I got dated at 11 weeks and 5 days even tho I'm sure I'm only 10+2 but who am I to argue 😂

Oh, that's really early then, too early to tell I'm afraid! All nubs look girly until at least 12 weeks and then the boy ones rise between 12 and 13.5 weeks. It'll be a proper surprise for you 😊 When are you finding out?

Yeah I thought it might be too early, I will be happy with whatever so in two minds whether to find out or not. My next scan is the 7th of Feb when I will be 20 weeks and 3 days. But I am tempted to book a private one for January 😅

HasHus86 · 08/12/2022 17:11

Hey ladies!
I’m 11+4 weeks today. My 12 week scan isn’t until the 21st. I’m just wondering if any of you have experienced a lot of pressure and pulling in your lower abdomen?
I've been having a lot of pressure in my abdomen especially the last couple of days.

Yes I had that with my last pregnancy! I think it's just everything stretching to make room for growing bub!

Zaalfruit · 08/12/2022 18:37

@HasHus86 I get a lot of pressure and pain in the belly . I think it’s quite normal - unless you are at the point of where you can’t cope . Please speak to a midwife or go to A & E.

Lots of lovely scan pics !! I tried to work out if they were girls or boys . I failed miserably.

(Did someone mention on this thread - that they get headaches /migraines ? Have you been given anything mine are so bad and I can’t get a doctors appointment. )

B1993 · 08/12/2022 18:37

Welcome to the new joiners! Congratulations on your pregnancies 🎉

It's so interesting to hear all the gender predictions... I like to have ago but feel like it's just a 'gut' feeling because I cannot get to grips with the bub theory 🤣

I posted my recent scan on the last board, but would love if anyone might be able to suggest what they think for me, too! 🧐

**nub theory

although 'bub' works too, I suppose! 😋

HasHus86 · 08/12/2022 19:21

@pinkindigoviolet @Zaalfruit Thanks for the reassurance. I’m glad I’m not alone!

I’ve lately just been really scared of a MMC. I had a scan at 9 weeks and everything looked good but I’ve just been getting a lot of miscarriage stuff on the internet and I’m getting really scared.
The days until my dating scan are dragging on. I’m so jealous (and obviously happy for you guys!) of all you ladies who have had there’s. Keep me in your prayers please

BobbySD345 · 09/12/2022 14:49

@HasHus86 I feel the same. We had a scan at 10 weeks and I have my dating scan on Tuesday but the wait is awful. So much better when you can feel baby wiggling around. I've got a UTI and really struggling with it so I've had a lot of horrible pains which are always worrying. Wish private scans weren't so pricey !

MrsP4 · 09/12/2022 15:41

Hi everyone how are you all today? I had the worst night ever, woke up in the night and felt like the bed was on a roundabout everything was spinning, managed to get back to sleep woke up this morning still very dizzy was sick a few times through it might be low BP been to the doctors and I've got vertigo! If anyone has any tips to help improve it please help me! I'm so scared to go to bed tonight incase it happens again. Doctor said there's no time Fran of how long it lasts, she's given me some tablets that should help but wondered if there was anything else I could do. Never had it before the spinning feeling was like 1000 times worse than when you've had too many wines 😩

HasHus86 · 09/12/2022 16:43

@BobbySD345 aww I hope you feel better soon. I’ve had UTIs in the past and they’re not fun at all.
I can’t wait for when I can feel the baby move, it’ll be so much more reassuring.

Katie2021 · 09/12/2022 16:56

I’ve just booked a private one and it’s fallen on Christmas Eve 😍😍 so going to do a gender reveal on Christmas Eve with the fam ❤️❤️

BobbySD345 · 09/12/2022 17:17

@MrsP4 I have suffered with vertigo for over 10 years. It's absolutely awful. I'm so sorry you're suffering. Diet wise avoid caffeine and cheese and chocolate. Mainly caffeine. Meds wise they should give you some anti sickness or motion sickness tablets but not sure what you can have in pregnancy. I use Cinnarazine but thankfully haven't had to get a prescription this pregnancy. It can be brought on by stress so try to relax. Keep your head still (stating the obvious but honestly, lying still as much as you can). Hope you feel better soon and it is just a one off x

BobbySD345 · 09/12/2022 17:19

@MrsP4 The cinnarazine will make you drowsy and I get terrible restless legs with it but it's worth it to stop the room spinning 🤞🏻

B1993 · 09/12/2022 17:27

Evening ladies,

@MrsP4, sending big hugs as that sounds awful! 😩 Sorry I don't have any advice but it sounds like @BobbySD345 has some great suggestions. I hope you feel better soon. 🤞🏻

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and am certain I've been feeling baby moving now! 🥰 It seems very early but it's definitely not gas and just like those initial movements with DS. It's very reassuring so I'm starting to feel more relaxed in gengeral. I remember feeling the same way when I started to feel movements with my first.

