Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

Hi everyone, I've just had some brown discharge and very light spotting. is this normal? I have no idea what the NHS guidance is for this. I'm 5W+2days and this is my first pregnancy. Any advice would be great.

tallgirl232 · 09/12/2022 16:36

Sorry I've missed so much since the new thread was created and just catching up.
I'm so sorry to everyone who has experienced a loss. You will all be in my prayers :(
And congratulations to everyone who has recently joined!

ChloeN · 09/12/2022 16:38

@tallgirl232 I would try and contact your local epu or if not your gp for some advice. They might test your hcg or offer an early scan to make sure everything’s okay xx

I think I may be over exaggerating after seeing images of online of what actual brown discharge and pregnancy spotting is. I just need to stop being so negative. 😭
To be honest, I find this thread so encouraging (those sharing their stories and despite their worries have been completely fine and gave birth to beautiful), but there's also been some who have unfortunately suffered miscarriages so sometimes it also causes me to worry about whether I will have one too due to my anxiety and feeling that this is too good to be true , which is why I've not been looking at this thread.
Just need to understand that there's nothing that can be done to control it and hope for the best for everyone who is pregnant and is trying.

I hope everyone who has their confirmation scans and appointments in the next few weeks that it all goes well, and praying for safe and healthy pregnancies to everyone who is pregnant, and anyone who unfortunately has had a loss that when the time is right for them again, that they will experience safe and healthy pregnancies in the near future 😘

Thanks. Unfortunately it's Friday at 4pm so all are closed now. I did contact EPU but I will have to wait until Monday for them to get back to me now. If I feel like something isnt right, I'll call 111 for advice. Took a pregnancy test yesterday and still got a strong positive.

I actually have a blood test/ screening appointment on Monday so could mention it then (praying it won't get worst).

DesertSnow · 09/12/2022 16:49

@mollibu really sorry to hear your news, sending hugs xxx

@tallgirl232 It sounds like quite a few experience some spotting around this time. Fingers crossed for you.

TheBirdintheCave · 09/12/2022 17:21

@tallgirl232 I hope it goes away for you x

Nic2908 · 09/12/2022 17:24

@mollibu i am so sorry for your loss. Please be kind to yourself. Thinking of you

ChloeN · 09/12/2022 17:33

@tallgirl232 oh that’s a shame think some epus are open over the weekend so hoped that might be the case for you. I’d definitely mention it at your next appointment although it does seem to be normal

mollibu · 09/12/2022 17:36

Thank you everyone so much for your kind words. They really are comforting, I needed them ❤️.

RosieDal · 09/12/2022 17:45

@mmollibu really sorry for your loss 😔 xxx

RosieDal · 09/12/2022 17:45

@tatallgirl232 it can definitely be completely normal at this stage. I had pink/brown discharge and even a little bleeding with both of my DC in early pregnancy, both very healthy pregnancies. It's still so worrying though, definitely call the epu or gp on Monday to help out your mind at rest. Hopefully they'll offer an early scan or test hgc levels

Isitfridayyet202 · 09/12/2022 18:47

Found out I’m pregnant with first child today, ovulated on 22nd November so very early days!

@mollibu so sorry to hear about your loss. Sending lots of love at this difficult time xx

AnnieApple123 · 09/12/2022 19:52

So glad we’ve been of comfort @mollibu . Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do.

Sorry you’re going through what you’re going through too @tallgirl232 . I was told yesterday that pink or brown discharge is not a concern - only fresh and red. Hopefully that brings you some reassurance. 111 sounds like a good option over the weekend if you need it.

I had some abdominal pain this afternoon which sent me into a panic. Then suddenly my stomach rumbled and it disappeared, so am assuming it was digestive.

Welcome @Isitfridayyet202
