This is me today at 35+2, bump seems to look much smaller on this photo than real life! I’m on the 90th centile!

@Jaaxe I looked back at my notes from my 31w scan and they estimated baby's weight at 2lbs 13oz which was around 3rd centile.

Today I had another growth scan at 33w and they estimated he is 3lbs 10oz and 6th centile. At least the growth rate matches the curve, just sitting low in the chart.

I have another scan booked for just under 2 weeks (the Monday instead of the Wed when I would be 35w). They said unless the growth rate really drops off I should be able to go beyond 35-36 weeks. Looks like even if things go well, I'll be having an induction or c section in week 37 or 38.

So it looks like I will be more like the beginning of Dec instead of the 21st (EDD). Eek!

Jaaxe · 03/11/2022 10:12

@Bluebonnet3 yes this is good that it’s following a line as that’s the main thing, have you other children? We’re they born small?

Mine was measuring between the 3rd and the 10th centile on the chart at 31weeks, next scan is 33weeks on Wednesday. I’ve been trying to eat loads the last week or so to boost its growth but last night I had horrendous stomach cramps and vomiting then all night diahorrea so I think I have a bug now. Rang maternity assessment but as baby is moving and I’m not bleeding don’t need to be seen unless things get worse. But now I can’t eat anything so hopefully won’t last too long or affect its growth! Xx

Sorry but need to vent a little bit 😭
I'm full of cold, stuck at home with 2 toddlers who are also full of cold and are cranky as a result. I've got a suspected ear infection too so I'm in a lot of pain with that and have no hearing in that side 🤦‍♀️ and then to top it off, our landlords have turned up to do some maintenance which desperately needs doing so I'm stuck with them here all day too! 😭 I've managed to get a doctors appointment for tomorrow afternoon so hopefully they'll be able to give me something to help with the ear pain 🤞🤞

Hello all, not posted for a while, 31w5d today. Been feeling increasingly uncomfortable and lethargic in the last couple of weeks, which is making me a bit grumpy and impatient with DD and anxious about how I'll cope with 2. This is a much longer for baby but sadly I'm feeling more overwhelmed than excited as my due date approaches... anyone else?

Mommabear20 · 03/11/2022 13:19

@snufkin84 I was the same when expecting my second! But as I quickly found, it's much easier (not EASY but definitely easier) having 2 kids than having 1 kid and being pregnant! 😂 I'm struggling now with 2 and being pregnant so looking forward to babies arrival!

34+6 weeks, 5 weeks 1 day to go. Overly emotional the last couple days and shattered. The waddle is on full blast, and constant pressure and feeling him hitting cervix, lightening crotch as they call it is getting intense.xx

Mommabear20 · 03/11/2022 15:13

Has anyone else's appetite gone? Since about 16 weeks I've been eating near constantly, and then yesterday and today, I just have no appetite at all 🤷‍♀️

33mama · 03/11/2022 15:18

I've barely had an appetite the whole pregnancy, I wat cause I know I need too, and I'm always full after a few bites. X

Bluebonnet3 · 03/11/2022 15:44

@Jaaxe this is my first baby so I have nothing to compare with. Everything seems to be going well otherwise, but I have risk factors of age (I'm 43), weight (just reached BMI 30 in first trimester when midwife weighed me), and ivf. I think the medical professionals are assuming my placenta is just not performing, even though it appears to have good blood flow.

Thanks, @Mommabear20, that does make me feel better. You're right, one thing's for sure, I'll definitely not be pregnant anymore once I've two on my hands...

agahah · 03/11/2022 21:36

33 weeks tomorrow. Is anyone else experiencing really bad anxiety not related to the baby?

HayleyBean · 04/11/2022 17:35

Hey everyone! How are we all doing on this Friday evening?

MsCactus · 04/11/2022 17:49

33w + 4d first time Mum. Getting very excited for baby now.

Question: are people counting down to their due date (40 weeks) or down to when they're full term (37 weeks)?

