Pregnant after ivf - 5 weeks

Hi me and a couple of other lucky ladies have got our BFPs following ivf and wanted to create a new thread for others on their early pregnancy journey. I am 5+2 and my first scan is at 6+6. I’m very nervous something will go wrong.

Currently my symptoms are:

• very heavy, swollen, sore breasts
• some morning sickness
• burping and gas
• bloated
• tiredness

Not good news for us today I’m afraid. Our little one has stopped growing and no longer has a heartbeat. Heartbroken is an understatement, thought that finally after almost a decade we had done it. Good luck to you all for the rest of your pregnancies, thank you for all your support xxx

@SunshineAndScience i am so so sorry to hear this. Like others have said, nothing we can say will make it better. It is so unfair. Sending you love at this painful time and hope for the future. But right now I hope you can find comfort in those around you.

I’ve had my scan today to. My dates I should be 7/8 weeks since I had ivf. But going by a an today I’m measuring 5w2d.
the only thing they saw was the sac but nothing in it. She said I’m either early or I’ve miscarried. I’m back on the 21st to see but she said it’s not looking good.

Mine is tomorrow and I'm literally sick with fear and anxiety!

I’m so sorry @Shannon88 you are going through this. It’s not the same, but earlier in the year I was told I was not pregnant after ivf, then told I was pregnant, then told I’d miscarried, then told there might be a new pregnancy to then have an ectopic found 3 weeks later. I found the uncertainty and rollercoaster so challenging and all that really helped me was just trying to get through one day at a time. But it’s so tough. Sending you all the love and hope you can lean on loved ones for support.

thank yous . It really is annoying the waiting. But there hoping I’m just behind or was a miracle in between all this. Im glad I can rule out ectopic now so im not stressed anymore and im just gonna take it as it is and go with flow. There nothing I can do so just have to pray something will be there next Wednesday.

I did change my username cause all I’ve been told the past 6 weeks is wait lol

@Spink2022 1230. Not in work before it and told the guys in the office to be prepared not to see me for the rest of the day! It would be so cruel to still have all these symptoms and it not be growing anymore! The closer the appointment gets the less positivity I have x

@Nerdalert you're so close. Try and get some sleep. I know it’s gunna be super hard tonight but it’s not gunna help your anxiety to be exhausted too. Remember this group

@SunshineAndScience so sorry to hear such heart breaking news !! I hope you have a good support network around you, did they say how many weeks baby was measuring ? When I had my MMC I was 11 weeks and they said it had stopped growing around 5 weeks, it’s so sad but you will get through this, I really hope you are ok, here if you need to chat xx💖

Morning everyone. We had our scan at 8w0 yesterday and baby is measuring 8w3d. Not sure how it’s even possible to measure ahead with ivf..?! I was worried sick in the run up to it with having no symptoms, bar tiredness. It seems I’m just lucky or they’re yet to hit me like a tonne of bricks
