After a long time ttc and having surgeries to repair my insides I've been given the go ahead to continue ttc again.

Trying desperately not to get my hopes up and to be realistic (whilst still making threads like this! 🤦🏾‍♀️) I don't want to symptom spot but finding it hard not to!

What were your earliest/first signs of pregnancy?

My personal first 3 with both of my dc were. 1-completely going off tea and coffee, just the smell of it was enough to turn my stomach. 2-really sore breasts. 3-odd metallic taste in my mouth.

Good luck op

Heightened sense of smell 🤢
I was on holiday with my dsis and nephews.
They had to put their shoes out on the balcony, I had no idea I was pregnant at that time.

SeasonsGreeeeetings · 28/12/2022 20:54

Breast tenderness like never before...and a ridiculous level of extreme hunger

judelaw · 28/12/2022 21:06

Interesting!
Thanks for your replies!

Unfortunately I have none of those 🤦🏾‍♀️
I'm currently absolutely exhausted - I'm someone who rarely feels tired like this too so that's odd! That and very sore gums/teeth!

I'm most likely reading far too much into mine unfortunately.

Mine were my "super nose" that seemed like I could smell everything within a 10 mile radius and really painful boobs

Poundofflesh · 28/12/2022 21:13

Very similar to pms unfortunately so it can be hard to tell but things that are different - heightened smell/taste, metallic taste, darkened nipples, for me I get nausea quite early on as well but for most people that doesn’t come on until about 6ish weeks.

jamsandwich1 · 28/12/2022 21:16

With my first, such painful boobs even before my period was due. It hurt to even get dressed. Didn’t get that at all with my second but not sure if it’s because I was breastfeeding at the time. Both times went completely off tea and coffee, couldn’t even consider it and it’s usually all I drink.

judelaw · 28/12/2022 21:17

Seems heightened sense of smell is the most common so far!

I've had quite a few cramps too actually.

Argh, it's so frustrating. Trying so hard not to get my hopes up 🙁

Funnily enough I feel like I had more symptoms the months I got BFN …!! When I got BFP it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary i’d say but I did test early at 11DPO so maybe would have noticed something more if i’d missed period etc!!!

GhostCastle · 28/12/2022 21:19

Dizzy spells. It felt like I was walking on a ship at times. I thought I had an ear infection.

vipersnest1 · 28/12/2022 21:22

The most massive, multi-headed spots. (Totally unglamorous I know!)

Exhaustion was my first symptom! Like tiredness that I'd never felt before. I even had to pull over and have a nap in my car on the way home from work cause I was falling asleep at the wheel. Got home and laid on my bed, ended up napping for 2 hours. Woke up thinking hmm that's not right, realised I was 2 days late so took a test😅 I now have a 5 year old❤️

Best wishes to you! Xx

BettyOBarley · 28/12/2022 21:26

Mild period-like cramps
Painful breasts/nipples

I never got any change in smell/taste/cravings all the way through either of my pregnancies.

user58202018484482910ugog19293843910 · 28/12/2022 21:26

My boobs killed me and when I was in the shower my nipples were super sensitive

Workinghardeveryday · 28/12/2022 21:28

My very early symptoms first time (second time twins), were, no symptoms at all. Not until 6 weeks

ToddleToddleToddle · 28/12/2022 21:30

Intense bitchiness 😂

Baconand · 28/12/2022 21:31

Absolutely nothing until a missed period. In previous cycles I was convinced I had all these different symptoms and wasn’t pregnant. The one time I was pregnant I had absolutely no idea until my very regular period was late.
I didn’t have any symptoms at all until 6 weeks plus, which was bone crushing tiredness and weird sense of smell. My sickness was mild but started at 12 weeks rather than finished!

tweedledee12 · 28/12/2022 21:32

The first thing I knew with my first was a strange sense of dizziness.
When I had it the second time, I did a test and it was positive for my second baby ❤️

Keeping everything crossed for you OP

Fedupmum21 · 28/12/2022 21:33

Mine were nausea and cramping but also tingling nipples which were really sensitive to the cold

PearPickingPorky · 28/12/2022 21:38

Very tender breasts, from about 3 weeks.

Slightly fuller breasts from about 4 weeks.

Nausea from 5-6 weeks.

nettytree · 28/12/2022 21:43

I knew I was pregnant the second time when I couldn't brush my teeth without throwing up. Really struggled every time I brushed my teeth with the first pregnancy, it was worse with the second.

violetcuriosity · 28/12/2022 21:44

Very vivid dreams and a stabbing pain in my right ovary area before my period was due

ohfook · 28/12/2022 21:49

Really weird taste in my mouth and very windy.

judelaw · 28/12/2022 21:51

Thank you everyone - so interesting seeing the range of symptoms!

Sadly I do feel like I'm clutching at straws a bit. Buuuuuuut I am only about 7-9dpo......... am I being stupid?! 😂

A positive test. I always felt less pregnant when I was and had all kinds of symptoms when I wasn't. Until about 8 weeks when nausea hit me with a vengeance!

So bo dymptoms doesn't have to mean bad news.
