@Dreamingof3 yes I think it is made in same factory as apitmel. Even being 8 odd quid it's still cheaper than most these days! I will try breast feed longer this time than 6 months purely due to the price of it. I only stopped last time because I went back to work but I'm self employed now so will be able to work around that.

Rose429 · 15/11/2022 20:50

Got my flu and whooping cough vaccines 2 weeks ago and Covid booster yesterday. Covid one is fine just a tiny bit sore for about 24 hours but no other side effects. The whooping cough one was sore for literally a whole 7 days like someone punched me in the arm - it was bad 😂

Room4onemore · 16/11/2022 09:08

How is everyone today? I have to take my mom to the docs this morning but then I’m back and starting to wrap my Christmas presents so I can get it out the way. My baby is 1 on the 10th December so I need to sort that as well and then I can concentrate on getting everything ready for this baby. I also need to go though my babies clothes so I can sort out what I’m keeping for this baby and what can go to charity

Dreamingof3 · 16/11/2022 09:26

@Room4onemore I'm tempted to start wrapping Christmas presents, I feel like if I leave it too long the bump will just get in the way 😂

hol92 · 16/11/2022 09:32

Probably a bit of a random post but our beloved cat died yesterday from suspected poison at just 5 years old he was mine and my husbands baby and we have taken it really bad, I don’t think I have ever been so upset in my life and am so worried that it will effect the baby is grief bad for an unborn baby? I know to some a cat is just a cat but he really meant the world to us and it’s taken away so much happiness we had x

Babynum2 · 16/11/2022 09:49

@Room4onemore aww your LO has same birthday as mine but mines a big baby she will be 9.

@hol92 I'm so sorry for your loss my dog is our first baby we had him 12 years so I completely understand. I'm sure baby will be fine, sending hugs.

havanamama · 16/11/2022 09:52

Morning!
I’ve officially reached the 24 week viability milestone as well🥰🙌

I am feeling a bit better, and have a private scan and the 25 week midwife appointment, and the John Lewis consultation in the next 2 weeks. Things are moving along!

I’ve started to nest, think about hospital bags for me and baby. I’ve got a breastfeeding and breath in labour course to go through this weekend as well.

havanamama · 16/11/2022 09:53

Question for non-FTMs, what did you wear in labour at a hospital? Do NHS provide gowns or should I get a button down nightie?

Dreamingof3 · 16/11/2022 10:26

@hol92 I'm so sorry, that's awful 😔 baby will be fine though just make sure you're looking after yourself

@havanamama I think I just took a big old t shirt 😂 whatever you think you'll be most comfortable in really

Babynum2 · 16/11/2022 11:27

@havanamama I took a nightie both times and both times I ended up in nothing but my vest top. Nothing ever goes to plan ha!

TeddyBeans · 16/11/2022 12:17

@hol92 I'm so sorry for your loss. Grief won't harm the baby, you do what you need to do lovely

@havanamama I think it's entirely your choice. I ended up in a gown because the anesthetic needed access to my spine for my epidural but until that point I was in my own nightie

OP posts:
Room4onemore · 16/11/2022 12:18

I took a massive T-shirt

TeddyBeans · 16/11/2022 12:20

@havanamama also congratulations on reaching viability! 🥳🥳

Question for non-FTMs, what did you wear in labour at a hospital? Do NHS provide gowns or should I get a button down nightie?

I Had c-sect for Dc1 so hospita gown, wore a simple nightie for dc2 & somehow ended up in a hospita gown for dc3, I think my waters breaking soaked my nightie so changed, Dc4 was a nightie.

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 16/11/2022 14:02

@Room4onemore for some reason today I feel absolutely exhausted. Like barely keeping my eyes open at work kinda tired. My body feels so heavy, I'm counting down the hours to home time at 4! How are you doing today?

Perexi · 16/11/2022 14:19

Just went to hospital for my covid booster and they gave me my whooping cough vaccine too - probably wont be able to lift my arms later 🤣

@hol92 so sorry to hear that, losing a pet it so heartbreaking.

PeonyPops · 16/11/2022 14:43

I brought 3xl mens shirts from Primark. Last baby I asked for an epi though and they gave me a gown. Didn’t get an epi in the end 😭

TeddyBeans · 16/11/2022 16:43

Has anyone started thinking about/packing hospital bags yet?

OP posts:
Cats23 · 16/11/2022 17:08

@TeddyBeans
Im only 21 weeks now but will pack one at 24 weeks ( Dc 1 was born at 27 weeks, I was in hospital at 25 though) The last 3xDc, I have also packed at 24weeks - No issues with them as all born at term.

Allthegirls3 · 16/11/2022 17:12

@Dreamingof3 how are you feeling about having 3 girls? I'm not sure I've got my head around it yet! Mine are 10 & 7, both very excited! How old are yours?

Dreamingof3 · 16/11/2022 17:15

@Allthegirls3 I couldn't imagine having a boy tbh 😂 I would've been excited either way but definitely feels normal for it to be a girl! Mine are 6 and 3 and both super excited, the youngest was absolutely refusing to even acknowledge it could've been a boy haha

TeddyBeans · 16/11/2022 17:19

@Cats23 oh gosh 27 weeks is early! 😱 I've been thinking about it since my last midwife appointment and the protein in my urine...figured it wouldn't be so bad to be prepared in case it develops into preeclampsia that comes on quickly and I need to plop off to hospital sooner than planned

havanamama · 16/11/2022 17:23

I watched a few What’s in my hospital bag YouRube videos today.
I need to do a spreadsheet first and then buy stuff

ChristmasJumpers · 16/11/2022 18:17

@hol92 I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I have cats myself and they absolutely are our babies. Baby will be fine I'm sure, take care of yourselves
