@firsttimelondonmummy I know exactly what you mean. We just did the food shop and I just didn't fancy anything. Thankfully I have had a craving for dark purple grapes this week so I have been having those with my 400 packets of crisps 🤣 Nearly booked a scan for this morning but we have our dating scan on Tues. Trying to be patient but the anxiety is bad.

BobbySD345 · 10/12/2022 16:57

@Junebaby30 Amazing! So pleased for you x

firsttimelondonmummy · 10/12/2022 18:58

@BobbySD345 thats so exciting but I feel you.
I had a private scan literally 10 days ago before my NIPT, got my first official NHS scan a week Monday and really anxious even though 10 days ago all looked good 😭
Dont even with the crisps 🤣 I can’t stop myself.
Managed a hummus, halloumi, rocket bagel for lunch today. The first bit of green I’ve had in a while 😭

@firsttimelondonmummy bagel sounds yummy but I hope you had some crisps on the side 🤣

Zaalfruit · 10/12/2022 19:26

I think I felt a kick . I am not sure it scared me . 😂😂😂

B1993 · 10/12/2022 19:32

I can definitely relate to the beige diet… but also cannot put the sweets and chocolate down. 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

@Zaalfruit, is this your first baby? It’s a strange feeling when you first feel baby!

firsttimelondonmummy · 10/12/2022 20:12

@BobbySD345 of course 😂 Squares today haha

@B1993 its my second baby but my uterus was in a funny position in my last so I didn’t feel
anything properly till 24 weeks ! I feel like this is too early . I also forgot the whole caffeine limit when pregnant and drank three cups of coffee so not sure if the caffeine made the baby move . 😱😂

Hlc86 · 11/12/2022 10:40

I'm with you ladies on beige diet, toast crumpets and crisps have been my diet for the last 8 weeks, the thought of any other food makes me feel so queasy. Starting to get bad headaches now which I never had with my first, literally wake up with one then have it all day and nothing seems to shift it, anyone else?

BobbySD345 · 11/12/2022 12:00

@Hlc86 Sorry you have a bad head. I have always found that unless I have a UTI, my hormones in pregnancy actually keep my headaches away. I usually suffer quite badly day to day. Have they just come on and do you have any other yucky symptoms? Could always drop a urine sample into the GP incase it's a UTI causing it. Hope you feel better x

BobbySD345 · 11/12/2022 12:00

@MrsP4 how is the vertigo? Hope you're feeling better x

BobbySD345 · 11/12/2022 12:01

@Zaalfruit how many weeks are you? The midwife told me when it's not your first baby you feel movements earlier because you're more in tune to it. If you'd had caffeine maybe it was doing somersaults 🤣

I always suffer quite badly with headaches and migraine but I do usually get some rest bite from them, this one I've seem to have had for the last 10 days or so and won't budge, I know it can be common in early pregnancy but it does get me down. I'm awaiting this second trimester symptom free rumour lol

B1993 · 11/12/2022 13:39

@Zaalfruit, I bet it is baby - especially if you’ve woke them up with the caffeine 😅 Although it’s early, I read somewhere that it’s possible to feel initial movements from 12 weeks with 2nd/3rd etc. babies.

I’m certain now that I’m feeling baby - currently 15+1 so that is quite early but not uncommon. I’m looking forward to the bigger kicks now so that DH and DS can feel them, too.

tigerlily0 · 11/12/2022 15:36

I literally never eat crisps I'm not a fan but this pregnancy all I want are giant monster munch and space raiders all pickled onion. And not even the normal bags but the sharer bags. My DH is shocked.

I'm 15+4 and thankfully nausea is fully gone I'm so so happy. Still exhausted around 2pm , and iv definitely been getting fluttery feelings in my lower uterus, been feeling them all day today. Can't wait for proper kicks, my kids are going to love it

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/12/2022 16:11

Couple friends just brought a massive box of baby clothes as well as a load of bottles and baby shampoo/lotions. Their baby is 7 months and outgrown a lot so I've got a huge box of tiny baby, newborn and 0-3 months. They are also bringing us a Moses basket, next to me crib and a bouncer. Excited. If it's not a boy she'll be wearing a lot of blue clothes with dinosaurs on which I'm fine with 😀

BobbySD345 · 11/12/2022 16:18

@tigerlily0 I am on pickled onion too haha. Got some space raiders in Asda yesterday !

firsttimelondonmummy · 11/12/2022 16:19

This thread has made me feel so much better about my diet! Weeks 4-8 were fine and since then beige is my only friend 😭

Not feeing the kicks today 😂😂😂😂 I think it was the caffeine. 15 weeks 3 days @BobbySD345

EmeraldTimbers · 11/12/2022 18:51

I had my twelve week scan this week. We know the exact date of conception and I should have measured 12W4D but measured exactly 12W - did any of you experience anything similar? I’m trying not to worry 🤞🏻 We have a gender scan booked for the 23rd so will be a nice Christmas surprise.

B1993 · 11/12/2022 19:15

@EmeraldTimbers, I also know my conception date and was measuring over a week behind at both my early scans but then at the 12 week scan got dated +4 days!

They have been very careful to tell me at each of my scans that dating isn’t an exact science and there’s room for a bit of human error so dates always come with a -/+ 5 day margin.

The main thing now is that baby grows in line with the dates you’ve been given but, from what I’ve been told by midwives, a small discrepancy in dates is nothing to worry about. You may find that they catch up by your gender scan, too.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/12/2022 20:37

Yes at an early scan they took around 5 days off. At 12 week scan they took 2 off so I'm 14 weeks today.

Just used my home doppler and found heartbeat immediately. Very low on right side 😀They told me he was in the right side of uterus and I found him. So lovely hearing it.

Veryxonfused · 11/12/2022 21:20

So I was dated 4 days ahead at my 12 week scan and had a 16 week scan today and my mum asked what size the baby was. She didn’t say out loud but I saw 15 wk 3 days on the screen (tbh I didn’t want to know that). So back to measuring bang on my original due date. However I think they measured the size of the head not the body, so not a like for like comparison as I thought they measured CRL in dating scan.
Made me worry a bit that we lost 4 days, however the heartbeat is strong and I wasn’t meant to be 4 days ahead in the first place. Can anyone reassure me this is nothing to worry about? Should have had a convo with my mum before we went about the questions I did not want her to ask

Also found out we’re having a little girl despite thinking it’s a boy originally (just based off ‘skull theory’ - the skull now looks typically girly 😂). I actually originally thought it was a girl but all my family convinced me boy. Got a clear potty shot and no dangly bits and clear 3 lines so we can trust this right? I asked how sure she was and she said she’s been doing this 20+ years and she said definitely girl

C1umsyGiraffe · 12/12/2022 12:36

Hope it's okay to join! Had our 12 week scan on Friday and everything looked good, baby had the hiccups and was jumping around it was the cutest thing to see!

We'd been trying to conceive since Feb 2020, this is our first successful round of IVF after 2 failed rounds so been very tentatively excited but I think it's official now! Just can't believe it!

HasHus86 · 12/12/2022 12:59

@C1umsyGiraffe Congratulations on your pregnancy. I’m glad everything went well at your scan.

Can’t wait for my scan which is next week! Hope everything is as it should be.
