August Due Date Crew (Thread 4)

Here’s a new thread for the upcoming new year.

I think we’ve got all due dates covered now but newbies are still of course most welcome. We’re a friendly, chatty bunch so do feel free to join in.

@Sjw30 usually about controversial things and aibu posts but it still makes me nervous haha!

@sally16 I hadn’t given it much thought if I’m honest but I am careful about revealing anything too identifying on public boards in general. It’s one reason I prefer here to FB as it’s relatively anonymous (although of course there are downsides to that too). I’ve often read things people have posted under their full names in open FB groups and hoped they haven’t gone on to regret them. Complaints about in-laws in particular spring to mind!

@DesertSnow I had to have it twice last pregnancy as dad and his side of family has diabetes, and then baby was huuuuge so they repeated. It’s not fun, take a book 🤣

@AnnieApple123 I'm quite careful in regards to work and tend to edit a few times before posting but I wouldn't dream of commenting on something that would get me in trouble 😅
Just get wary haha!

@PumpkinEverything @somuchtolearnabout Didnt think of that! If I didn’t actually know I was pregnant just now I’d maybe not notice any symptoms but it sounds like she was months in, surely by then she had an idea 🙈

@somuchtolearnabout thats so annoying about your blood test! I very nearly got it but decided not to in the end. I think I would secretly like a girl, purely because I’ve experienced a boy so would be nice to have both. The clinical one does seem to be quite accurate but I thought what if it says girl and I get all excited then the scan says boy 🙈 so decided just to wait on the off chance I was one of the unlucky ones that were wrong! Would be delighted with either by 16 weeks

Scan went well 😊 possibly measuring two or three days earlier than 6w5 days but she said that will most likely change again. It had a heartbeat and only needed the normal ultrasound! 🥳so relieved! Now just to get through tonight pretending I’m drinking and acting like I haven’t just got great news 😂

Being around so many big groups of drunk people over the holiday season is really irritating me lately 😂 I'm so used to being one of them... now I'm mainly annoyed by the volume of their voices!!!! Did I used to be that loud?😂 probably...

Luckily tonight I'm with my husband, sister (who is doing 9 months sober with me!) and a few friends who don't actually drink. Board games and snacks it is. What is everyone else up to?

DS is napping on me for the first time in foreverrer!!! I can't wait to do this all again, it's my favourite thing in the world is being nap trapped

@BCxx I probably could have got to about 16 weeks in my last pregnancy without realising if it hasn’t been for the lack of periods. Definitely not this one though. So glad your scan went well. Great to have seen a heartbeat.

@AnnieApple123 Thanks! I actually like being pregnant and bypassing the periods thing further on when you don’t have the nausea etc to deal with! I’m slightly wondering this time if I could leave it until after 16 weeks to tell people. I feel like I’d rather know the gender and know all the facts before you tell people and get all the predictions of what it is etc.. just can’t be bothered this time 🙈

All okay! Managed to find an open scan place, and despite two crashes on the M40 we eventually got there. Little one measuring 6w+6, so bang on. Got to see a heartbeat fluttering away, so all really reassuring. Thanks for all the support, and really glad your scan was okay too @BCxx.

Hi everyone! How is everyone feeling this evening? I've sent my boyfriend off to our friends NYE party on his own as I just feel so off! My boobs feel like bags of sand, I feel nauseous, my stomach feels just gross and so painfully bloated, and full of cold, and just unable to socialise.

Please tell me I'm not the only one, I feel awful for bailing on it and am making myself feel so guilty :( please someone make me feel better!

@Bec3421 dont worry you're not alone! I'll be asleep well before midnight. I was exhausted yesterday and slept from 8pm til 7am, weird thing was the tiredness came on suddenly after 7pm and I couldn't cope with doing anything. Despite that amazing sleep I've been quiet today too 😂 we're growing little humans, we're allowed a break!

@Bec3421 also a quiet night for me! Might just watch a movie, so basically it's the sofa with some pizza and sholer tonight 😂 very different to my usual NYE's but I'm quite liking the peacefulness of it all. Our bodies need to relax so don't feel guilty ☺️

Happy new year to come 🥰 we've had a lazy evening.. just had to drive to my mums in my pjs because she left her phone when she come down with the dogs 🤣 she's a technophobe so didn't even answer her bloody watch.. the watch I got her for situations like this haha

Happy new year all 🎉 Guests just away, I managed to drink my non-alcoholic wine all night and no one suspected a thing. Babies/pregnancy came up in conversation so many times and I managed to act like I 100% was not pregnant each time 😂 Now I’m lying low til the 12 week scan.. no one else is allowed to ask me to do anything 🙈

Happy New Year! Just thought I'd join the thread as I'm due in the 5th August. I'm currently 9+1 and been throwing up non-stop since 6 weeks 🙈. Although, I did panic yesterday because I felt ok and wasn't sick... thankfully (?!) it is back this morning. Ah, pregnancy is hard after early miscarriages!

@Hopingforrainbows welcome due date twin! ❤️I’ve also been really sicky this pregnancy, although not always being sick but feeling sick all day - it’s miserable!!
I can’t imagine what it’s like it go through pregnancy after miscarriage, but i know alot of the other women here can xxx
