@AK93 ooh what car seat?

@TeddyBeans its so difficult to know whats ok and whats not isn't it?

I have had the strangest symptom last few days, on and off pigeon like noises in my ear. I was convinced we had pigeons round us. Google suggests an unharmful symptom and potential side affect of aspirin.

AK93 · 30/11/2022 12:05

@Choc2022 my boyfriend wants one of the Joie i-spin 360 isofix ones! It's typically about £280 but I've seen it about £40 cheaper, the question is whether to buy it now or hope there are further sales and get it after Xmas/January sales if lucky enough! Don't need to be too much if a cheapskate though as it's not much to pay ourselves lol. That is if we take his Mum up in allowing her to pay the whole amount she wanted to (I personally thought it was a bit too much! It is her first grandchild though and as she will typically be living abroad I guess one of her ways of doing something nice to help)

Reading about pigeon noises made me laugh I'm sorry but I do hope it's not something too annoying and it goes at some point! I had what sounded like the beach in one of my ears when I had covid and it was when I went to the toilet it was so weird but it went as soon as I was better!

TeddyBeans · 30/11/2022 12:11

@AK93 get the pram you love, it's definitely worth doing. I got a silvercross last time. It wasn't the most practical pram but I absolutely loved every bit of it! I got a Joie 360 at about 4 months for DS. We got ours from boots, with the parent club bonus points we got a tonne of freebies off the amount of points it gave us!

@Choc2022 that is a very random symptom, thankfully I've not experienced it myself cuz freaky but must be pretty common if Google knows about it!

@AK93 I'm thinking of the i-360 too. I know it's pricey but it does last for several years of baby growing, so I've justified it by it's an investment 😂 (also older car and more limited choices it feels like).

Where did you see it cheaper, out of interest?

firstlittleone · 30/11/2022 13:38

Has anyone experienced anything with skin rashes/raised bumps over stomach area? It’s not itchy at all I’ve just noticed it the last couple of days

Dreamingof3 · 30/11/2022 13:49

Just been to midwife appt, took them absolutely ages to find the heartbeat, would've normally sent me into a huge panic but I could feel her moving 😂 completely awkward as per usual and is transverse which probably explains why my section scar has been so uncomfortable lately!

TeddyBeans · 30/11/2022 15:15

@Dreamingof3 what a pickle! My midwife had to pin DD down to get her to stay still for the heartbeat check at my last appointment - DD did not like that and made it very clear by booting the doppler several times 🤦‍♀️

@firstlittleone not so far but I did have lovely spots all over my belly last time round

@Katdemar Smyths Toys - Not loads cheaper but better than it could be!! We previously looked at it in Halfords as we thought it could be good for the fitting of it as they apparently get you to do it so they can advise if you need help. You can get it somewhere between the two costs at Halfords if you are part of their motoring club (or something like that)

We checked on the Joie website that it should fit in our car with the isofix etc although it is quite a chunk so hoping it won’t take up too much space.

@Teddybeans I think I’m fairly set on it just to make my mind up on which colour and get my partners approval 😆
I still need to get a new phone that can hold all the apps (and baby pics when he comes 😂 )I need as I joined the parenting club but not so useful not having the app which is annoying!

Dreamingof3 · 30/11/2022 19:51

@TeddyBeans yes once they actually figured out where she was the midwife had to push her bum to keep her still 😂

Blocklynn · 30/11/2022 20:29

I keep getting sciatic nerve pain in my right bum/leg. Never had that before I was pregnant and seems to be getting worse.
Is there anything I can do to help it or am I just stuck with it for now? I only get it when walking but as I can do quite a lot of walking I’d rather it went away!!

My bump seems to have grown quickly recently, definitely no hiding it now!
Anyone else fancy sharing a picture?

Katlouise24 · 30/11/2022 20:43

Those looking at the Joie i360, have a look at Graco turn to me. We were told that Graco and Joie are owned by the same person.

I’ve had the I-Spin for my DD (she’ll be 3 in January) and the spin function makes strapping wriggly limbs in so much easier. I’d really recommend it.

Choc2022 · 01/12/2022 03:26

Great to put a bump to the names!!

Blocklynn · 01/12/2022 07:28

Yay bump pictures 🥰

Dreamingof3 · 01/12/2022 09:21

Lovely bumps ❤️ mine just looks like I might have eaten a big dinner 😂 the fallout of starting off bigger!

DD is starting to respond to pokes now. She still has a habit of stopping kicking as soon as DP touches my belly but I managed to trick her this morning by putting his hand where she was kicking and giving her a good poke. She kicked back 2-3 times 🥰 before getting savvy and quitting out on me. Hopefully she behaves for her rescan later... Wish me luck ladies!

Hope it goes well @TeddyBeans ...these awkward little girlies 😂

havanamama · 01/12/2022 12:13

I’m in month 7 now! Can’t believe it !

We also now have everything ready for baby apart from the monitor and sleeping bags.

feels good to be ready! Now we can read books and do courses and enjoy time as a couple 🥰

Dreamingof3 · 01/12/2022 13:10

@havanamama how exciting! I feel like I was super organised really early and then I kind of lost steam 😂 I need to work out what we still need to get, but holding off clothes wise until we've had at least one of our growth scans

Franklin321 · 01/12/2022 13:16

2nd child issues but nothing really ready yet 😅 with my son it was all ready and in place by 30 weeks but everything is still bagged and in the attic this time round 🤣

I did buy the Snuzpod which is sat in the spare room and have plans to get the converters for the pram to make it a double…

Hopefully I’ll find the energy after Christmas to get things organised a bit better!
