Sorry @1stimer16 I missed your post, what a lovely picture 💕 When’s your 12 week scan? I’m rubbish at nubs so won’t wade in on that!

1stimer16 · 08/10/2022 18:37

@AliceinSlumberland my 12 week scan is on Thursday but felt some cramps today and obviously got crazy anxious and booked last minute appointment!

DBS94 · 08/10/2022 18:43

Has anyone been to a chiropractor since being pregnant? I was seeing one before I fell pregnant to help with stiff hip and back. I stopped when I found out I was pregnant but thinking now in second trimester it may help things? I'll phone her Monday to double check but just wanted to see if anyone had been/plan on going x

Cuppasoupmonster · 08/10/2022 19:24

@Babyonemoretimek @1stimer16 guessing boy for both 💙 💙

LauraA31 · 08/10/2022 19:28

Evening ladies, i hope everybody is ok!

I have develop two new symptoms the last three days- headache and brain fog 😂
I have told my boyfriend three times i need to get ready for school (not work!) and in work ive booked days off for appointments when im not even working the days ive requested 🤦🏼‍♀️
I am so forgetful and confused haha, headaches arent worrying me too much because they are only when ive not drank enough or looked at a screen too long and they go on their own with no medication so im not worried.. I do hope my brain functions again soon though haha!

So nice to see all the scans, counting down the days until our next one! X

DBS94 · 08/10/2022 19:36

@LauraA31 I can totally relate to the brain fog!! I stop a sentence half way forgetting what I was in the middle of saying, it's craaaazy!!

Wisher88 · 08/10/2022 19:43

Some lovely scan photos being posted this weekend, congratulations!!!
My NHS one isn't until I'm 12wks 6ds, on 18th Oct which feels ages away. I'll be 12 weeks in a few days so it feels annoying to be waiting a week longer.
Even though I had a private scan two weeks ago it feels like so long ago. I'm mostly just nosey and want to see all the developments, what's changing each week etc feels unnatural not to know!!

Springblooms08 · 08/10/2022 19:48

I’ve also had quite a lot of what I think is round ligament pain today. I’d describe it as short sharp pains quite low down, but it’s quite frequent. Does that ring true to those of you who have it too?

AliceinSlumberland · 08/10/2022 19:55

@Springblooms08 thats exactly what I’ve been having in exactly that location, also to one side I’d say. Very quick sharp pain.

@1stimer16 I completely relate, I was tempted to book a private one this weekend and mine is on Monday 😂 I didn’t because I’m skint!!

@Wisher88 I know the feeling, I’ll be 12w 5d on mine on Monday, and at my private ones I’ve measured ahead so possibly slightly more. I’m just hoping I’ll get a good nub shot as a result, knowing my luck it won’t be in the picture

KennAdams · 08/10/2022 19:55

Yes @Springblooms08 I find I get it when I sneeze or move too quickly/suddenly when changing position.

It's bloody painful. Reminds me of a stich but really low down.

Springblooms08 · 08/10/2022 20:02

@AliceinSlumberland @KennAdams thanks both, that’s really reassuring. I’m probably focusing on it more than I normally would as DH is away for the weekend and I’m having a night in on my own watching strictly 😂

DBS94 · 08/10/2022 20:05

@Springblooms08 yes, me! Mine is like that inside and also around my pubic bone, or bad enough to make me flinch but definitely can feel it and lasts a few seconds at a time

Cuppasoupmonster · 08/10/2022 20:05

I’ve had some twingy low down pains today. I wouldn’t worry unless they were very very strong and regular xx

@DBS94 i see my chiro weekly. I can feel that the relaxing hormone is kicking in, even from very early on. I need more adjustment than usual, but re-adjust super easily as everything is more mobile. Hormones are doing their job but also making me come out of alignment more easily.

i have a large role up towel above my boobs to take the pressure off my gigantic boobs haha, and when you get a bump they have a special cushion with a hole in it. They also use the gun to put your mid back back in so there’s no pressure on your tummy.

i found my S1 when I’m adjusted on my side a bit uncomfortable as it’s a bit a stretchy at the moment but other than that, it’s all good stuff.

i also do acupuncture and acupressure once a week. Pre-pregnancy I was having sports massage and physio but have stopped those.

@Wisher88 my first nhs scan is week 14 and I only have a stick from boots to tell me I’m pregnant until then 🤣 So we went private and also got the NIPT test done early.

DBS94 · 08/10/2022 20:51

@Pommy1 brill, thank you! My pelvis has always been a bit to whack as I work from home a lot and it often needs realigned. It's good to know you're sticking at it I'm going to contact on Monday and try to go regularly as I feel like my body will definitely get more aches and pains along the way!! X

Pommy1 · 08/10/2022 21:09

@DBS94 my chiro says it really puts you on a good position post birth as the relaxing hormones plus baby weight really twist and bend you so saves having to have that intense quantity of readjustments (and also expensive). Xx

Pommy1 · 08/10/2022 21:10

@DBS94 p.s I didn’t now babies really benefit too until recently. There’s a baby at my clinic who’s has their hearing improved even. I didn’t even know it was a thing. I don’t know why as it makes sense early, right? Clever stuff.

ScottyandGeorge · 09/10/2022 07:50

Hi everyone, have been reading from the beginning but stupidly superstitious until the 12 week scan. If anyone would like to guess the sex just for fun please do! Measuring bang on 11+6

@Cuppasoupmonster I’ve had some pulling twinges as well, nothing too bad just haven’t felt many pains or cramps before so was a bit of a worry but sonographer said all looked ok!

Ahh you think boy, my OH will be pleased if that’s true lol!

Peachesthecat · 09/10/2022 08:05

Morning ❤️ Would like to join! Due 25th April! I’ll be having my scan on the 18th when I’ll be 13 + 1 so that’s annoying! Really scared as I’m 40 and already worrying about nt measurements and stuff ☹️Hopefully all will be okay 🤷‍♀️ Xxx

AliceinSlumberland · 09/10/2022 08:38

Morning and welcome @ScottyandGeorge and @Peachesthecat !

Random one, I’ve had almost like pins and needs in my left leg most of the nignt, it’s not awful by any means and can still walk on it but it’s noticeable. Google seems to think it could just be things shifting about and perhaps touching a nerve but has anyone else ever experienced similar? Not sure whether to be worried or not.

DBS94 · 09/10/2022 09:01

@Pommy1 I've seen lots of this online too! Babies go through a lot during birth so a chiro can work wonders!

@AliceinSlumberland I get this in my right leg! Even before pregnancy, I get bad back and hip and whenever it flares up my leg gets achy and tingly xx

Tropicana1 · 09/10/2022 10:08

Scan went well 😊 been moved forwards by. 2 days so new EDD is 20th April.

Any nub guesses? @Skylark1990 @Cuppasoupmonster resident nub guessers 🤣 or anyone that knows nub theory at all!