Interested in answer, as I've been counting down to 37 weeks my whole pregnancy (my mum delivered all of us at 37 weeks so possibly why)

Aw so exciting, I'm 34+3 first time mam too. My main countdown (like when people ask how long left) is to due date 40 weeks but I'm also counting down to full term in my head as I'm hoping he'll not come overdue at all and I'll be harvesting colostrum and upping my raspberry leaf tea intake at 37 weeks!

TeamBluex4 · 04/11/2022 18:10

Hi ladies! Thought i would share a pic of bump.. 35+5 today 💙 have my next growth scan on thursday to see what position this brute of a baby is & to check on my fluid level as i have polyhydraminos due to GD! hope your all keeping well & love to see photos of your beautiful bumps.. @MsCactus im counting down to 37weeks because their is no way on this earth im going to make it to 40! 😂

Mommabear20 · 04/11/2022 19:14

@MsCactus I'm counting down to 39 weeks as that's when both my others have arrived.
I keep getting this feeling that there's something I need to do before she arrives, but I have no idea what 😂🤷‍♀️

In my head I’m preparing for a mid November baby (due dec 4th)… no way do I want to go to 42 weeks! I’m so ready for baby to come and can’t imagine having to wait another 6 weeks if he is late! Come on baby! Currently on my ball!

TeamBluex4 · 04/11/2022 20:09

@Laughingmole haha good on you bit dearing of you like 😂 i want this brute to stay in aslong as he can(DP still doing nursery) but i know it will be impossible for my body as he is a big baby!.. also due on 4th December too 😊 Think their is quite a few of us on here due december 4th 😁

TeamBluex4 · 04/11/2022 20:11

daring* i meant stupid phone 😂

HayleyBean · 05/11/2022 08:04

I'm counting down til 40 weeks - mainly because DH is a teacher and breaks up 2 days after baby is due so hopefully if baby times it right we'll have Christmas all off together. Our NHS trust only allows you to go overdue by 7 days before they offer an induction. It used to be 14 days but they changed it to 10 days during covid and now 7. I'm due on the 13th :)

Chanel05 · 05/11/2022 09:28

@MsCactus my c-section is booked for my due date so I know that baby will be here on or before 22nd December!!

With my first baby, my countdown was to the 40 week mark really, since most first babies are overdue (I actually think week 41 is most common!). I remember getting to my due date and thinking hmm, will my waters break at any minute? And they didn't! A bit anticlimactic 😂. I actually did wake up to contractions at 40+1 anyway but was very aware that plenty of people go to the 42 week mark and just because I didn't fancy it, didn't mean it wasn't going to happen to me! Smile

Vg92 · 05/11/2022 11:00

Hi, ftm and very scared. I was told I will need a c section between 37 and 38 weeks because the baby is small, currently 2kg at 35+4 days. I am very nervous the section may be at 37 weeks exactly because I think it is very early for the baby to be out and he might be less than 2.5 kg which is not good either.
My scan due date is 6 December but my last period due date is 11 December. Then estimated the section according to the scan date which I know is more accurate but can't help but worry it may be too soon.
Also although I have anterior placenta, the baby is active and kicks strongly, I can accurate see the kicks through my belly.
Any experience about birth at 37 weeks/ around 2.5 kg and /or expected small babies that are active will be a huge help. Thank you and wish you all a calm and nice weekend!

Jaaxe · 05/11/2022 11:17

I’m counting to 37weeks as I’ll be having a C-section at that gestation and it’s already booked 😬 @Vg92 mine is currently measuring small too, I’m hoping it’ll of had a big growth spurt at my next scan on Wednesday but who knows, it doesn’t feel small when it moves either and also got anterior placenta….I’ve a csection booked for 37 weeks my consultant is not worried about baby coming out a little early as it’s considered full term but plans to give me the steroid injections for babies lungs just be to be on the safe side but said it’s literally just being over cautious. They would keep baby in as long as possible if it was safer for baby, they will literally recommend what is safest for the baby at the end of the day, sometimes that’s staying in the womb sometimes that’s coming out earlier x
