That's great news @Dewintergarden noting beatsseeing the baby move and hearing the heartbeat

ImHopeful2023 · 06/12/2022 17:16

Hi @Zaalfruit thank for your kind message. Yes I'm in the high pregnancy unit and said as long as pregnancy progresses along the way it is I will be scanned to see growth also at those weeks as I have a positive ana test but have no autoimmune disease they are keeping a closer eye just to be safe so hoping this pregnancy will be ok and healthy

firsttimelondonmummy · 06/12/2022 18:52

Hey all! Been quiet as been anxiously waiting for Harmony results.
Great news is all 0.01% probability and we found out we are having a boy.
No one in my family has ever had a boy so to say I’m shell shocked is an understatement 😂
However I have had all the wives tale tell tale boys symptoms (a severe lack of haha) and been craving salty food etc also I think my ovulation was right at the end of the sperm survival sorry for the detail haha but the science says it’s often a boy in those cases (if you believe in those things)

Sorry to hear some of you are still suffering with sickness. Hopefully this second trimester will soon bring some respite from that! 🤞🏻

@firsttimelondonmummy, great news on both accounts! I bet you're over the moon for a healthy baby boy 💙

Speaking of gender predictions, I found an interesting quiz on Wonder Weeks based on 'science'. There was some interesting statistics on there. Here's the link if anyone is keen to know while waiting for results or gender scans etc: www.thewonderweeks.com/baby-gender-predictor/

firsttimelondonmummy · 06/12/2022 20:22

@B1993 so thrilled and so so glad that he’s looking healthy so far 😭💙

@B1993 I did your test and got boy and no joke only one of my answers increased the likelihood of a girl.
Really great explanations behind the answers too!

dresslol · 06/12/2022 20:47

@B1993 I found out the gender with my panorama test, it’s a girl, and I just did the gender test on your link and the result was a girl!

Zaalfruit · 06/12/2022 20:55

@tigerlily0 thats awful - that’s a year , so unfair . The NHS is in a bad place !

@Dewintergarden aw I’m so glad you have gotten some peace - glad you got to see the baby move around and do acrobatics !

@Hlc86 lovely and clear pic !! baby olympics - when you are watching the screen 😂

(So my level of thyroid T3 has triggered me apparently to have extra growth scans . Even though I like the idea of extra scans - the hospital they have given them at - is awful . My wait for the consultant yesterday was over a 100 mins and it’s a hub hospital so it’s super busy . )

Zaalfruit · 06/12/2022 21:02

I want to find out the gender so badly !! @B1993 I just did the test on the link and it said BOY . lol we will find out 😂😂🤣

BobbySD345 · 06/12/2022 21:23

@B1993 this predicts boy for me ! I'm convinced it's a girl and I have got a girl baby name list on the go haha. We will see ! Only 5 ish weeks until we can find out ❤️

I've been sent an appointment letter to see a member of the obstetrics team at around 7 months, does anyone know why? Is this something everyone does? It seems to have come out the blue, a few weeks after the flurry of appointments I was sent.

It is my first pregnancy so I'm wondering if it's that, or does it mean I'll be consultant led? It's not been confirmed to me whether I'll be midwife or consultant led but I know I'm on the cusp

I've been told I'm low risk but have been given a consultant appt in January, I have no idea why? I don't know it's to confirm they're happy to sign you off as low risk? I vaguely remember something similar with my first.

Fredthespider · 07/12/2022 12:57

@tigerlily0 that’s awful! I’m so sorry. I’m also suffering with pelvic girdle pain and I have a physio appointment on Monday. Admittedly it’s an online group appointment, and I’ve already done the course in a previous pregnancy, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to ask to actually see someone in person at it.

I asked for the referral at my booking appointment at 8 weeks as the pain kicked in at 6 weeks this time, but the physio wouldn’t accept it until 12 weeks. I’ll be 15 weeks at the appointment.

NalaNana · 07/12/2022 13:29

@Algor1thm interesting! I'm seeing my midwife next week so I'll ask her then. She told me I was on the cusp of consultant led because of a high BMI but I have no other health issues, blood pressure great etc so she wasn't sure. At the 12 week scan it was confirmed to me that I'd receive "routine care" but then I've also be sent an appointment for a growth scan at 30 weeks with no explanation so I'm none the wiser 🙃

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 07/12/2022 16:20

@firsttimelondonmummy Congrats on boy. So pleased only boy, that's exciting!

