It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

Ahhhhh welcome and congrats @sinloutox 3 years TTC, that's quite a journey. How amazing and keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!

TheBirdintheCave · 29/11/2022 07:22

Welcome and congrats @sinloutox :D

Mulner88 · 29/11/2022 08:37

@sinloutox congrats ☺️ so happy for you after all this time TTC.

FlamingoBabe · 29/11/2022 08:42

@sinloutox ahhh huge congratulations! X

DesertSnow · 29/11/2022 08:55

@AnnieApple123 good idea going for a tour/test drive. I just picked the closest hospital even though I would actually slightly prefer a different one - this one just won on a practicality level.

@FlamingoBabe absolutely, and I'm sure if I had terrible nausea I would be wishing it away. Can't win! Definitely have plenty of tiredness and boobs get very sore when I take my bra off, so thankful for those symptoms 😂

@Chocolotandtea I often don't sleep well, and the last few nights haven't been great - waking up at 3am and lying awake for long periods of time. Definitely try to speak to your GP but you could look into natural relaxation things perhaps? Even if it's a placebo effect.

Eek @ChloeN UTI doesn't sound fun - get thee to the GP!

@UsernameNotPresent I totally get what you mean about feeling stuff happening down there, I feel it too and keep getting cramps which freaks me out, but so far they've passed without anything further happening. Keeps me on edge!

@sinloutox Congrats and welcome! Sounds like you've had quite the journey to get here. I also feel like I need to see it on a scan before it really sinks in!

I'm super happy about being pregnant, which goes without saying, but it is really dawning on me that December is 'booze and cheese month' and if you like either of those things it's undoubtedly the hardest month to hide an early pregnancy 😂I keep getting invited to things and people are saying 'oh let's just get mulled wine for the table', 'I'm going to have such a food baby' etc.

TheBirdintheCave · 29/11/2022 09:05

@DesertSnow Yes. Oh how I will miss cider and brie 😂 100% worth it though :)

Mulner88 · 29/11/2022 11:20

Just looking for some reassurance...my boobs don't feel that sore or heavy today and I'm panicking a bit. I have read that it can fluctuate but just a bit concerned. Is this happening with anyone else?

It did with my son. I kept a diary of that time and the soreness of my boobs definitely seemed to vary from day to day. I remember panicking then too but all was well with him :)

Mulner88 · 29/11/2022 11:37

@TheBirdintheCave thank you. That's reassuring but I'm an anxious mess 🙈 I'll just keep thinking positive! Arrrgh I just want time to go on, everyday seems to be dragging!

TheBirdintheCave · 29/11/2022 11:42

@Mulner88 It really does! I'm hoping that the run up to Christmas will make everything whizz by now. I'm trying to fill my weekends up. We've got friends round this Saturday and are going to a stately home for a Christmas market with the in-laws on Sunday so by the time all that is done I'll be six weeks.

Mulner88 · 29/11/2022 11:49

@TheBirdintheCave aw that sounds lovely 😍 Yeh you're right! It is a good time in first trimester for distractions. I've a few busy weekends coming up but this one will be quiet but might plan something 😂

Hope everyone is keeping well ☺️

ChloeN · 29/11/2022 12:17

@Mulner88 I just thought the exact same, my nipples still hurt but my actual boobs aren’t that sore😭

Got checked for a uti, all clear so guessing it’s just pregnancy symptoms!

DesertSnow · 29/11/2022 13:16

@Mulner88 my boob pain has been fluctuating as well, keep telling myself it's normal but good to see more reassurance here!

Glad it's not a UTI @ChloeN. I've noticed I'm peeing a lot more today. Guess it's all normal!

somuchtolearnabout · 29/11/2022 14:00

I basically had zero pregnancy symptoms with either of my children until heartburn which didn't come until almost 20 weeks both times. If I hadn't gone for scans or started getting a bump I'd honestly have zero idea I was pregnant. It's very normal to have symptoms but also very normal not to. Symptoms are reassuring so I'm a morbid way I'm almost jealous of people who have them (prob won't be saying that if I get them!) but equally, please don't be disheartened or concerned if you don't have any. You're definitely not alone and it doesn't mean anything. I definitely had mild nausea for a few days but that's gone now so I'm just trying to forget about it and stay positive 🤞🏼

Mulner88 · 29/11/2022 14:12

Thanks all for the reassurance ☺️

That's good @ChloeN UTI's are the worst!!!

Moolahdog · 29/11/2022 14:35

I’m completely the same! Symptoms coming and going and it’s definitely making me nervous. My back pain has gone now, occasionally get the odd cramp but that’s it. Glad it hear it sounds normal!

