OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2008 15:10

had one at 9dpo on sunday. i know im over-analysing and i should try to relax, but im freaking out!

EllieG · 05/02/2008 15:13

Just breathe hon - it's horrid but there ain't anything you can do but wait now. Being sick etc good sign I think as stronger symptoms means still PG. Thinking of you lady and have everything crossed x

hunofmonsters · 05/02/2008 15:51

lissie....every single niggle must eb more of a worry for you

brown is old, borwn could be implantation.

FWIW, i had a 2 day period with this one...the proper kind as well but being sick is a good sign also, my back ached all the way thru this pg and i even had one sided abdo pain for extra worry!

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2008 16:06

thanks, calming down a little bit now.

kate2179 · 05/02/2008 16:29

Lissie I know you've had a REALLY tough time, but you know that you're absolutely right about SO MANY women having back ache and brown discharge around af time. Look at me. 2 days of brown discharge last mon and tue, blood tests showed falling hormone levels and scan today showed a seemingly healthy bean! Next friday seems a lifetime away to me too, have no idea how I'm going to wait til my next scan (whenever that is), and totally understand how difficult it is wanting to be positive and excited but being so so scared. YOU WILL GET THERE though. Am I right in thinking you're under LWH? From all I've heard you'll be getting the best possible care and this pg has to have the best odds it possibly could of succeeding for you. Take care xx

Joolz keeping everything crossed for you, xx

Goingfor3 yes, it is me with the cyclogest. Am planning to keep taking it til I run out/someone tells me not to! How long did you take it for? No idea if it's doing anything, but not about to stop now! I spoke to a doctor earlier (my doc is off today) who was very positive. Said all the things we already know about what good signs seeing a hb and measuring right for dates are, but the things we love to be told anyway ! Am planning to get a scan (privately if I have to) half way between now and my nuchal... No idea how I will wait that long!

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages

goingfor3 · 05/02/2008 16:36

Kate, I took cyclogest until nearly 14 weeks as by them my placenta had certainly kicked in and took over the progesterone making. Usually women take it until about 12 weeks. Good luck with the next scan, 2 1/2 weeks will be half way between now and the nuchal won't it but yes it will probably really drag.

Lissie not sure what I can say as you know what you would say to others, it's all normal. You are not wek you feel the same any of us would in your situation.

Julezboo · 05/02/2008 16:46

Hey girls

Lissie I totally understadn your worry and that your frightened. Take another test if it helps reassure you but dont over analyse the darkness of the line cos it measn nothing.

Well my scan had totally changed from yesterday, bleeding is coming from a haematoma behind the preg sac, and they saw a yolk sac in the preg sac whicn is encouraging she said, my sac is an odd shape though, well she couldnt maker her mind up whether it was two sacs or just one big one. Gotta go see my cons on fri and will hopefully know more.

Im still bleeding and still inpain but I had this with Adam so im more relaxed this time xxx

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2008 16:49

im so pleased for you julezboo xx

and thanks girls, helps to come here and rant to people who understand!

goingfor3 · 05/02/2008 17:24

Julez, great news about the bleeding. If there are two sacs does that mean twins!

splishsplosh · 05/02/2008 19:12

Juleboo - so glad the scan as reassuring

Kate - that is such great news after you were so certain it had all gone wrong

Lissie - no wonder you're stressed, but as everyone says, what you're experiencing is totally normal. All you can do is try and think positively, and do all you can to look after you and your little bean

I saw the GP today, she was sympathetic to me asking for an early scan, but said she can request one, but the epu prioritise women who are having pain/bleeding, so she didn't know whether or not I would get one. Our local epu only accepts faxed referrals, even from A&E, so it's impossible to get through to them yourself.

bethoo · 05/02/2008 20:43

Julezboo - excellent news. not all bleeding means m/c.

