Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

Hi ladies,

Good news. Strong heartbeat, measuring at 13+6 weeks. EDD 23rd Sept. Over the moon and feel like a giant weight has been lifted ❤️🙌🏻

Oh my goodness look at that 🥹 I am so pleased to hear. I am due the 20th so we are not far apart ❤️❤️❤️

kl1999 · 24/03/2023 19:15

@Pandalovee thank you so much lovely ❤️❤️ I’m over the moon. Ahhh no way!! We are super close xxx

Blueskies4 · 24/03/2023 19:57

@Daisy155 Im so sorry for the loss of your baby boy 💔

Congratulations on this pregnancy and welcome to the group xx

@kl1999 magical ❤️ genuinely over the moon for you, what a lovely milestone to reach x

Astar21 · 24/03/2023 20:08

Lots to catch up on in this thread ladies!
I've come down full of a cold and feel terrible 😞 But hopefully baby is all snug and okay.

@CaliGirl47 hope you're okay and the spotting has stopped.

@kl1999 congrats on a lovely scan ❤️

@Daisy155 welcome to the group 🌈 sorry to hear about your loss. It's lovely to now have such mutual support on this crazy journey.

HopefulBee · 25/03/2023 05:43

@Daisy155 Welcome and sorry to hear about your loss. Wishing you all the best for your rainbow baby.

@kl1999 What lovely news! Such a nice scan picture. So happy for you and hope you can enjoy this feeling of relief now.

So nice to hear all the due dates coming in after the 12 week scans. ❤️

CaliGirl47 · 25/03/2023 12:28

Oh wow that is fantastic news! 🥹😍 Over the moon for you hun @kl1999 I hope you’ve been able to celebrate 🍫🍰 It’s the best feeling in the world seeing a healthy little peanut growing well on the screen. 🤗💗

Sorry to hear you’ve got a cold 🤧 I really hope you feel better soon. @Astar21 Thanks for thinking of me. The spotting has eased off thankfully. 🙏🏻 really hoping that’s the end of it and I don’t experience that again.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. 🤗🌼

Astar21 · 25/03/2023 18:38

@CaliGirl47 thank you 🤗 sure I'll be fine in a few days. Just trying to rest and keep up the fruit/vitamin c intake! I'm pleased to hear the spotting has stopped 🙏🏼 Have you booked your gender scan yet?

CaliGirl47 · 25/03/2023 20:20

Yes plenty of honey and lemon and I’m sure you’ll be right as rain in no time. 🤗 @Astar21

No I haven’t booked the gender scan yet. I do need to get on top of it. But my local venue isn’t open on the day that I wanted to have the scan so I need to find a different place. Have you got one booked in?

On another note I am now getting an unexpected babymoon. 😂 I mentioned to hubby earlier today that I’d like to book a week in Cornwall this summer just a caravan or something to try to have a bit of a summer holiday. Well once he started looking at the prices he found an all inclusive week to Kos for the same price! So now I’m really looking forward to a bit of sunshine in May. I’ve never been to Kos before so I have no idea what to expect but it will be nice just to sit on the beach and read a book. ☀️🌴

Astar21 · 25/03/2023 21:05

@CaliGirl47 Oh hopefully you'll be able to find a place and date that suits 💖💙 Yes I've booked a private one for Easter Sunday! I didn't think they'd be open then but it's let me book it online. Then I've got my NHS 20w scan booked in for 1st May 😊
That sounds amazing! How lovely to have that to look forward to in May ☀️😎 I've never been to Kos but I've been to a few of the other Greek islands and they're all beautiful! Plus that's a nice time to go, not too hot!

Bizzybee900 · 25/03/2023 21:48

Hi all, I'm due 30th Sept, so just 13 weeks today! Slightly behind the rest of you I imagine. Had my first scan last week all well tg. Here after 2 miscarriages too so was glad to find this thread!! Have any of you told people in RL for me just thinking about telling anyone (even my mum!) makes me feel anxious, I just keep imagining it will all be a disaster again. .. Have you guys been brave and told people yet?

Blueskies4 · 26/03/2023 08:14

Welcome @Bizzybee900 congratulations on this pregnancy and your scan, glad you’ve found this group it’s a lovely support network x

Im a day behind you from my dates! I’ve told a few people, some of my close friends etc asked too.. but not my colleagues, etc… probably will closer to 20 weeks if it isn’t obvious before then!! X

kl1999 · 26/03/2023 10:08

@Blueskies4 @Astar21 @HopefulBee @CaliGirl47 thank you all so so much!! I was so nervous before the scan, they were running behind and I was jittery and sweaty.

I nearly cried of relief when the sonographer said “wow what a great strong heart beat”. The baby was kicking its legs around and even sucking its thumb. It was amazing ❤️

@Bizzybee900 so sorry to hear about your previous losses, but huge congratulations on this pregnancy! Welcome to the group ❤️

We tried to keep it to ourselves for as long as possible, due to what happened to us previously. But when I started to get really sick and tired, we told very close family members as it was clear something was going on. Now we’ve had our scan and all looked well, we’ve told the rest of our families.

