@B1993 no way!
I still haven’t told the majority of people at work so I shouldn’t complain about it too much either.
I just love everyone’s little bumps though 😭 he still doesn’t feel real apart from scan days as I can feel or see him yet 😢

Just wondering if anyone has experienced any bleeding on 2nd trimester. 17+2 and had some on wiping just now. It was between brown, pink and a bit of red. Don't know whether to call midwife or someone or wait until tomorrow.

usedtolovenaps · 03/01/2023 17:38

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay I wish you all the best ❤️❤️ Please keep us updated. Rooting for your little baby.
@firsttimelondonmummy 15 weeks, looking exactly like you. It's the first pregnancy to get to this stage so I think it's normal. Feeling too anxious to announce and I'll wait until there's a clearly visible bump so it gives me time ☺️

usedtolovenaps · 03/01/2023 17:39

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I'd call pregnancy unit just to get checked out ❤️

B1993 · 03/01/2023 18:32

@BellaTheDarkOverlord, I would also get checked out for this. I had some with my first pregnancy around this time and was told to go in to be monitored. Everything turned out fine then, so try not to worry! (Always best to be on the safe side though and doesn't hurt to give them a call!)

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 03/01/2023 19:24

Thanks for everyone’s kind words.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I would get this checked out, it’s probably totally normal but no harm in checking. I hope all is well and you get some reassurance soon.

@firsttimelondonmummy my bump is on the large side but I am 40 and lost my abdominal muscles years ago.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 03/01/2023 19:57

Thanks all x Bleeding stopped quickly and I can hear her heartbeat strongly. I'm going to see overnight and see how I am in morning. In a worst case scenario if I did go in now and something was wrong, I don't believe at this stage there would be anything they could do for me tonight that would stop the worst occuring. I'm hoping she just kicked a blood vessel and broke it. I feel no pain.

BobbySD345 · 03/01/2023 20:03

@firsttimelondonmummy if it is your first baby and you are slim (which you certainly look!) you won't get a big bump early on. Baby is still only small. I am quite bit but this is second baby. I would say I am double the size I was at this stage with my first as I presume my stomach muscles aren't as good this time round x

B1993 · 03/01/2023 20:22

@BellaTheDarkOverlord, that's reassuring that you've managed to find the heartbeat and that spotting has since stopped!

I can only speak for myself, but with DS they put my second trimester spotting down to placenta praevia (low-lying placenta) and it wasn't a concern at all. Hopefully yours is nothing to worry about either!

DrinkingAllTheGin · 03/01/2023 20:36

I'm feeling so bloated all day at the moment. Full of baby! Regarding bumps, I can't work out if my bump is just the same fat tum I had before!

ImHopeful2023 · 03/01/2023 20:39

I'm same as you re bump @DrinkingAllTheGin hoping baby is doing ok inside

firsttimelondonmummy · 03/01/2023 20:43

@usedtolovenaps ah I’m glad I’m not the only one then!

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay I can’t wait to get mine! I think they are so beautiful 😭❤️

@BobbySD345 I did hear second time round you show a lot quicker just I have a lot of first time friends who are only a dress size or two bigger than me who have a proper bump already 😭 so I just got a bit worried I think.

@DrinkingAllTheGin I had bloating badly up to week 12 (looked 15/20 weeks) and now I am 16 weeks he’s hiding.
I feel like I get bloating only when I eat a big dinner now which is weird.
Also tummy’s are amazing big or small! I can’t wait to hopefully see mine get bigger as he grows ❤️🙏🏻

Well my little treasure is still making me sick most mornings. So pretty sure all is goon in there.
My tummy is certainly a lot firmer than before. I am in maternity leggings most days as they are the only thing I find comfortable at the moment.

firsttimelondonmummy · 03/01/2023 21:07

@DrinkingAllTheGin oh no!!!
Hope little one stops making you poorly soon.

Do you have any recommendations on maternity leggings? My jeans are slightly uncomfortable after food these days 😂

OP posts:
DrinkingAllTheGin · 03/01/2023 21:12

I have 1 pair of M&S and 2 pairs of new look. Both pretty comfy and wash well.
Pretty good prices.

Zaalfruit · 04/01/2023 03:45

@firsttimelondonmummy oh don’t worry about your bump it will pop suddenly . My first pregnancy until 30 weeks looked like a big lunch and then suddenly over night it popped. Second time I already look more far bigger than the first time round. First time runs I was waiting impatiently to wear maternity clothes 🤣🤣🤣🤣

(Caught DD’s flu feeling awful - missing cold flu plus)

Algor1thm · 04/01/2023 06:48

@firsttimelondonmummy very normal for a first pregnancy! But you will get big eventually. I think last time round I did at about 24-28 weeks. Enjoy it while you can walk without waddling. This time round my belly button is already about to pop out at 19 weeks 🫨

justbelieve · 04/01/2023 07:14

Has anyone not put any weight on? I’ve lost 2lbs since the start… I do have a high BMI, so it’s probably a result of all the food aversions and eating less, but I also can’t see my bump because I had a bit of a belly anyway 🙈

BobbySD345 · 04/01/2023 07:18

I have got that horrible cough that's going round and my ribs and stomach are so bruised and sore from coughing. It's such a violent cough i have burst a blood vessel in one eye ! I was googling which cough medicines are OK to take but it seems all come with pregnancy warnings.

LT103 · 04/01/2023 07:24

I’m a first time pregnancy but at 18 weeks have seen a huge change in my tummy last 2-3 weeks and already seeing signs of belly button changing. Have a feeing I’m going to be big haha

PurBal · 04/01/2023 07:25

I remember wanting to put maternity clothes on with DC1. This pregnancy someone asked when I was due at 8 weeks. It got to the point I had to tell people because it was obvious…

PurBal · 04/01/2023 08:15

@firsttimelondonmummy Love leggings are great for maternity

@DrinkingAllTheGin aww it’s awful isn’t it ! I’m the same as you, im 18 weeks and still really struggling being sick still , I’ve had it since really early on too so it feels forever doesn’t it 😩the only thing that ever seems to help me is if I get more sleep / naps in, but obviously can’t when working 🙈 I’ve had 2 lots of different tablets from doctors that haven’t worked for me, I also feel like when I take pregnacare tablets they make me more sick! So going to look for a different brand.

ive been wearing maternity leggings that my mum got me from next they have been comfy, I don’t like pressure on my belly at the minute I feel like that doesn’t help when feeling sick.

praying it settles down for us both soon 🙏🏻❤️

@LT103 I’m also 18 weeks and would say the same, the past 2-3 weeks it’s really popped out more noticeable to other people and my belly button is starting to look different to me too 😂😂 my husband is 6 ft 7 so I’m terrified we’re going to have a massive baby 😂🙈this is our first xxxx
