I'm getting some round ligament pain too, mostly when I get up off the sofa, so I'm trying to stand up slowly.

Someone mentioned being scared of pain following c section... I wouldn't describe myself as in pain following it at any time, apart from when I either laughed or sneezed. Sore, yes, but in pain, no. The labour contractions that I quickly snuffed out with an epidural on the other hand, those I would definitely describe as painful!

Releasethehoundss · 09/10/2022 12:39

Ladies,
Anyone suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome?
I had the release surgeries on both wrists after my last was born but now that my blood volume has increased... Whew! Its coming back with a vengeance... Haven't felt so much as a tingle up til now in the last 5 years... Guess its back to wearing splints...

lj2022 · 09/10/2022 12:44

So nice seeing everyone's scans! Not be long until we're all finding out what we're having if anyones like me and impatient and booked a 16 week scan to find out.

Is anyone struggling with knowing what to wear now that their body is changing ? Things are starting to get a bit tight and honestly just don't know how to dress

limoncelloo · 09/10/2022 12:53

@Tropicana1 congrats! And looks like a girly nub to me x

Tropicana1 · 09/10/2022 14:23

Ooh one guess of each @Cuppasoupmonster @limoncelloo

DH is secretly desperate for a boy I think, although says he doesn't really mind, I know he would love it to be a boy. I'm in the lucky position of really not minding either way as we have a little girl so one of each would be nice but also love the idea of two little sisters (and reusing all my clothes 🤣).

Emeal123 · 09/10/2022 14:40

@Releasethehoundss i had carpel tunnel when pregnant with my son it was awful but luckily never happened again following his birth! I can slowly feel it creeping back in now and dreading it! It’s worse at night time and I wake up with numb tingly hands, it’s not too painful yet 🤞🏻 I don’t have much advice to offer you though I’m expecting to be back in the wrist splints too!

chasingtherainbow1 · 09/10/2022 15:30

@lj2022 I have booked a gender scan, it's on 21st! I am also really struggling f with clothes atm. Feels to early to be buying maternity but I'm so uncomfortable on my normal clothes now

lj2022 · 09/10/2022 15:33

@chasingtherainbow1 ahh how exciting mines is booked for the 23rd! That's exactly how I feel. I want to buy some leggings but it feels so hard to find good quality thick leggings I'm hoping just big leggings and knitwear and boots for winter comfy and roomy just need to find decent leggings. I'm usually a jeans girl but they just don't feel as comfy now

DBS94 · 09/10/2022 15:45

Tesco £6 leggings are brilliant! I've not got a proper bump yet but definitely got that mega bloated feel. I bought them in a size up and they're good quality and not see through and sooo comfy x living in those and baggy T-shirts and hoodies x

Dragonfly909 · 09/10/2022 15:47

Hi all, hope everyone is doing OK? This is my second pregnancy and although I felt constantly sick last time, this time I've actually been sick more often, although not daily. I'm nearly 12 weeks and today can't keep any food or drink down at all 🤮 I assume it must be a stomach bug or something as it's come on so suddenly rather than morning sickness getting worse. Has anyone had this and what did you do? I'm going to phone the midwife tomorrow if there's no improvement as I'm worried about getting dehydrated 😫

PuddingBear · 09/10/2022 15:47

I love the Primark leggings! I usually buy them anyway at 2XS and sized up to M by the very end of my last pregnancy.

At £2.50 a pair you can’t go far wrong!

lj2022 · 09/10/2022 16:49

@PuddingBear I have a lot of cellulite so the thin ones sadly don't cut it for me 😩 need thick ones or else I just look all wobbly haha

lj2022 · 09/10/2022 16:49

@DBS94 oh I'll check them out! Apparently primark fleece lined ones are amazing but so hard to get as they went viral on tiktok 🙄

Springblooms08 · 09/10/2022 16:51

@lj2022 I’ve got a pair of maternity leggings from love leggings which are really thick and comfy and also Asos 4505 ones are really nice and thick. I’m also living in leggings and jumpers for the forseeable!

lj2022 · 09/10/2022 16:52

@Springblooms08 aw amazing thanks so much I'll check them out! I bought loads of nice jumpers and long shirts from primark the other day just need the leggings to hopefully feel good and slightly stylish again 😂

Springblooms08 · 09/10/2022 16:55

@lj2022 i totally know what you mean, it’s such a difficult time to know what to wear! The love leggings ones are good as they’re very stretchy so they fit fine now but I think they’ll last as I get bigger too. I also thought midi length jumper dresses could be a good option - I was having a look on new look last night and they have some nice maternity ones which again I think will be good for now and later

AliceinSlumberland · 09/10/2022 17:03

@lj2022 yessss I’m struggling a bit with clothes especially work ones, not because stuff doesn’t fit necessarily but more that it’s uncomfy. I don’t like anything pressing my belly and I definitely feel tubbier although there’s no bump to speak of. I’m going to go next weekend and hopefully find some nice thick leggings and also buy some pjs a couple of sizes up so too as I just love being comfy.

Cuppasoupmonster · 09/10/2022 17:05

My winter pregnancy wardrobe will consist of stretchy jumper dresses with leggings or maternity tights. I’ll probably buy a pair of maternity jeans just because we’re planning a few outdoorsy type activities over Christmas and don’t want to freeze! DH bought me some Uggs recently so at least my achey feet will be nice and cosy.

appleandcheese · 09/10/2022 17:08

I'd definitely recommend H&M for maternity clothes, and they have them in store, which I found useful as hate online shopping. I gave in and bought some last weekend even though quite early, and I'm so glad I did, as the trouser etc are super comfy! It's so much nicer having room for growing tummy, even if not showing too much just yet.

Emeal123 · 09/10/2022 18:33

I’m living in leggings and soooo glad it’s heading into jumper season now! Leggings and big jumpers all the time for me lol. Luckily I only go into the office at work 1 day a week and so far I’ve managed to wear tights and a loose dress each time.

Anyone else pee a bit every time they cough/sneeze? 🤣

Chocolat · 09/10/2022 18:41

I am also planning on living in leggings and jumpers, the weather is almost there 😅

DBS94 · 09/10/2022 18:49

@Emeal123 exactly the same as me. I'm in the office one day per week and then dress like a slob the rest 😂 I don't pee when I sneeze but im peeing sooo much more! Feel like the urgency to pee is more frequent too

Tropicana1 · 09/10/2022 18:56

@Springblooms08 oh I saw an advert for love leggings but wasn't sure if they'd be good

lj2022 · 09/10/2022 19:14

Love that we all seem to be on the same page on winter wardrobe 😂 suppose that's the pro side of being pregnant over winter/Christmas.

On the other hand I just had my first hormonal raging meltdown over making a lasagne 🤦🏻‍♀️ I now feel like I overdid it and a little bad at the silent treatment I gave my other half but in the moment it definitely felt justified

Springblooms08 · 09/10/2022 19:40

@Tropicana1 i saw so many ads for them as well! I tried on a friends’ pair who is currently 8m pregnant and they were so comfy I bought my own
