It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@Daisy1992 weeks indicator is 24 hours!!

Shannon88 · 03/12/2022 11:04

@PumpkinEverything yes it’s really been a rollercoaster to being told it was chemical to possibly ectopic to now maybe a pregnancy. It’s still up in air but since my levels are doubling I have a scan on the 12th to see what’s going on .

Rowanandremy · 03/12/2022 11:06

Sorry to hear that @sinloutox hope you don't have a long wait for your scan and that it's the best possible outcome.

Welcome and congratulations! @katiehx

@Shannon88 welcome and congrats!

@PumpkinEverything the memory box is something we always wanted to do, I didn't realise how difficult it is to let go of some things - I keep saying we can keep it for the memory box... Which if we did would be the size of a small shed 🤣

@AnnieApple123 my cramping has eased off massively too, it made me quite anxious to be honest but the other night it was so bad I was convinced something was wrong - even though I had the same thing with DD. I think I'm probably going to worry over every change until I have the early scan and then if that goes well I'll worry until the 12 week one

@Daisy1992 We used the CB weeks and it only lasted 24 hours

Daisy1992 · 03/12/2022 11:15

Thank you ladies! It's not the weeks one so hopefully it will be there later 😁 excited to tell him! I don't know how I have kept it to myself since last Sunday! I just really wanted to be past the day AF was due and do another couple of tests so I believe it myself first 😁

AnnieApple123 · 03/12/2022 12:10

@Rowanandremy That’s reassuring to know that your symptoms are following a similar pattern. I too had such strong cramping one day last week that I was convinced something was wrong.

My first pregnancy was also like this with quite a lot of symptoms around implantation and the time of the positive test, yet not much after that. In fact I have a symptoms diary and it stops at 6 weeks as there wasn’t enough to report on a day to day basis by then.

Good morning ladies hope you're all doing well!

Woken up today and feels like someone is putting pins in one of my nipples 💀 trying to clean the house and have to keep stopping and attempt to rub it better! Is this from sensitivity do you think? Had nothing at all until this now!

Rowanandremy · 03/12/2022 12:29

@AnnieApple123 I never thought I'd be so glad to be following my first pregnancy symptoms 😂 I was essentially bedridden for 13 weeks, if it wasn't the nausea making me run to the toilet, it was my heightened sense of smell that turned me off nearly all of my favourite foods/smells.

This time around I have the nausea worse but I'm managing it with anti sickness bands and the other symptoms are all manageable, probably because I expected them so implemented some things early just in case treatment worked 😂

@heand2022 it sounds like it could be! I've got overall boob sensitivity and it definitely feels like they are being used as pin cushions 🤣

sinloutox · 03/12/2022 14:35

Thanks all! I’m kind of prepared for either outcome now - stepping away from the tests because I’m just making myself mental 😂 I can’t control what’s going on in there so just need to watch and wait and have a bit of patience!
Hopefully I’ll be back in a week with some good news! @Shannon88 has given me a bit of hope 🤞🏼Will keep an eye on the thread and hope you all keep going from strength to strength ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 03/12/2022 17:09

Completed my testing this morning with my 3+ on the digi. It feels very strange that I will (hopefully!) never take a pregnancy test again.

AnnieApple123 · 03/12/2022 17:13

I’ve just had something similar today @heand2022 .

You sound very calm and philosophical @sinloutox . Hats off to you. I really

@TheBirdintheCave yippee what fab news☺️

CityKity · 03/12/2022 17:31

So many messages to catch up on! I told DH 2 days ago who was over the moon delighted and very proud of his ‘performance’ 😅. We can’t really stop talking about it, as I feel like suddenly our lives have just been turned upside down and we need to think about a million and one things: jobs, houses, schools etc. We’re probably over reacting from the shock of it all.
Boobs still on fire and feel bloated and chubby already but I think I’m projecting, rather than there being any physical changes. Being honest, I’m pretty scared of the weight gain and physical toll on my body - but I hope it’s okay in the end.

@somuchtolearnabout I noticed upthread you gave birth to your first at KCH - that’s likely where I’ll register too, how was it from your POV? I’ve heard mixed reports.

elarcoiris · 03/12/2022 18:07

Hi - can I join you? Had a v faint BFP last Friday at 10 dpo but was bleeding on and off so thought I was out. Bleeding has now stopped and had a much stronger BFP so looks like this baby might be sticking around after all (along with some pretty intense heartburn!).

Have had first trimester bleeding in all past pregnancies (two miscarriages and one successful) so not really sure what to think, but for now I’m pregnant and keen not to tell too many people IRL so would be nice to have some people to chat to about it!

Currently 6 weeks based on LMP but think probably more like 5 based on suspected ovulation via NC, which puts my due date around 7/8 August.