I've decided to wait until 20 weeks. 16 weeks would be Xmas day so it'll be awkward. I'll save on costs of scan. DH just announced he's going away with work day of my 20 week scan so I'll be alone finding out. I wouldn't take anyone else as they'll find out before DH which wouldn't be fair. DH would love a boy, DD wants a sister, I'm not fussed.

I managed a jacket potato with cheese just now. So pleased as I haven't eaten properly in weeks now and struggling to function 😣Got my consultant app on 23rd so hopefully they'll give me an idea of further scans/apps coming.

BobbySD345 · 07/12/2022 16:21

@NalaNana have you been told you will have the glucose test because of your BMI? If so maybe they've routinely booked an appt for growth scan. Not sure ! Ring the midwife and ask ?

My scan isn't until 13th and I am so impatient !!!

NalaNana · 07/12/2022 16:25

@BobbySD345 yeah I will be having a glucose test so it could be to do with that 🤔 I'm seeing the midwife next Tuesday so I'll ask her then and see if she can shed any light!

firsttimelondonmummy · 07/12/2022 16:33

@BellaTheDarkOverlord thank you! My mum is very chuffed I’ve broken the cycle of girls 😂

I’ve been really off dinner the last few weeks lost 7lb 😭 just really struggling to find any appetite in the evening!

you’ll have to update us when you find out what your having 💙💖

OP posts:
BobbySD345 · 07/12/2022 17:01

I could really do with losing 7lbs! I'm finding I'm just eating beige junk as it's all I can stomach. I've just made my OH a tuna pasta bake with loads of veg as he's been living on sandwiches, toasties and pizza when I can't face cooking so he will be thrilled. It's made me feel sick cooking it though.

i cannot wait to find out what we are having! The scan clinic has offered for us to go on NYE when I will be 15 weeks based on the last scan they did for me. So tempted !

In other news my hormones are still really weird. Just re watched Captain Phillips which is an amazing film and quite emotional but I cried three times lol 😆

pippabg · 07/12/2022 17:52

@BobbySD345 don't worry, I'm also eating nothing but beige food! Bread, pasta, with the odd bit of fruit thrown in! The idea of vegetables just makes me feel sick...

Katie2021 · 07/12/2022 19:17

Had my 12 week scan today.. turns out I’m 14 weeks! Could see the baby moving arms and legs so amazing to see could watch all day 😍

My baby was face down so they had me going up and down stairs and wiggling my hips to try to get the baby to turn over 😂😂 the lady ended up having to flip the picture haha,

any guesses for the gender? I’ve seen so many theory’s online but i can’t work out haha Xxx

Katie2021 · 07/12/2022 19:20

@BobbySD345 aww I’ve been the exact same the past few weeks 😂 litrally sandwiches and pizza has been helping me get through but feel bad about not eating healthy! My midwife said we can make up for that once the sickness settles down, most important thing is to keep some kind of food and water down xxxx

Zaalfruit · 07/12/2022 19:49

@Katie2021 wow you went 2 weeks ahead what’s your due day? That’s a super clear pic . I am the worst at nub theory I can’t work out - what I am meant to look at.

Also I caved in to a scan and getting one down this Saturday at 8am - ( fun times with a toddler 😂😂😂)

I did my blood sugar test at 12 weeks and doing it again at 16 and then again at some point . I think it might be because of my bmi .

Has anyone given any thoughts of where to give birth , hospital, maternity midwife led unit , home , water? ( I really want to have a water birth in a maternity midwife led unit - however my consultant said currently my only
option is the hospital . So bummed to be honest - I know it’s for the safety of me and baby ) ( last pregnancy my heart nearly stopped )

firsttimelondonmummy · 07/12/2022 20:01

@BobbySD345 @pippabg @Katie2021 I’m exactly the same!
it’s definitely the lack of alcohol and kebab eating after nights out that’s dropped my weight off. 🤣
I can’t bare veggies and only getting fruit in through a daily smoothie.
crumpets for breakfast, sandwiches and crisps for lunch, pasta, pizza or soup for dinner 😭

Katie2021 · 07/12/2022 20:04

@Zaalfruit yeah, I thought I was going to be back dated if anything 😂 I was so shocked, so my due date is now 7th of June ❤️ Was so pleased with how clear it came out, she said it was because I had a full bladder (I drank so much water before going)

ive been trying the nub theory too hahah! I just can’t work it out still 😂 so impatient I might book a private gender scan before the 20 week scan, think you can get the gender one earlier if you pay for the scan can’t you? I don’t think it’s too expensive.

how far will you be at your scan on Saturday? xxxxx