Congratulations to everyone who has joined since I last commented 😊

ew9018 · 29/11/2022 15:51

Hello everyone! The world of pregnancy and mumsnet is VERY new to me. I’ve just found out I’m pregnant from the first month trying. Currently 4 weeks 2 days, but anxiety is through the roof! Can’t help but think it’s all too good to be true because I know the struggles so many people have! Just reading this thread though has made me realise I’m not alone, everyone seems so supportive! Any tips on not overthinking everything? I’ve been constantly googling and researching stats on miscarriage, the different types, when they’re most likely etc. I suspect the first advice will be to stop googling! Also didn’t realise how obsessive I’d get over those test lines😅any advice on how to deal with this stage of such uncertainty would be greatly appreciated. As someone already mentioned, the days are soooo loooooong!

user1201 · 29/11/2022 16:09

Hey guys, been following for a week now since I found out, I think I'm 4 weeks today, my cycles are super short so I found out on CD 23 with a clear blue digital 1-2 weeks. Got my 2-3 weeks today and saving the last for the hopes of a 3+

Like everyone else I can't help but worry and think the worse and the days are never ending.

Haven't told a soul but my partner and I'm extremely close to my family but wanting to keep it a surprise for Christmas Day, it's definitely going to be hard with all the December plans. I've made 2 excuses for not drinking already 😂

We'd been trying for 7 months so very much wanted, just want to get past these very early weeks safely so I can relax and enjoy!

Look forward to sharing this with journey with you all 💛

TheBirdintheCave · 29/11/2022 16:10

Congrats @ew9018 and @user1201 :) Welcome to the group!

Daisy1992 · 29/11/2022 16:10

@ew9018 congratulations! I feel exactly the same. I am also 4 weeks and 2 days.. and have also been spending the last 2 days googling everything! I have done barely any work 😆!
I have repeated my test this morning and am really happy with the line progression, so will do that again on Thursday morning I think - added the picture here.

I have been getting what feels like period pains since my BFP, but have read this is really normal for the early stages. They don't feel strong but if I didn't know I was already pregnant I would be sure my period is about to start. Is anyone else getting this?

Due August 2023?
BoodifulGoose · 29/11/2022 16:12

@somuchtolearnabout thank you so much for this comment, has reassured me a lot!

@ew9018 Congratulations 🥰 and literally, snap! No tips as first time and first try, but so reassuring to see it's not just me not believing it!
I found out on Thursday and tested Thur, Fri, Sun and today. I'm going to try and stop now, I got a really strong positive today and think seeing the progression has been enough to convince me it's real, any more will probably just stress me out!

Literally just messaged my fiance saying "we need to find a way to get me to stop googling" as today I've panicked about miscarriages, the pay in shared parental leave, and cloth nappies or no. I think I'm overloading myself with info that I don't necessarily need just yet 😂

BoodifulGoose · 29/11/2022 17:01

@Daisy1992 I'm now 5w4d but when I was 4w 2 days to about 5 days, I had what I would have called period cramps! Not had any since, so assuming they were implantation cramps, but I have no authority to say that 😂

PumpkinEverything · 29/11/2022 17:05

Joining in too! I’m not 100% sure how far along I am as my cycles are a bit irregular. Due date calculator has me at 3rd august. I’d been tracking my cycles purely to see how long they were but not testing for ovulation so I don’t know when that happened. I suspect I ovulated early as we had sex once and it should have been outside my fertile window 😂 so this is a surprise….

I have a DD already who is 13 months old and we didn’t plan on trying again for a second until next summer haha.

i haven’t even told my husband yet as I’m waiting on some clear blue and FRER arriving. Although my two easy@ home came up lightly positive before the dye reached the top..and then are the same colour as control.

although this was a ‘surprise’ ive weirdly felt like I was going to get pregnant and sort of just had this feeling! I’ve been quite crampy and also getting some twinges and stretching feeling in the centre. Also really quite tired most nights (more so than normal considering I’ve a 13 month old anyway…)

also getting the same anxiety as everyone else. I had a MMC at 9 weeks before my DD was born, and I actually found out at my 12 week scan almost 2 years ago today exactly, before having surgical management for it on the 8th December. So I’m feeling a bit nervous about that. I’d like an early scan too but I’m scared of booking one before Christmas and then possibly being devastated, but also it would be lovely!

ChloeN · 29/11/2022 17:08

@PumpkinEverything hey! Think we have the same due date so my early scan would also fall before Christmas, so honestly think I’m just going to hold out, at least till after!xx

Mulner88 · 29/11/2022 17:30

Welcome @PumpkinEverything and congrats 😀

@Daisy1992 I've been having light cramping on and off today. I know it's normal but it does freak me out a bit when it happens!
