@EL8888 amazing! 💕💕

lj2022 · 04/10/2022 17:50

@EL8888 oh congratulations how exciting ❤️ fraternal or identical ? You must be so excited

Cuppasoupmonster · 04/10/2022 17:51

Wow twins congratulations! Are these your first babies? 💕

lj2022 · 04/10/2022 17:54

@Chocolat @MrsC2018 oh that's great to hear. I'm over my wobble now and actually feel really silly at feeling a little disappointed especially as it's not confirmed but I keep thinking of my friends with sons and I absolutely adore every one of them so I know baby will be a ray of sunshine whatever it is and I'll love it unconditionally
! Your son sounds like such a lovely boy, laughing at him being so happy over hairspray but I remember being that age looks are what is important 😂

Glad your scan went well too @MrsC2018

EL8888 · 04/10/2022 18:29

Thanks for the congrats! Fraternal. First children after years of infertility, they are the result of our 3rd round of IVF

EL8888 · 04/10/2022 18:30

When l was on clexane then l found in my bin least painful and bruisy. But lm guessing that only possible if you’re not doing the injecting!

Cuppasoupmonster · 04/10/2022 18:45

Don’t worry @lj2022 ! I was convinced I was having another girl but after today’s scan I’m pretty sure it’s a boy - my family is also girl-heavy and, to be honest, I don’t have a great relationship with my dad so don’t have a good example of men within a family if that makes sense.

But, I love DH to bits and would be thrilled to have a son like him! I need to stop projecting my family drama onto my unborn child I think! I know if somebody told me he would be healthy and lovely I would have no issues at all xxx

chasingtherainbow1 · 04/10/2022 18:46

Congratulations on all the lovely scans today!

I got my downs screening back which was 1/4700 which said it is low. I don't really know what the average is but happy that it seems to be ok!

Got a abdominal scan on Thursday morning for something else and I'm hoping they will have a sneak look at baby too whilst I'm there but I'm guessing they won't. I'll try convince them to have a quick look 😂

Wow! I think fraternal is the best type isn’t it in terms of health etc? Congratulations!

MrsC2018 · 04/10/2022 18:48

@EL8888 congratulations! My 2 year old was IVF after lots of failure, there's nothing quite like seeing those lines after a long journey to get there 💕
@lj2022 not silly at all, it's perfectly normal to have a preference for what is still a concept. You will think your child is wonderful though either way, think we're programmed that way probably!

simplythequest · 04/10/2022 19:07

@Skylark1990 thanks for the info! I actually found that the omeprazole made the biggest improvement, but apparently the whole issue is compounded and therefore made worse by constipation 🙄 so now treating both and waiting for improvement to appear. Oh the wonders and glories of pregnancy!

I just did the mother of all burps - so loud that the student my husband is currently teaching online heard it from across the other side of the room. I could just die of embarrassment 😭

1stimer16 · 04/10/2022 19:46

Checking in

Pommy1 · 04/10/2022 21:12

I’ve loved seeing your scans ladies! Thanks for sharing.

The idea of a WhatsApp group is wonderful. Even after birth and we are the only people up at 3am and sober 🤣

Tubbytele · 04/10/2022 21:36

Amazing scan pics!

The burping thing sounds like kind of thing l would do. But my farting is something lm bad for at the moment

EL8888 · 04/10/2022 22:06

@MrsC2018 the whole thing still feels like a dream / delusion to be honest!

DBS94 · 05/10/2022 05:54

@EL8888 me too!! I am sooo gassy atm, not burping but definitely trumping especially in the morning. Got some laxatives from the GP so hoping that helps

Pommy1 · 05/10/2022 06:17

@MrsC2018 same! I was told I couldnt have children and 6 weeks later I was sat in Starbucks screaming a across the room with my plastic stick in my hand 🤣🤣🤣

Tropicana1 · 05/10/2022 07:58

Found the new thread! Just posted this in the old thread so just re posting

Hey ladies! Mumsnet app not been working on my phone so just caught up now, so very delayed reply but @Skylark1990 my DD potty trained herself with basically no input from us at all at 2.5, she knew what the potty was etc but we just didn't push it and basically went on holiday, she spent the whole week running around by the pool naked (private villa) and asked to use the toilet every time she needed to go. Moved her straight into pants when we got home and no more nappies since other thank bed time

Got summoned for jury duty when my 20 week scan is due so I've applied to be excused and hope they will! 12 week scan this weekend!

MrsC2018 · 05/10/2022 08:48

@Pommy1 I'm very lucky, my son was conceived no problem and without intervention. But then my daughter was 4 years and 5 IVF failures and no idea why. Then my last 2 conceived again without issue within 7 months of each other, so bizarre what went on in those years!
@EL8888 it's still an absolute shock to see 2 lines and I've had 3 pregnancies since the "barren years" I'll never get out of that mindset I think. I absolutely do not want anymore children but think I'll struggle to go on contraception and say no definitively. It's changed me, but not all in a bad way, when I'm exhausted from throwing up and being awake with a toddler I just remember how fortunate I am and how I've got exactly what I wanted and it feels much easier.

Skylark1990 · 05/10/2022 09:29

@Tropicana1 thank you and also thank you everyone else who shared their potty training experiences! We have decided DD isn't quite ready, have ordered a second potty so we have one upstairs and downstairs (also have two toilet seat attachments!) And will just try to expose her to the idea lots then try again in a few months 😊 no rush, eh! Although be nice not to be changing two sets of nappies come April! 😂

@EL8888 huge congratulations on the twins!!! 💕💕💕

@lj2022 annoyingly I couldn't see the pic properly where the nub is as Mumsnet picture arrows were over it! But I'm glad you're feeling better - and sounds it was just a passing feeling of slight disappointment anyway. Don't feel bad though, it's very natural to have a preference. I have always wanted a daughter and if DD hadn't been a girl I would have had to get my head around it, simply cos I had always imagined a girl. Similar to @Cuppasoupmonster I don't have a strong father figure in my life or any brothers so I'm just more of a girls girl!

@MrsC2018 goodness me, what a journey! Wonderful turn out in the end for you 🤗

i was told I didn’t have any eggs and AMH was undetectable but there must have been one hiding in there! 😀

DBS94 · 05/10/2022 12:36

Love hearing all these stories it's so lovely to see everyone's journey xx

Has anyone been treated for CIN3 cells previously? I just got all my records through before my consultant appointment in 2 weeks and didn't realise it was CIN3 it was originally told to me CIN1 follow up. My last smear was 3 years ago and is now overdue. Last one came back with no issues though after treatment so I'm hoping everything is okay as I can't have check up smear whilst pregnant!

cheekysausage · 05/10/2022 12:39

Anyone on Badger Notes…I had my booking app 21/09 and had my blood pressure, blood tests etc done and was told the results would be uploaded to the app. Checked today and there is still nothing. Anyone had any experience with how long it takes?
