Hi all,
obvs still very early days. I’m currently 4+4 and just trying to enjoy it really. Just wondering if anyone wanted to join me to share early symptoms, how you’re managing to hide symptoms, how you’ll reveal your pregnancy to loved ones etc. and all the other bits and bobs on this journey 🄰

Congratulations @Firsttimemomma1 on your scan, glad it all went well for you!
I’ve been getting insatiable thirst so drinking lots of water and never usually have fizzy drinks but had a pretend Buck’s Fizz with orange juice and sprite, it quenched the thirst and also helped with the nausea! Worth a try 😊

Firsttimemomma1 · 30/12/2022 19:42

@elliew818 thank you :).

The nausea is killing me, I’ve gone three days struggling to eat because the smell of everything just makes me sick to my stomach (literally haha). My mum kept going on about ginger biscuits and I’ve seen it mentioned a few times on here so bought some today and I must say they’ve worked a treat. I’ve been able to stomach my first bit of food wahooo! Might be in my head but I’ll take what I can get at the moment.

I share the thirst with you too. Not a lover of fizzy drinks but got a craving for full fat coke at the moment. The bubbles don’t help the nausea so I pour it into a glass and let it go flat then slowly sip. I prefer your idea of the pretend Buck’s Fizz though - delicious!

How far are you lovely? Xxx

Mountainview8 · 30/12/2022 19:45

@Firsttimemomma1 that's brilliant to hear you're scan went well and you can hear the heart beat, so exciting! Think I'll go for a private scan around 8 weeks for reassurance.

NP2705 · 30/12/2022 20:28

Hi all,

I’m 5 weeks today and very nervous after two miscarriages earlier in the year.

I don’t have many symptoms yet but have uncomfortable lower back pain today. Has anyone else had this?

elleh2023 · 30/12/2022 21:09

Hi I'm 9sa on today had this yesterday so found out super early and now my anxiety is on high alert with every single cramp.

Congratulations to you all

That was meant to read 9dpoStar

Firsttimemomma1 · 31/12/2022 02:37

@Mountainview8 thank you, yes I don’t blame you, the usual wait until the 12 week scan is excruciating and no one can blame a momma to be for wanting to check everything is on track prior to that date. I’ll be doing the exact same.

@elleh2023 congratulations! Such a special moment!! You’re not alone with your anxieties but I have everything crossed things work out for you! I think it’s a blessing and a curse finding out so early.

x

Hi all,

I’m 5 weeks today and very nervous after two miscarriages earlier in the year.

I don’t have many symptoms yet but have uncomfortable lower back pain today. Has anyone else had this?

@NP2705 hello lovely, so sorry to hear about your losses! I’ve noticed a little back pain too (mild so far) ā™„ļø

Babydustmamma · 31/12/2022 07:22

Londongirl87 · 30/12/2022 15:37

Are you all going to wait until the 12 weeks NHS ultrasound, or going for a private one before, and if so, at how many weeks?

@Londongirl87 I’m 5+1 today and have booked a scan for 7 weeks :) ā™„ļø 12 weeks just feels like soooo long, especially after a loss!

CMG92 · 31/12/2022 08:04

@Morag202287 hi I’m 5+6 and yesterday I had really bad period like pains and some brown discharge, woke up today and no more discharge but still bad cramping, so hoping it’s just the uterus stretching which is what I have read online! Hope this helps and good luck 🄰

Morag202287 · 31/12/2022 08:45

@CMG92 , I think that's pretty normal around the stage you are at, my brown dc started the 24th and was on and off over the last 6 days. Some days nothing next day all day when going to the loo only. Had yhe cramping last week too on and off. Everything has subsided over the last couple days and it's the furthest I've got without it rapidly changing the last 4 times it was quickly changing so this experience now for me is positive. 6weeks tomorrow. Its hard to keep track of everyone's comments buy I haven't had any sickness atall or food issues.. but reaching 6 weeks I'm hoping I don't get sickness lol. Trying not to think far ahead as well as that's been torture for me in the past ... but trust this to happen in my first year of uni 🤣. Xx

Notmulan · 31/12/2022 08:51

Don’t you find it amazing that something as small as a sesame seed has a heartbeat!

Morag202287 · 31/12/2022 09:09

@Notmulan 100% haha. Its very strange. Hope I get to see a heartbeat on Thursday, its nerve wracking. Xx

chickpea1982 · 31/12/2022 12:40

Is it just me, or is time passing really slowly?! I am only 5+3 but I feel like it's been weeks since I found out!

NP2705 · 31/12/2022 13:07

@chickpea1982 yes! We have a scan booked for 8 weeks and it feels like a lifetime away still šŸ™ˆ

elleh2023 · 31/12/2022 13:11

Going so slow I'm going to book a scan for 7 weeks although testing again today as test was fainter yesterday so now convinced myself I am having a chemical again

Soopyjoopy · 31/12/2022 13:49

I cant believe I'm this lucky

CMG92 · 31/12/2022 13:51

@Morag202287 i really hope so think I spoke to soon as had quite a lot of discharge when I wipe but only a bit on my liner. Just wish the period pain would ease i can’t seem to get any relief standing or sitting! We are at a pretty similar stage if you are 6weeks tomorrow, I haven’t had any other symptoms atm, boobs were a bit sore before my period a few weeks ago but that’s it! Hoping the sickness stays away for us both šŸ™ xx

Notmulan · 31/12/2022 15:01

@chickpea1982 yes but I think it’s because it’s raining and we’re spending lots of time indoors and not busy. Think time will fly when back to school

Babydustmamma · 31/12/2022 15:56

@chickpea1982 soooo slowly! I’m 5+1 so really close in dates! ā™„ļø

@Notmulan that’s a really good point! The weather doesn’t help šŸ˜… bring on the sun please, at least a bit of vitamin D would help!

@Soopyjoopy thats brilliant! How do you find out your specific levels? Do you have a professional testing or kit at home?ā™„ļø

Soopyjoopy · 31/12/2022 16:47

@Babydustmamma
After a CP in Sept I've paid to have private bloods done. Its been quite reassuring actually. We waited 15 years to have kids, and I was so anxious with our 1st last year l, scans didnt really settle the anxiety. This has a little x

Babydustmamma · 31/12/2022 17:20

@Soopyjoopy brilliant idea! So glad you’ve got good results ā™„ļø

CB23CB · 01/01/2023 08:55

Morning everyone, HNY!
Newbie here, I'm 6+6 and due late August. Very anxious, first pregnancy and waited a long time for it. First midwife appointment in three weeks.
Looking forward to being on the journey together! x

Londongirl87 · 01/01/2023 10:03

Happy new year everyone! Am I the only one who felt emotional at midnight thinking about everything waiting for us in 2023?

Soopyjoopy · 01/01/2023 12:48

I have a horrid feeling something isnt right. Some discharge/cm with little bit of pink blood. Cant believe everything was so amazing just 2 days ago, HCG levels and 3+ test. Does anyone know can it go so wrong so quickly?
