@Hopingforarainbow27 yes I am feeling little flutters and the occasional prod 🙂 nothing very regular or predictable though yet. My husband is sure he can feel too but when he says he can feel I don’t think I can so maybe we’re both just imagining it. Are you waiting for the first flutters?

@Perexi all the time! Every night I think ‘tonight’s the night I won’t fall asleep on the sofa at 8:30’ and then it happens again. We’re out for dinner tonight and bookings not until 8pm - genuinely not sure I’ll make it!

Hope everyone’s have a nice weekend ☀️

dmb91 · 08/10/2022 13:44

@Choc2022, I'm finding the opposite.. dp says I've stopped snoring! 🤷‍♀️

Hopingforarainbow27 · 08/10/2022 13:56

@Ubbee I'm the same as you, the odd prod but it's very unpredictable. I was wondering when does it get more consistent lol mine usually happens when I'm lying down!

Cdoc · 08/10/2022 14:05

@Ubbee @Hopingforarainbow27 I’m the same, 19 weeks today and only occasional flutters, mostly at night when laying down. I’m desperate to feel them properly! The wait to the 20 week scan feels forever!

Pickles23 · 08/10/2022 14:35

I'm 18+4 and have been having little flutters for a week or two (I think I'm feeling them slightly more often as time goes on). Can't wait for some proper kicks!

SammyJay5 · 08/10/2022 15:15

@Choc2022 I’m part of the hairy belly crew too! Mine are really thick and dark, mainly around the bottom of my belly button 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’ve been feeling flutters too, mainly when I’m not really doing anything like when I’m laid in bed at night or just relaxing watching TV. I keep putting my hand on my bump to see if I can feel them from the outside, there’s been a couple of times I’ve thought I can but I’m not 100% sure if it was or not 😬

Eastybaby19 · 08/10/2022 16:17

I'm 19 weeks today 2nd baby and movements have been starting to go into a pattern, starting feeling movements around 15/16 weeks. Hubby felt him last night too and caught a few of kicks on camera 🥰 I had an anterior placenta last time so didn't feel anything til about 20 weeks hubby didn't feel him until 23 weeks. It's the best feeling in the world ❤️

Baby2iscooking · 08/10/2022 17:42

Hi I’m a bit late to to find this chat hope it’s ok to join.
I am 15 weeks, 2 days and due 31st March.
i haven’t felt movement yet which everyone keeps telling me is unusual for a second pregnancy, But it is still early days I guess.
Suffering with sinusitis at the moment which is driving me mad

alotoftutus · 08/10/2022 21:18

@Baby2iscooking hi welcome to the group.

I think 15 weeks is still early. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow with baby number 5 and haven't felt anything yet. X

alotoftutus · 08/10/2022 21:21

@Perexi I'm still exhausted. DH went away today for 5 weeks with work 😩 it will just be me and my 4 DC - I honestly don't know how I'm going to function. My eldest is out tonight for a scouts event. He's being dropped back at 11pm and I've had to set an alarm to let him in because I'm struggling to stay awake. I'm usually a night owl, but have been getting into bed and sleeping before 9pm most nights since I was about 6 weeks pregnant. I definitely don't have the second trimester energy yet!

Splashh · 08/10/2022 21:50

@Hopingforarainbow27 I'm 18+4 1st baby but still not feeling any proper movement. I do feel flutters/bubbles, and every night this week we've been trying this thing where hubby puts his ear to my tummy, he hears either nothing or very few bubbles, but then as soon as he starts talking to the bump he hears loads more bubbles! So we think that's the baby responding to his voice!

@Perexi also feeling very tired and sleeping 9 hours at night.

This last week I've also needed a 4th meal every day, and get much more hungry at night time.

Place marking

iratepirate · 09/10/2022 01:13

Goodness, I’m exhausted. Been to a wedding this evening and I was worried I wouldn’t make it without falling asleep.

Had to try to subtly ditch my Prosecco too. 😐

LittleAcorn20 · 09/10/2022 07:47

@Baby2iscooking don't panic about it. A lady in my antenatal yoga group is on baby number two and couldn't feel movement right up to 20 wk scan. Discovered she had a low lying anterior placenta, hence why. Which she didn't have with her first. And often that sorts itself out before delivery anyway ☺️ just means a bit less feeling baby which is sad I suppose.

Baby2iscooking · 09/10/2022 08:20

my friend was the same had anterior placenta, couldn’t feel much movement the whole way through. With my first she was so wriggly and could feel her the whole time constantly which was lovely.
I wish I had my appetite back I’m still not quite there

SammyJay5 · 09/10/2022 10:28

@LittleAcorn20 @Baby2iscooking at risk of sounding a bit silly, when do they tell you where the placenta is? Or do they only tell you if it’s somewhere that means you might not feel movements as much or something?

pamplemousse19 · 09/10/2022 11:20

Hi everyone, I’ve been a lurker for a while but finally posting - hope it’s not too late to join in! I’m due on March 3rd with my first baby, which is a baby girl 💖 (we had a private gender scan at 18 weeks because I am too impatient for my 20 week NHS one! 😂). Please could I be added to the list of due dates?

I’m 19 + 2 now and have felt a few flutters here and there but they are quite subtle and I only really notice them when I am sitting still or lying down, mostly in the evenings. Hoping to feel some more obvious movements soon! 🤞🏻

I’m going on a long haul trip for work to the USA in a couple of weeks time when I will be 21 weeks, but I’m generally feeling fine at the moment so hopefully it will be ok!

Hope everyone is doing well! 😊

Baby2iscooking · 09/10/2022 11:46

I think they only tell you if it is anterior, I hadn’t been told with dd1 so I asked and she told me if was posterior but that was after checking the notes

TeddyBeans · 09/10/2022 11:54

Agree with being exhausted! I'm usually up at 7.30 latest on the weekends due to DS but I'm struggling with that. He's been at his dad's this weekend and I've been sleeping in til 9-9.30 after having earlier than usual nights too. So glad I'm going on maternity at Xmas, going to be sleeping a lot during the day while DS is at school I think 🥱🥱🥱

Hi @TeddyBeans thanks for new thread. I've been MIA for a while, was too busy to keep upto date lol. Due 24th March 💛

hellosunshineagainxxx · 09/10/2022 12:28

Can you add me to due date of the 19th please?

hellosunshineagainxxx · 09/10/2022 12:28

Oh and its a boy!

hellosunshineagainxxx · 09/10/2022 12:30

Baby2iscooking · 09/10/2022 11:46

I think it's just random if they tell you as they didn't tell me with either pregnancy and I have been anterior with both which I just found on my notes

LittleAcorn20 · 09/10/2022 13:36

@SammyJay5 they check the placenta and it's positioning as part the 20 week scan. I don't know if they always tell you though where it is.
But, if it is low lying then they tell you because they have to rescan closer to due date to see if it has moved because with a low lying placenta you cannot have a natural birth I don't believe, only C-section.
