scan the same as the 12 and 20 week scans I've had? FTM here!

Franklin321 · 23/01/2023 15:42

Placenta scan went well this morning, has moved to 31mm away (needs to be 30mm) so happy with that! Hopefully book in the section next week at consultant appointment 🤞 they did a growth scan at same time and she’s estimated 5lbs 5oz with predicted delivery weight of 9lbs! Obviously take it all with a pinch of salt but they weren’t far off prediction with my son so expecting a nice chunky baby girl 🥰

6 weeks and counting!

Due March 2023 - Thread 7
Franklin321 · 23/01/2023 15:45

@JB2021 similar! They measure head, tummy and leg and come up with a predicted weight based of the measurements - obviously they can be off but generally give you a range of how big/small/average baby is growing!

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 23/01/2023 15:50

@Franklin321 its crazy how little room there is in there now compared to a 20 week scan, no wonder we get kicked and punched so much!

Dreamingof3 · 23/01/2023 15:51

So I've not finished getting nursery furniture or packed a hospital bag ...but I have prepped a birth announcement outfit/setup 😂 I had to share this somewhere...can't cope with how cute it is
