Here’s a new thread for the upcoming new year.

I think we’ve got all due dates covered now but newbies are still of course most welcome. We’re a friendly, chatty bunch so do feel free to join in.

So sorry to hear this @blondebanana
i was also at the hospital last night they think iv had a threatened miscarriage, the pain was so bad and then had some bleeding, going back for a scan today. Look after yourself ❤️

@blondebanana I am so sorry for you. I was in A and E just before Christmas with suspected ectopic, so I know how scary that part is,
Wishing you all the best and I will keep everything crossed for you.

@CMG92 are you feeling any better now. Sorry you had a scary time too.

@MinnieFirstTimeMum the pain has subsided to what it was but still quite painful. Just praying for my scan later that all is ok but also preparing for the worst. Will update later 🙏🥰

Did you have any suspicions? How are you feeling? Fwiw, I'd feel very all over the place about it too! I always said first time round I'd be okay with twins, and we'd have our 2 kids and be done. But second time round....if its twins, I won't be so amused 🤣
Are you feeling a little more excited about it? It's definitely nerve wracking, but also pretty incredible when you think about it 💛

Has anyone had a big wait from the maternity dept in terms of being contacted after referral? I'm about 8.5 weeks and I referred about 12 days ago.

I've heard absolutely nothing from the hospital, GP says they don't deal with pregnancies any more. No booking appointment or scan details yet. Not even any contact. I'm assuming they're insanely busy but also I'm a tad concerned that absolutely anything could be going on and I have no idea how baby is doing 🙄

@LMM91x hi, yes no 6. I'm torn between feeling batshit crazy and super excited. The nausea and vomiting has me down most mornings, afternoons and evenings and the fatigue and tiredness is starting to push through as well.
I have my 1st MW appt on Wednesday so fingers xd all is well. Xx

@BoodifulGoose You're very welcome, I've been dealing with a racing heart for years so I'm a bit more aware of what's happening and why.

It could also be an overactive nervous system being balanced more in fight or flight mode rather than rest or digest. So it may be your body instantly going into fight mode upon waking ready to deal with any 'threats'. Of course we know there is no danger, but your body is creating a new life and may be being extra cautious!

@Createcomet i heard nothing with my daughter until I was about 11 weeks 🙈 and then had my appointment for 12+2 for scan, bloods etc

@OBeatrix my god I can’t even imagine 🤣🤣. Oh no sorry about the nausea - as you are a certified pregnancy pro😎 did you find all your pregnancies have been different or similar?! Its good you have a MW appt in ….. I went to the hosp yday to get my 10 werk bloods as MW rang the day before and was like yeah we are still dealing with loads of booking in and yours hasnt been sorted yet… so the wait continues! The blood lady said there was 150 mummas waiting for booking in appointments!!! So many august babies pending!

@Createcomet it just seems mad, I’ve now had my booking appointment over the phone but it was weeks after I’d contacted them. Mine is the same with just telling the hospital direct now. I’ve got the blood test to go in for at nearly 11 weeks, I’m sure last time I had this at like 7 weeks. Unless you book your own private scan it just seems insane that you could rock up to the 12 week scan and you’re not even pregnant. The only explanation I can think of is that so many people have losses so they save time by doing it this way but it seems such a long wait with nothing
