Also the option to have two seats on the same frame attracted us (just incase!) as it was an investment and wouldn't want to have to buy another

TeddyBeans · 11/12/2022 20:51

Has anyone felt hiccups yet? It was one of my favourite feelings with DS but I've yet to feel DD do it

Dreamingof3 · 11/12/2022 20:57

@TeddyBeans no not yet, I love hiccups! Wondering if it'll be later this time as I'm feeling less of the more subtle movements with the anterior placenta

TeddyBeans · 11/12/2022 21:14

@Dreamingof3 oh didn't think of that 😂 I have an anterior too

ChristmasJumpers · 11/12/2022 21:42

What does it feel like when they hiccup? I'm pretty sure I haven't felt any but wouldn't know what I'm looking for!

Perexi · 11/12/2022 21:43

We bought ours today! Such a minefield, we liked the oyster 3 and the nuna mix. Couldn't get the colour of the oyster we liked so have opted for the nuna mixx

Sorry i didn't quote @oceanadventurer

Has anyone picked up the free bounty or Emma packs? I tried the Emma a couple of times but never had stock in my local boots

Eastybaby19 · 11/12/2022 22:30

@TeddyBeans I've been feeling hiccups. Love it 🥰.

Travel systems - I went for the Oyster 3 this time due to it being extremely light weight and easy to manoeuvre and fold / lift from floor to car boot etc. I had an Egg last time and it was the heaviest most awkward thing for me to get in and out of the boot! I'm just under 5ft so I wanted something really light and easily managed!

Deut28 · 11/12/2022 22:55

Hiccups since about 24 weeks here. It's my favourite thing about pregnancy.

@ChristmasJumpers it just feels like a series of small kicks but more rhythmical.

iratepirate · 12/12/2022 06:29

@allthingssparkly we went with Cubo AI monitor. It’s been great.

LittleAcorn20 · 12/12/2022 07:13

@ToffeeEl I've found Emma's diary ones in sainsburys.
@TeddyBeans not felt hiccups either. And my friend has had three kids and said her middle one she never felt any hiccups at all but her other two did it loads.
I want to feel hiccups too because I loooove it too 😍

PeonyPops · 12/12/2022 07:28

My baby has hiccups about 3x a day! I asked if it was normal 🤣

I’m going for GD test at the hospital today. Never had one in any of my previous pregnancies. I’m dreading it. Been up all night worrying 😭

Blocklynn · 12/12/2022 07:40

I want to feel hiccups has tantrum at not feeling hiccups 😂😂😂

Blocklynn · 12/12/2022 07:42

@ToffeeEl I have been looking but not seen any, my sister managed to get one pack, the newborn one I think.

havanamama · 12/12/2022 08:44

@PeonyPops it’s literally nothing to worry about, just 2 blood tests and a sugary drink. Bring a bottle of water, a book or an iPad as it’s a boring 2 h sitting around.

Thank you! Here now, bloody starving. Baby kicking away, she’s probably angry she’s not been fed yet too 🤣 it’s the drink I’m worried about I’m terrible with drinking anything I don’t like. I hate sugary drinks so it might take a while. Then I’m going to greggs 🤣🤣

Blondewave · 12/12/2022 10:51

Hi there anyone any experience with SPD? I’m currently bed bound & off work. The pain is excruciating when I walk like a burning acute stabbing sharp pain when I move my legs at all..even from sitting / laying. I’ve tried physio : chiropractor etc and been shrugged off & told it will go when baby is born. It keeps me up all night. I have another child and a dog & so fed up also got a house move so can’t even pack.

I never had this in my previous pregnancy however I had a traumatic birth - shoulder dystocia and rotational forceps as he was stuck in my pelvis. Afterwards my pelvis had split / widened more than it should due to the trauma. I couldn’t walk for a few weeks following birth however it rectified itself. Seems it’s come back with a vengeance & my body has not forgotten the trauma that was caused 🙃 can’t beleive I’ve got 12 weeks left. Don’t think I can cope with 12 weeks being in so much pain.

has anyone else had any similar experience? Feels like no one understands. It’s brushed off as pelvic pain due to pregnancy. However I’m immobile and the pain is so severe.

Perexi · 12/12/2022 11:07

I'm halfway through my gtt test.... drink just tasted like lucazade sport or similar! Was worried i missed the test as North London had so much snow last night a 25 minute journey took over 90 minutes so I was very late getting here.

ChristmasJumpers · 12/12/2022 11:32

@Perexi I'm so glad to hear this as my test is on Wednesday and people keep pulling a 'knowing' face at me about how horribly sweet and awful the drink is. I've been training for this my whole life, I live off sugar 🤣

TeddyBeans · 12/12/2022 11:38

@Blondewave I've not but it sounds awful! Can you stretch to private physio?

I’ve had private physiotherapy and spent 100s seeing chiropractor. Spoke to my GP today and couldn’t stop crying..she’s just advised to stay in bed & that my partner will have to help. He’s going skiing tho this week with his fiends so will be away for 5 days. I don’t know how I’ll cope in the house on my own with my son and dog, I can’t even get up and down stairs I have to go on my bum 🙃

I actually enjoyed the drink haha. One of the others complained oh this is very sweet and I was sat there thinking was it? I must have a sweet tooth lol

TeddyBeans · 12/12/2022 12:00

I didn't find the glucose drink particularly sweet either, just thick and weird...

Feeling a bit stupid today. I went to maternity triage for reduced movements yesterday and everything was fine. Baby even kicked the midwife a couple of times when they put the monitoring straps across my belly (talk about showing me up!)

They were lovely about it. Obv it's a really common thing to get checked out and the right thing that do but I still feel like I let my anxiety get the best of me yesterday. Looking back, I was walking a lot more than usual so he was probably lulled to sleep. Today I'm back to sitting at a desk and can feel every small kick.

I'll get over it in a couple of days but I still feel a bit silly
