This is how my two previous chemicals started, except my tests are very very positive this time and haven’t faded. Just gone to the loo and pink blood on wiping. I’m beside myself. Scan not til weds :(

I had spotting every two/three weeks from implantation bleeding all the way to birth. You're not out!

Dr told me 1/3 women will spot during pregnancy. Have hope love, and pray xx

ScaredMum12 · 07/11/2022 15:03

I’m experiencing something similar. I had some brown spotting yesterday that has continued into today. Only seems to be happening when I wipe and don’t have any cramps. I rang the EPU and the earliest they can fit me in is weds. Really scared, but the nurse did say up to 50% of all early pregnancies have bleeding/spotting and that it’s only worrying if you fill a pad. Are you filling a pad @bubble55?

hope we’re both ok!!

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 15:10

@ScaredMum12 i have nothing on a pad. Just a small amount when I wiped last night but it was pink/red and then today I’ve had some pink discharge once and specks of pink when I wipe far up (basically forcing the tissue up TMI but I wouldn’t have it if I wiped normally). How far are You? I’ve nothing now. Scan tomorrow x

I’m around 6 weeks! Glad you have scan tomorrow hopefully it’ll give you reassurance. Sometimes when I wipe I have nothing and other times brown spotting. Hope the nurse was right and we’re just experiencing something normal! I’ve got scan weds x

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 16:02

I work at the hospital and went to speak to a midwife she said it’s fresh red blood they look for really…I don’t think anything can reassure me until I know baby is ok in there. Please keep me updated and let me know how you get on. I hate reading threads like this with no updates x

I had some pink discharge at 6 weeks and thought it was all over for me. I've just had my 20 week scan so it definitely doesn't mean it's over. Hospital told me at the time that pink blood is usually fine! I hope it turns out okay for you 💕

ScaredMum12 · 07/11/2022 16:21

Will keep you updated, please keep me updated too? What time is your scan tomorrow? X

Moosh18 · 07/11/2022 16:23

@bubble55 hey! I hope you are okay, I'm currently 8 weeks and have had two occasions of pink spotting followed by brown very very light, I have a scan on Friday and am convinced it's all over, please update on how you get on, thinking of you ❤️

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 16:33

I just did a clearblue weeks and it’s stuck on 2-3 :(

Moosh18 · 07/11/2022 16:38

@bubble55 how many weeks are you? Those indicator ones aren't that accurate I don't think, plus you can get the hook effect around week 6/7 xx

ScaredMum12 · 07/11/2022 16:39

Omg my CB is stuck on 2-3 too! thought it would be 3+ by now! Apparently they’re really inaccurate though x

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 16:42

I’m 6 weeks today I think. My last period was a chemical. What’s your bleeding like @Moosh18 ? That’s reassuring @ChristmasJumpers did you bleed too?
I’ve done a cheap Morrisons test and it’s strong lines.
im really worked up x

Yeah I’ve read so many bad reviews but I still get sucked in to but one @ScaredMum12 🙈

Moosh18 · 07/11/2022 16:44

@bubble55 seems to of totally stopped, I've only seen pink on two occasions in last week and some light brown

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 16:49

That’s a good sign @Moosh18 fingers crossed we all have a happy outcome. My boobs still tingle but I do have a back ache x

SiberFox · 07/11/2022 16:53

Wishing you the best of luck OP. I had two MC that started with spotting but also spotted and had light brown/pink bleeding at 4,6 and 7 weeks in my current pregnancy - 23 weeks now and all okay. Impossible to know but fingers crossed for you x

Snugglemonkey · 07/11/2022 16:53

I am another spotter. Sometimes spot didn't cover it at all, in my first pregnancy I had several large bleeds and went for scans convinced it had to mean the end, but no. He is 6. This time was calmer, but I still spotted. Both times things calmed after about 12 weeks.

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 16:33

I just did a clearblue weeks and it’s stuck on 2-3 :(

I never had anything other than 2-3 weeks on clearblue, but am 36 weeks now. Please try not to panic.

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 16:58

Thanks so much ladies. I am a worrier because I’ve lost two pregnancies recently, this is my third time being pregnant in 4
months. I guess the bleeding stopping is a good sign, just petrified of going to sleep and waking up covered in blood like last time.

OP posts:
ScaredMum12 · 07/11/2022 18:37

@bubble55 its so scary when you’ve had previous losses but you’re not too far from your scan time now. Fingers crossed you’ll get the reassurance you need and you’ll see a happy, healthy little baby!

My body seems so confused today… weird brown discharge and now a sudden wave of nausea? I’ve not had morning sickness yet this pregnancy but it feels like this could be the beginning? Keeping everything crossed as pregnancy symptoms will be a great reassurance atm! X

Hrf1503 · 07/11/2022 19:49

@bubble55 you can also ask your EPU for a progesterone prescription. They prescribe them in pregnancy if you’ve had a previous miscarriage and have bleeding in your current pregnancy www.tommys.org/tommys-research-helps-inform-national-guidance-around-progesterone-treatment-prevent-early. You might not be a progesterone issue but it can’t hurt (and psychologically at least help you feel like you’re doing something).

I’m so sorry for your previous loss and gentle congratulations on this pregnancy. Pregnancy after loss is so difficult, you spiral over every symptom so I really feel for you. Wishing you all the best for the scan tomorrow.

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 19:54

Thank you @Hrf1503 i have been trying to get progesterone since my first loss but nobody will prescribe it to me until they see a viable pregnancy on a scan, hence why my scan tomorrow was booked (originally weds but brought forward due to bleed) I am having a bit of cramping but nothing too painful. Just had another pink streak when I wiped but again, it’s when I poke around! (Sorry don’t know how to say it polite lol) so woukdnt be there in a normal wee or anything.

i wouldn’t wish pregnancy loss upon anyone. It is so cruel and takes every ounce of excitement away from new pregnancies.

i don’t believe in God but man I’d do absolutely anything and pray to anybody if it meant this baby was ok tomorrow .

@ScaredMum12 Nausea coming is good!

Spicypumpkins · 07/11/2022 19:56

you just wouldn’t know but I had pink and red spotting with both kids up until about 9/10 weeks! It was horrible so I went for a couple of early scans for reassurance.

A lot of people get breakthrough bleeding when your period would normally be due, at least that’s what I was told.

Spicypumpkins · 07/11/2022 19:58

Also I think when I had my scan at six weeks they couldn’t see a heartbeat but it was there the week after!

bubble55 · 07/11/2022 20:14

@Spicypumpkins my period wouldn’t be due for another two weeks so I don’t think it’s that :( what was your bleeding like? Glad things are going well for you now x