MrsP4 · 09/12/2022 18:12

@BobbySD345 Thank you! Doctor has given me prochlorperazine days will make me tired so will take one before bed in the hope it will help me get a good nights sleep don't want to take them unless I really need to xx

DrinkingAllTheGin · 09/12/2022 18:45

Vertigo sounds horrible. Good luck.

Sadly I can't justify the cost of a private scan. Nearly 2 weeks since my scan and I am getting anxious again.
But still being sick in the morning, although not every day now.

Junebaby30 · 09/12/2022 19:00

Im 14 weeks and I have had bleeding since my 12 week scan last Friday. I feel a bit lost of what to do as when I ring the midwife support line they just tell me to monitor it. I would go for a private scan but I don’t think it’s the right place / I can’t find anywhere that seems suitable for support on why this keeps happening rather than just seeing the baby again.

Not sure if anyone can help?

BobbySD345 · 09/12/2022 19:04

@Junebaby30 If you ring the Hospital early pregnancy unit they should scan you if you have concerns over bleeding. They would at our one. I rang when I was worried after falling down the stairs and they were so kind and got me in for a scan at 7 weeks. Ring the unit. Don't suffer the anxiety xx

BobbySD345 · 09/12/2022 19:06

@Junebaby30 Sorry I meant to add they've got scan rooms in ours but also doctors on hand so I'm sure they would get someone to speak to you about the bleeding and why it happens/give you some advice xx

BobbySD345 · 09/12/2022 19:10

Just out of interest, what's everyone having for tea? I've got pickled onion monster munch and orange juice 🤣

Junebaby30 · 09/12/2022 19:33

Thank you

I have spoken to them before because I had to go for a scan at 9 weeks due to bleeding but the midwife support line put me through to them so that’s why I was calling there again but il try and ring them direct in the morning 😊

Thanks for your help xx

Zaalfruit · 10/12/2022 05:10

@Katie2021 very excited for you - what are you predicting? plus Xmas Eve great timing !

@BobbySD345 Utis are the worst - oh I hope you can ride it out and it goes away quickly . Jealous you can drink orange juice - the acid reflux this time is horrible . My dinner was white rice with sprite . My toddler and I now share the same diet - beige foods 😂😂😂😂

@MrsP4 that sounds awful and the fact that a time scale can’t be given is even more frustrating. I hope the meds kick in !

@B1993 amazing news that you can feel bubs move !! So exciting - I’m still in the in-between stage is it gas or baby moving . ( This pregnancy I have been super gassy ) my take on your picture is a boy … What are you guessing ? We should all place our predictions down for ourselves and see if we get it right ?

@Junebaby30 I second that call EPU - if that doesn’t work . Go A & E , as they normally don’t like being responsible for two heart beats so you will normally be triaged and seen quickly where they scan and doctor will see you . I hope you are okay .

@DrinkingAllTheGin Private scans are ridiculous it’s £80 up to £400, in my area , it was £35 in 2020! I am with you I hate this limbo stage between 12 weeks to 20 , where sickness starts to fade . When is your due date ? Fingers crossed you start to feel kicks soon - they feel a bit like butterfly flutters at this stage.

firsttimelondonmummy · 10/12/2022 13:59

@BobbySD345 I’ve really gone off dinner.
Really struggling to want to eat or cook anything 😭 living on beige and beige and more beige 😬 crisps, sandwiches and crumpets are all I can manage and it’s weird as I’m nearly 13 weeks.
No sickness just can’t stand certain things and hardly ever hungry 🤦🏻‍♀️

Junebaby30 · 10/12/2022 14:40

Thanks @Zaalfruit @BobbySD345 I rang EPU this morning and they were really helpful and they said they had appointments today so I went this morning for a scan and everything was fine 😊 They could not find a reason for the bleeding and said it was just normal so hopefully it stops soon 🤞

It seems obvious to ring them but because I had already rang and they had just said to monitor it I was feeling a bit lost so thanks for pushing me to ring again.
