@LMM91x gosh I know right!! The anxiety about it all will probably make it worse but I'm so worried too. My commute is 40 mins and then tube for 10 mins. What about you? The train in the morning is absolutely rammed so might have to just take a paper bag. The toilets at work are a good minute walk from my desk so worried about that too...

LMM91x · 02/01/2023 18:06

Oh dearrr! @blondebanana mine’s a 27 min one train into town and I got recommended sandwhich bags to have ready at all times 🤣 my problem is the wretching i cant just start dry heaving ffs … i’m gonna have a ginger biscuit before I leave too , mum swore by them when she was pregnant woth me and my sisters and they do seem to take the edge off when i’ve been home but who knows re the train….
I have to go across the whole office to the loo…. i am next to the kitchen too so the smells are bad enough when not pregnant !! Cmon rail workers take the whole month striking if you want!

blondebanana · 02/01/2023 18:41

@LMM91x oh gosh.... sandwich bags is a great idea actually. Hahahah I'm the same with the heaving - I haven't actually vomited yet but I'm dry heaving all the time. Oh noooo not next to the kitchen!!! That is bad luck... is there a bin you can keep next to your desk?😂 ginger biscuits don't really seem to help me but strong mints do!! Highly recommend. I 10000% support month long rail strikes at this point....

LMM91x · 02/01/2023 18:56

@blondebanana I KNOW !!! i don’t wanna smell your leftover dinner being reheated 🤢. I do have a bin with holes in it….. it’s really just not wanting to have to tell them yet but may be forced too. Though could pull a ‘im hungover’ once or twice but christ will start sounding like an alcoholic boozing on a Monday night enough to be sick on the tues 🤣

Is anyone else getting round ligament pain already? I began to get it at about 2 weeks after conception which led me to do a test (amongst other symptoms) but I'm surprised I'm getting it this early even in a second pregnancy.

Hoping it means that the foetus is growing in there, if nothing else. But I sneezed earlier and then got round ligament pain without even moving.

Yes I'm getting it too from coughs and sneezing, Have to be careful turning round in bed as well I just feel delicate if you know what I mean, I think I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment. I have a private scan booked for the 7th January

LBF2020 · 02/01/2023 20:29

@Createcomet what is the pain like for you?
this is my first pregnancy but I think I've been having round ligament pain. The pain is low down and is quite sharp, but doesn't last long. It only seems to happen in bed so far. I have also wondered if it might be trapped wind as when I sit up I am needing to burp/fart 🤣
I have my booking appointment on Wednesday so I was going to mention it then.

It's funny isn't it how early it comes on. I definitely have a sort of delicate feeling too. Last time I didn't feel physically in my tummy like I was pregnant. This time, I can def feel something there. I think I'm nearly 8 weeks.

UsernameNotPresent · 02/01/2023 20:47

@blondebanana @LMM91x don't worry about rammed train, once you start vomiting into a sandwich bag I can guarantee there will be a space cleared pretty quickly 🙈🙈 I would suggest getting one of those 'Baby on board' badges.
Thankfully I only need to commute by train to a different city once a week, but it's a few hours journey one way.. hopefully should be fine, as I usually manage to get a choice of seat thanks, red eye first train out.

UsernameNotPresent · 02/01/2023 20:51

I am actually feeling much better with nausea last few days. If it wasn't for some serious bloat (and I mean my belly button is starting to pop out again!!) I wouldn't know I was pregnant. Trying not to overthink. I am just getting over a stinker of a cold which dampened my sense of smell, so maybe that's what's helping the nausea.

ChloeN · 02/01/2023 21:02

@Createcomet @LBF2020 i was going to ask what the pain felt like too, I get it around my hips and near my pelvis (I think that’s what it is, my vagina bones🤣) it feels like what I would assume round ligament pain would feel like but really I have no idea

Createcomet · 02/01/2023 21:11

Mine is generally sort of around the sides of where a baby bump would be, but lowish down towards my pelvis. Its a very Sharp sudden pain that comes on when I move in a sudden direction. I was wondering from about 3dpo if I was pregnant, but then I got that pain at like 12dpo and was fairly sure I knew what it was.
I wouldn't mind, but it's caught me out a couple of times when standing up and I've done a sharp intake of breath and my husband has panicked 🤣 I have to keep reminding him its harmless

LBF2020 · 02/01/2023 21:29

@Createcomet yes that sounds exactly like what I am experiencing. I was a little worried as it's only on the right side. However I have had some previous pelvic surgeries for endo so I figured it could be scarring on the ligament 🤷‍♀️
@ChloeN every day is a guessing game of symptoms isn't it? I know I shouldn't but I regularly wake up in the night and ask dr Google weird questions 🤣

PumpkinEverything · 02/01/2023 22:07

@Createcomet exactly the same story here. I got that pain one day before my positive test and it was one of my first suspicions. Have had it a few times since and find I get it if I walk too fast, and annoyingly it sometimes doesn’t go away instantly. One time it bothered me off and on all day. The first time it happened I tried to go for a walk to see if it helped and I was gripping onto the pram so tight it was hurting my shoulders because I was so tense 😅 have also had way more of like stretching feeling under my tummy, but like across the way too. And I def didn’t have this as early last time. I’ve notes on my phone from week 7 of my pregnancy with my daughter which I’m so thankful for so I can refer back 😂 I’m doing the same again this time

Mulner88 · 02/01/2023 22:25

@Createcomet yes I've had this too! I remember distinctly getting a bad one the day after I found out I was pregnant around 12DPO. It was a sharp sudden pain in my left side when I stood up and get them here and there sometimes with sudden movements.
@PumpkinEverything that's a good idea, keeping track of symptoms as I'd say it's easy to forget!!

