Hello all, this is my first time posting as I was waiting to have my scan and finally had it today with a due date of 29th June 💜 any guesses on gender? I have no idea what I’m looking at

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay I hope all works out for you, you seem to be managing to deal with one of the hardest situations imaginable with extraordinary grace. May your little girl defy the odds. wishing you all the luck in the world for your amniocentesis.

HalWin2221 · 20/12/2022 15:11

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay i’m holding onto hope for you & your little girl! Your post had me tearing up. She sounds like she’s got a badass mum that will keep her safe & and warm! 🥺

@firsttimelondonmummy, I think that you should go by NIPT at this stage as the results are more accurate. I'm sure they check the heart (along with other organs etc.) at the 20w scan as this is to pick up any abnormalities. However, if they did see anything concerning at the 12w scan, I'm sure they would have noted it on your report, so I wouldn't worry!

@justbelieve, I loved my travel system as I found it so much more convenient! The Cybex cloud Z was a brilliant car seat - super safe although a bit heavy - but it has lie flat capabilities on the pram so I need had to worry about baby being in too long. The shnuggle baby bath was another great purchase. I breastfed and used Elvie (not everyone finds them as amazing as I did) but thought they were great!!! They are an expensive commitment though so not something I'd recommend buying until after baby is here and you're established with breastfeeding, if you choose to go down that route at all.

ImHopeful2023 · 20/12/2022 15:44

Hi @BellaTheDarkOverlord thanks for your reply at times Im just worried that baby isn't ok so I am questioning everything have a scan next week so hoping all is ok.

B1993 · 20/12/2022 15:45

@Domary, congrats on a healthy scan and welcome! I'd say girl but it's just a gut feeling and I'm sure someone will be able to give you an answer based on nub!

B1993 · 20/12/2022 15:59

@ImHopeful2023, I've had a lot since the first trimester! Had a test done to see if there was an infection (there wasn't) and midwife said it all sounds very normal!

I've noticed a few cramps and twinges this second trimester though. Everything is stretching and growing so again, think it's normal.

I'm finding it hard to remember what my first pregnancy was like and also wondered if the cramps were normal!

tigerlily0 · 20/12/2022 16:00

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay it must be such an anxious time for you. Praying for you and ur sweet baby girl <3

tigerlily0 · 20/12/2022 16:03

Is anyone booking/planning a holiday? We normally go away around this time but didn't plan anything as I was so sick and just didn't want to. Now I'm thinking feb half term or even in march when hopefully short haul countries might be a bit warmer. Il be around 26 weeks, i then read that be careful when flying esp around 28 weeks + and it's worried me a lot. Would like a nice relaxing break before me and DH become outnumbered!

firsttimelondonmummy · 20/12/2022 16:06

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay thank you! Also keeping everything crossed for yon and your little girl 🤞🏻💖

Thanks @B1993 also 🙏🏻

@tigerlily0 we are planning either the Algarve or Lanzarote at the start of April (I will be 29 weeks ☺️

@firsttimelondonmummy that sounds lovely! I so wanted to do a long haul holiday this year, as my kids are 6 and 8 and we love exploring and travelling. But all them plans have been shelved and it will be a short haul resort holiday I think! I definitely want something hot though. I will be 29 weeks mid march!

firsttimelondonmummy · 20/12/2022 16:32

@tigerlily0 don’t 😭 I was supposed to be in Thailand in Feb but I don’t want the vaccines or risk catching anything or eating dodgy street food which I know I’ll have to try when I eventually get there (third time lucky hopefully) 😢

OP posts:
tigerlily0 · 20/12/2022 16:35

@firsttimelondonmummy oh I know the feeling , we should have been in Thailand right about now! But I knew we were going to try for a third so I thought im not going to book and then risk my health. Similar with the Caribbean- shouldn't go because of the Zika virus. I'm not sure which short haul will be hot enough for me in march but il have to figure it out.

Belami · 20/12/2022 16:56

Hi everyone 👋

Hope you're all doing well. I've been following your group for a while but haven't yet introduced myself. Had a mc in summer and felt really scared to join a 'due in....' group with this baby, as though I would jinx myself .

Anyway I've finally plucked up the courage to say hi! I'm around 15 weeks now, hopefully so far so good 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 it's been a really anxious experience so far, hoping I will relax more as the pregnancy progresses.

Anyone else have/had an achey belly? I was really uncomfortable last night and woke up this morning with a really heavy feeling where I assume my uterus is. It's still aching now. Feel like I've popped over night too , my stomach looks bigger than it did yesterday. Hoping it's just normal growing pains!!

Xx

Belami · 20/12/2022 16:57

Also my due date is 9th June! Any due date twins? 🥰

firsttimelondonmummy · 20/12/2022 17:19

@tigerlily0 the long haul holiday craving is real 😭🙏🏻
My partner keeps telling me we should save for the baby and the house though. I guess he’s right… 😂

I am 1000% having a hot April holiday however.
I need that break pre becoming a mum haha.

Thanks @B1993 I think my two miscarriages this year have me worried about everything. This group is great for reassurance.hope your doing well

LT103 · 20/12/2022 17:52

@Belami welcome!! I’m 16 weeks and noticed same lst few days. Handed in a sample for midwife to send off in case infection but think it’s just stretchy pains. Having to pee so frequently too so must just be starting to squash everything. Definite change in bump this week

B1993 · 20/12/2022 18:03

@ImHopeful2023, I definitely understand this feeling after having a mc myself back in August.

I'm so anxious waiting for my 20 week scan! Less than 4 weeks to go now for me and 2 of those are going to be Christmas/ New Year madness so hopefully it should help it go a bit faster!

thedust · 20/12/2022 18:06

Belami · 20/12/2022 16:57

Also my due date is 9th June! Any due date twins? 🥰

Hi, I'm due 9th June too! But I'll be having an elective csection so it will probably be a week earlier! I've been having tummy muscle pain too, we're packing up to move house for our building work and it's been tiring.

ImHopeful2023 · 20/12/2022 18:39

Hi @Belami I feel exactly the same as you it's so scary especially after miscarriages I'm trying to stay positive. It's funny when I have no symptoms I worry when I have cramping and clear white discharge which I hear is normal but doesn't stop us worrying either way does it

ImHopeful2023 · 20/12/2022 18:41

I know think Xmas and new years will be a good distraction @B1993 I have a scan next week so hoping all is still ok sometimes I feel when scans get closer I worry more but defo have on off cramping today scared everytime I go to the bathroom

HalWin2221 · 20/12/2022 18:47

hope you are all ok! I wonder if checking the toilet/tissue with ever go away in pregnancy 🤦🏽‍♀️ we have our 12 week scan tomorrow & I’m so nervous.
If everything is ok, my OH has a 12 year old daughter so we was going to put together a box as a reveal for her/becoming a big sister present, any suggestions with what to put in it? ☺️

dresslol · 20/12/2022 18:58

@Belami @thedust my due date is the 9th June, adjusted from the 10th at my 12 week scan. I have also felt much bigger in the last few days, I can't sleep flat on my front anymore!

@firsttimelondonmummy @tigerlily0 I have a holiday scheduled in the Maldives on the 2nd March, will I be able to go? I'll be 26 weeks. Where will you look for travel insurance?