I completely understand how you feel in regards to telling people. You are brave if you share the news and you’re also brave if you choose to keep it to yourself!!

After a loss, I think it is hard to be completely and confidently positive. You always have seeds of doubt and worry. Unfortunately it’s something that accompanies us all, due to our past experiences. But try not (I know it’s hard and much easier said than done) to let your past experiences dictate this experience for you.

After telling all of our families, the love, happiness and support that has come from them has really filled my heart and has personally helped me feel much more positive.

Happy Sunday lovely people ❤️

RMS0209 · 26/03/2023 10:09

@Astar21 hello! I have been looking to book my gender scan for Easter Sunday too! 😊

How is everybody doing? 15 weeks today, feeling fine! (Which I will take as a good thing) such a sore back last night with resulted in an early night but fresh as a daisy today 😁 x

HopefulBee · 26/03/2023 12:01

@RMS0209 I’m almost 15 weeks and the nausea has stopped but I’m still so tired. I have a toddler though and a busy job so that adds to it. nice that you’re feeling so good!

@Bizzybee900 Welcome! Sorry to hear about your mcs. Sadly everyone here knows how painful that is and how scary it is to tell people about a new pregnancy. I was also a bit nervous so I waited until we had all the blood test results and we also had an ultrasound at 13+3 and all looked great, so since then we have started sharing. Tbh it has felt really good and hopeful rather than scary.

@CaliGirl47 Your baby moon plans sounds lovely! Greece is so nice, and the food is divine. We also planned a holiday in Italy for mid-June. Am a bit worried because I will be entering the third trimester then but we couldn’t make it work otherwise with our work schedules. I will just take it easy I guess although sitting on a beach reading a book will be tough with our toddler 😆.

Happy Sunday to everyone, too!

log51 · 27/03/2023 10:56

Belated congrats @kl1999 you have the same due date as me!!

@Bizzybee900 welcome! Im just over 14 weeks now and told my 2 best friends really early on as I felt so terrible physically and needed some support without moaning to DH all the time (and they both happen to be pregnant and further along too). Told my mum at 10 weeks after I'd had a second private scan and felt more confident - but there's no right time! I'm sure everyone will be really happy for you

Astar21 · 27/03/2023 12:20

@RMS0209 oh hopefully you can get one booked in for the same day? 😀 Mines at a local 'window to the womb' so hoping for a good experience!

@Bizzybee900 welcome ❤️ I felt anxious telling people at first, like it makes it all feel so real and there's pressure for it to succeed. But as others have said the support is lovely to have. I've told people as and when I see them, so all the family and some close friends know now ❤️

@CaliGirl47 I am so jealous of your babymoon!!

How is everyone doing?
I’ve had my Obstretics appointment today and the consultant was very disappointed no one bothered to give me antibiotics for a UTI which showed up 3 weeks ago and is still showing, so that would explain why I’ve been feeling rubbish the last few weeks! After a loooong wait at the hospital I now have my antibiotics!
He has referred me to a heart disease specialist but thinks they will discharge me back to midwife led care as I’ve not been on meds for a while now! So a little different to how I thought it would go, I had fully prepared myself to be told I’d need a c-section 🙈

Skw11 · 27/03/2023 19:55

Hi all, joining this if I may! 15w today and due Sept 18th. It's been a long three years of infertility leading up to this for us and a mmc in December 2021. The mmc was found at the 12 week scan and I'd had no sign of anything wrong before that, even saw a heartbeat at 8w scan with fertility consultant. So this time around (a year on! Took another year of meds to get bfp again!) the first trimester was just awful mentally for me. Still flying pretty high off our 12 week scan appointment where everything was spot on, best moment ever ♥ and can't believe it's actually happening this time, still fearing another loss with no prior symptoms I guess. Hoping sharing a bit and joining you all might help me! Xxx

Bizzybee900 · 27/03/2023 22:28

Thanks for you kind messages (: I'm really interested to read some of you are planning to do gender/reassurance scans in second trimester. I'v been really tempted to book one myself! 8 week between the 12 week & 20 week NHS scans seems like a long time, amazing how time seems to stand still when pregnant lol.

Blueskies4 · 28/03/2023 14:05

Hi ladies,

Unfortunately it’s not good news for me.. had my dating scan today and there’s no HB, looks like baby stopped growing just before 12 weeks.

Wishing you all the very best with your pregnancies and lovely September babies xx

Thanks for all of your support, this group really did help with those early weeks x

HopefulBee · 28/03/2023 14:58

@Blueskies4 Oh no, I’m absolutely devastated for you. I’m so sorry you have to go through this again. What a shock to have to hear that at your dating scan. 😢 I wish you all the best for your recovery and hope you have a lot of support from family and friends. Take good care of yourself. ❤️💐.