I'm really struggling at the moment with nausea in the evening and fatigue is now on another level. I'm finding it hard to function during the day and I'm back to work tomorrow! I will need to speak to my boss to let her know how I'm feeling as my job involves manual handling etc.

I actually went for another scan this pm as I'm such a worrier 😂 had my NHS early scan at 6+4 . luckily this scan also went well, heartbeat still present and could see the little one moving it's arms and legs which are almost nearly formed. It was so surreal to see. They dated me 9+6 so I will be 10 weeks tomorrow which is mad!! I still haven't got an appointment for my 12 week scan yet so this was some reassurance in the meantime.

PumpkinEverything · 02/01/2023 23:10

@Mulner88 its been so handy to refer back to. All my symptoms throughout the whole 40 weeks, plus details of how scans and appointments went, how I was feeling mentally, and also any cravings I was having too 😂 and I also wrote a good bit down as well for the days/weeks leading up to labour and the day I was in it. I’ve actually sent details of those few weeks to my friends before they had their first babies too and they found it really helpful!

my exhaustion is so intermittent. I really hit a wall around 10pm, which I’m sure is late for some people 😂 but I’m not used to it. I’ll be completely fine and then I’m nearly asleep watching tv and really can’t get up. Also sometimes when I’m with people I get so drained of energy I feel like I can’t even talk anymore and I’m just shutting down. I’m having such back to work fear because I’ve only been doing 3 days a week (2 at home, 1 in the office) November and December, and after this week (where I’m only doing two days and it’ll be wfh) I’ll be up to 4 days until end of March (increasing to 5 then). I’ll have to go into the office 2 of them and 2 at home (I hope anyway; we’re supposed to be in 3 a week and I hope I’m not made to since technically I’m off a day a week so why should I!). I’m really not mentally feeling ready for it either and I’m so anxious about my daughter starting her childcare this week 😩

PumpkinEverything · 02/01/2023 23:11

That’s so nice you had another scan too @Mulner88 and I think it’s a lovely way to get you through to the 12 week one 🥰 I’d love another one 😂🙈

ChloeN · 03/01/2023 08:35

Anyone else dreading work and feel so tired or just me🙋🏻‍♀️ I got up at 10 everyday last week so it’s a bit of a shock to the system 🤣 I’m just lazy tho lol

LMM91x · 03/01/2023 08:36

@ChloeN right now i would quit if I could 😭🤣 this is tortureeeeee

blondebanana · 03/01/2023 08:45

@LMM91x hahah this made me laugh 😂 not sure it would be a good look - heavy drinking every night of the week😂 it's a nightmare isn't it!

@UsernameNotPresent 😂😂😂 very true. Good idea re. one of those badges though - will make me look like less of a hungover alcoholic. Good luck with the long journey - glad it's only once a week. Would defo position myself next to the toilet!

sally16 · 03/01/2023 10:12

My mums just booked me a scan for next Sunday.. so she can come 😂
Looks like it's gonna be another family affair at the 10 week scan 🥴

Gymgal88 · 03/01/2023 10:21

Hi all, I've really enjoyed reading all your threads.
So I'm currently 7.5weeks preg approx.

I am due around 18th August if my dates are correct.

I suffered a MMC in September at 12weeks and it was devastating. Had one period since which only lasted 2days, back in November

Only found out I was pregnant 27th Dec.
I have absolutely NO symtoms apart from weeing during the night and vivid dreams.
Last time I was pregnant I felt horrendous. Nauseous, food aversions, exhausted, moody, bloated.
This time round I don't even feel pregnant.
Like many I search the Internet for reassurance but just wondered how everyone else feels currently that are in the same boat.
I shouldn't compare to last pregnancy but I do.
I already have a daughter but she is 12years old so barely remember back then, just comparing to my MMC

I'm waiting for midwife to call this week and I can speak with them. Apprehensive of booking early scan as I did last time at 8.5weeks and saw healthy heartbeat only to lose it shortly after so too scared to put myself through it again.

Sorry to ramble just so hard when you have to keep it a secret.

Mulner88 · 03/01/2023 10:29

@PumpkinEverything wow so informative! I don't even know where to start but I might start tracking now as it's fresh in my head. I'll have to think back to weeks 6-7 and how I was feeling back then. I spoke to my boss this morning and she was understanding thank god and for the time being, she is happy for me to do desk based work from home. I'm on annual leave next week anyway and the following week I'll be 12 weeks so fingers crossed I'll feel better then anyway to resume as normal. I hope your daughter gets on okay at childcare. Is it her first time going?

I still haven't received details of my 12 week scan and I'm now on my 10th week. I checked and there is no number to contact from when I filled out the booking form, just an email address...maybe I'll email that address to chase up as don't know who to chase 😅

Best of luck to everybody today returning to work, it's not easy but it's only temporary ☺️

Havanalily1806 · 03/01/2023 10:57

Hi everyone

Has anyone got any ideas for "breakfast type" foods to keep the nausea at bay.. struggling today with the earlier get up for work.

I had been coping with crackers/dairylea dunkers etc but it's far too early to consider eating anything like that 🤢

Toast is the only thing I've managed, but also still have my "lose weight for the wedding head on" really struggling with the idea of eating so much bread, (not that I'm now trying to lose weight, as it's almost impossible now 😅) but knowing the calories etc plus a lot of bread has never agreed with me

I've never really been a great eater first thing, never could stomach breakfast so this is just extra difficult 🙈

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 03/01/2023 11:00

Did anybody else experience light spotting at week 7 and if so how long did it last?