TheBirdintheCave · 03/12/2022 18:22

Welcome @elarcoiris and congrats! Fingers crossed for a sticky one for you 😬

sinloutox · 03/12/2022 19:58

@AnnieApple123 its taken me a couple of days to get here for sure! If it’s not going to stick I kind of just want it done now so we can get on with trying again! And I figured extra stress and anxiety isn’t good if it is going to stick so might as well count down the next week and take it from there!

PumpkinEverything · 03/12/2022 20:13

@CityKity im a bit worried about this too and trying to tell myself not to. I gained almost 4 stone last time 🙈 but I lost a stone and a half within 2 weeks without doing anything, and then after about 2 months of cutting myself some slack (also Christmas) I started calorie counting. I’ve done that off and on all year and I’m 3lbs away from pre pregnancy. I think I could have lost it if I tried harder, but in all honesty, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the trips out for lunch and coffee with friends over my maternity leave so I’m okay with it!

I think I’m worried this time because I’m scared it’ll be harder to lose this time?! Like maybe I won’t be able to get out walking every day when I have 2, or I’ll just be more stressed. I’m going to try and make an effort to watch my weight this time to try and not put on that amount to begin with.
also scared for my hair 🙈 it’s not fully recovered from falling out last time 😬

sally16 · 03/12/2022 21:39

Hi! I got my BFP today and due 14th August 😍 hope this thread goes as well as my pregnancy's did :) xx

CityKity · 03/12/2022 22:17

@PumpkinEverything Im glad it’s not just me worrying about silly things like weight. I’m very reassured by how quickly you lost weight immediately after giving birth!
If everything goes well this is my first time, and I’m pretty fit, gym/run regularly so am anxious about changing that routine and being too tired post baby to get back into the swing of things.
I think the combination of bloating and swollen boobs make me feel like a whale already so god knows how I’ll feel down the line.
I bet with 2 you’ll have your hands even more full so hopefully that will keep you on your toes and active!
Gosh hair loss really doesn’t sound fun either! Someone please tell me there are some/any perks to pregnancy (aside from the baby at the other end!)

TheBirdintheCave · 03/12/2022 22:53

@CityKity I didn't lose any hair so it doesn't always happen :)

PumpkinEverything · 04/12/2022 00:36

It’s good to keep active during pregnancy at least if you already are @CityKity 😊 I think there’s a lot of exhaustion during the first trimester, but then you get a good bit back (normally) for the second.
if it helps, one of my friends signed up to a baby fitness programme at around 2 months post partum that was on two mornings a week and you can bring your baby along (or leave them at home if you’ve someone to leave them with). Maybe something good to check if it’s any your area too?

my skin was lovely during pregnancy after the first trimester! So a definite perk there 😂 and also my hair was great too whilst actually pregnant. It didn’t start falling out until around 3 months PP. I just have very fine hair to begin with so I didn’t need that one 😂😅 the bloated feeling will pass as well, it’s just a first trimester symptom. It’ll turn eventually to feeling more like you’re pregnant with a lovely bump!

buttercupbee · 04/12/2022 07:39

Hi ladies, hope it’s ok to join 😊 got my BFP this week, according to my LMP I’m 5+5 weeks and due 1 August, but I’m pretty sure I ovulated late so would actually be due after that. Will cross that bridge when we come to it though. I have my booking in appointment with the midwife on 20 December.

It’s my first baby and I’ve been feeling nervous something is going to go wrong. I’ve read through the whole thread and it’s reassuring to see other people have similar worries. In terms of symptoms I only really have sore boobs. I never thought I’d be wishing for nausea but I think it would make me feel like it’s actually real 🙈 I haven’t told anyone IRL other than my DH so I don’t think it’s sunk in properly yet!

marleyandme · 04/12/2022 08:08

Tentatively joining! Has anyone told parents or close friends yet? My DH is keen to tell his parents but that would make it feel real and I don't think I'm ready for that yet!

PumpkinEverything · 04/12/2022 08:12

@buttercupbee congrats! I think a lot of the time the nausea doesn’t come until after 6 weeks, so there’s still time 🙈😂

congrats @marleyandme I told my best friend and I’ve told my mum. I don’t want to tell my in laws until either an early scan, or 12 weeks. I’ll see how I feel after a scan! Just because I don’t want to get text messages all the time and asked about it 🙈🙈
im going to tell my other best friend and that’ll do me for a while. I learnt with my MMC it’s better to have told some people so that if anything was to go wrong you’ve got support. I hadn’t told my mum that time and it was awful having to tell her I was pregnant and lost the baby In one conversation.
everyone is different though and it’s up to you. Just take a few days at a time and see how you feel 😊

PumpkinEverything · 04/12/2022 08:17

Got my 3+ this morning 🥰 so I think I’m good to stop testing! I think I’m 5+3 today.

sally16 · 04/12/2022 08:55

@marleyandme I've told everyone 😅
