@cheekysausage they are a nightmare for updating it! My results never got put up from 8 week appointment until my 12 week scan yesterday when I mentioned it. They "forgot to press the button"

Springblooms08 · 05/10/2022 13:16

Hope everyone’s doing okay today! I’m 12w today and properly knackered today. Bring on that supposed second trimester energy!

for anybody thinking of doing NCT classes, when are you planning to book? I was thinking of booking on soon but wasn’t sure if that’s what most people do?

LauraA31 · 05/10/2022 13:27

Hope everybody is ok!

Im 11 weeks today, and been hit with an overwhelming sense of worry! I have my scan tomorrow morning but so scared that something has gone wrong between 9 weeks and now 🤦🏼‍♀️
Boyfriend is telling me not to worry but it seems so strange to be 11 weeks, I think it’ll get easier the further i am and i will be able to see changes/feel changes ha!

It’s been lovely seeing all the scans!

Anyone on Badger Notes…I had my booking app 21/09 and had my blood pressure, blood tests etc done and was told the results would be uploaded to the app. Checked today and there is still nothing. Anyone had any experience with how long it takes?

Bloody ages in my experience. Had my 1st trimester scan yesterday and still nothing has been uploaded!

Biscuitsplease · 05/10/2022 14:42

@Springblooms08 I booked NCT classes last week for Feb time. I could choose between two towns near me and have preference between them, and the course that was best suited to my due date and in preferred town already had bookings so I booked to guarantee a space!

Springblooms08 · 05/10/2022 14:44

@Biscuitsplease ahh that’s great! The course I was looking at finishes at the end of March and I’m due 20th April - it says it’s an ideal match but that seems quite close?

Skylark1990 · 05/10/2022 14:57

@Springblooms08 I think I booked NCT when I was about 20 weeks but can't remember! If they tend to book up quickly in your area it's a good idea to book sooner I guess.
I did it when I was 35 weeks which was a good time! Id already done the PBC digital hypnobirthing course by then so felt I had some birth prep up my sleeve already, and I also did a la leche league breastfeeding course (also online and free!) After NCT, both of which I'd thriroughly recommend in addition to NCT!
NCT was great for making local friends and they also have great info for birth and infant feeding x

@Skylark1990 ah great thanks so much - it’s good to know that’s roughly about the right time to do the classes as I wasn’t sure. Those extra courses sound fab too - I’ll definitely look into those!

Biscuitsplease · 05/10/2022 15:02

@Springblooms08 Mine is similar timing but maybe slightly longer. My final session is 28th Feb and I'm due 2nd April. On the NCT website it says the final session should be 3-7 weeks before due date, or still okay timing would be 2-9 weeks before due date. I think the primary reason is so people in the group are due the same time as you, so I think your timing will be okay.

Pommy1 · 05/10/2022 16:48

That’sa lovely idea to make new momma friends locally, I hadn’t thought of that with NCT classes.

where are you all based? Maybe some of us are near each other? 😍

Springblooms08 · 05/10/2022 17:06

@Biscuitsplease amazing, thank you. Going to go ahead and book!

J1290 · 05/10/2022 17:48

DBS94 · 06/10/2022 06:35

Sorry to being negativity to here ladies, just need somewhere to vent. I'm having a bit of a down few days and struggling majorly. Does anyone else have quite back health anxiety since falling pregnant or even before? In general I'm a very positive person and nothing really gets me down but since falling pregnant Omg the health anxiety is ridiculous, my latest panic is that my smear text will be a year over due before I can have it and with previous CIN3 cells I'm can't do anything other than worry! Anyone have any tips of controlling it? It's made worse by working from home, I have more time on my hands to over think!! X

limoncelloo · 06/10/2022 07:06

@J1290 looks like a girly nub to me! Same as my 12 week scan and now been confirmed as a girl 👧💗

LauraA31 · 06/10/2022 07:12

@DBS94 i know exactly how you feel; im usually so positive and try see the best in any situation but since finding out im pregnant im so anxious about every small thing.
Yesterday i had a pain in my bum cheek and into the top of my groin, was like a pulled muscle but i let myself massively overthink it and it got me really upset. I find it worse through the night, im still struggling with sleep and when im awake all the horrible anxious thoughts come and it is really hard.

I have just tried to occupy myself when i start to spiral, it’s easier said than done but i play a game or take the dog for a walk or watch something i need to focus on and that seems to help me because my mind is on something else.. it’s really a horrible thing to be feeling, i feel so bad im letting it take control of my pregnancy because im so worried all the time something is happening bad!
I really hope it gets better for us both, but if not im here for a chat! X

LauraA31 · 06/10/2022 07:14

Morning ladies!

Up and ready getting ready for our scan, im so nervous today! The midwife said they would likely do bloods again (i think they’ll invite me back im only 11+1) but im so scared for the bloods.. they had the hardest time getting blood from me last time! Took them 6 attempts in different places 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hope everybody with scans today gets on well and i will post a pic should we get some :) x

Skylark1990 · 06/10/2022 07:23

Hey all, best of luck for your scans today! Mine is this morning, had a mega nightmare about high downs risk etc and just woke up from it. Gosh these scans bring excitement but also stress!

@DBS94 I've had cin1 and 2 before. I didn't have the letz procedure and they had cleared up by the next year. I then had abnormal again a couple years later, again they'd cleared up a year later and I've had nothing since (that was about 5 years ago). I think they do a yearly test for two years (?) After abnormal then it goes back to 3 years once you have the normal result twice in a row? Anyway. If you've had letz then I would really try not to worry. They will have got all the cells off. Have you had any tests since? If you've had a clear one since then again, this is great. And you can get the smear after you've given birth so it'll only be another 7 months or so to wait. Try to eat well and avoid alcohol/ smoking (that part is totally easy when pregnant right!) And this will help too! But honestly don't worry I have a few friends who have had letz and they never came back.

I do get health anxiety, I am an anxious person generally and I'm also very health conscious. But we can only do what's in our control. You can get mental health support while pregnant, do talk to your midwife as they can refer you for talk therapy x