sweetkitty · 05/02/2008 20:59

wow so much to catch up with feel like I have been away for ever

Am 17+5 weeks today, little pumpkin is very active and we will be having a scan soon, still so at having to pay for it, I was booked in for a scan today but since I was "lucky" enough to have bleeding at 10 weeks and got a scan finally at 13 I have had all my scans I get here so no 20 week scan

jules - I am eating for about 6 right now since my appetite finally came back about a week ago

lissie - nice to see you here, hope you get snuggled in for the duration

kate - great news will keep everything and anything crossed for you x

Julezboo - glad you feel a bit more reassured like kate will be keeping everything crossed for you too

spilshsplosh - can't believe you can't get an early scan even I did with my rubbish HNS Trust, have you thought about going private costly I know but at least it would go some to putting your mind at ease

big fat hellos to everyone else I have missed off I haven't forgotten you all honestly

Janus · 05/02/2008 21:29

OK, I moved house about 12 days ago and bloody computer only just working, I cannot cope with this overload of information!

Firstly, MrsMc, ya-hoo, can't believe how many times I've thought 'I wonder if MrsMc has had her baby' in last days! I hope you are having a wonderful time.

Lissie, hello there, as you and others have said, brown blood is scary but is actually quite normal at this stage. It's so good to see you back here, hang on in there.

MOM, so glad your placenta has sorted itself, bit of a little miracle.

Newbies, hello and welcome, you are in good hands!

Moving house is bad!! We are in a totally new area but kids have settled well into new schools. I am a bit 'billy no mates' but I'll get there and there is always mn!!

Relax everyone and take care.

EllieG · 06/02/2008 11:07

Mornin' all - how are things today lissie? Feeling any better? Sorry if I didn't say the right thing yesterday just re-read post and wasn't very reassuring - I meant to be but came out wrong. Either way - still have all crossed for little lissiebean. x

Julezboo · 06/02/2008 11:41

morning all

just about

I cant stop eating!! Ive had 4 potato cakes, a caramel cake bar and a pack of crisps oh and a ripple on the school run ! I have to get in amy wedding dress 8 months after the baby is born so I need to not put much weight on

Lissie - how are you doing today?

Im still spotting but tis brown now, pains are easing and i feel like crap, so all good here xx

bethoo · 06/02/2008 12:55

felt a bit nauseas at the gym but it was not bad, jsut like when you are hungry (prob cos i am!!) so still holding out for symptoms! was tired though, could just about run for 10 mins on treadmill!
Julezboo - sounds promising now that the bleeding is easing off.

DoingItAgain · 06/02/2008 13:07

Hello all! Am new on Mumsnet (recommendation from a friend. Knickerchecker is exactly what I am!

A miscarriage at 8 weeks 6 years ago has terrified me that the same thing is going to happen again so I find myself checking my knickers at the oddest times as I'm sure every twinge is something going wrong. Only 5 weeks pregnant and besides boobs that feel like I've had something heavy swinging on them I don't feel pregnant and know that this isn't a good sign as with my previous 2 pregnancies (thankfully I have a happy healthy 9 year old daughter) I just KNEW I was pregnant from the very first possible moment.

kate2179 · 06/02/2008 13:39

Hi doingitagain - welcome! Try not to stress about your lack of symptoms (much easier said than done I know!), it's still very early and sore boobs are def a good start! FWIW I don't really have any symptoms to speak of either, and I felt really sick with my last pg which sadly turned out to be a mmc. I had a scan yesterday - despite lack of symptoms and terrible blood test results from last week the scan showed a 6+5 bean with a good heartbeat! So I am trying to feel lucky that I don't feel sick, rather than worrying about it. Every pregnancy is different, even for the same woman. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

DoingItAgain · 06/02/2008 13:49

Thank you Kate2179, am so glad to hear that your bump is doing well!

You're right, I should be glad I've not got morning sickness rather than worrying about it!

x

EllieG · 06/02/2008 15:20

Hello Doingitallagain! Nice to have you here x

makecakesnotwar · 06/02/2008 18:24

Hello Doingitallagain and welcome...

very excited that my scan is finally here (well, first thing tmorrow) but nervous too. I was terrified before 12 week scan so I at least was prepared for the nerves this time round. I have also had a referral for SPD and that's tomorro wtoo, so will end up spending most of the day in hospital. Still, if that's what it takes.

I asked DH if he was excited and his response was "I guess so". Talk about underwhelming...

DonDons · 06/02/2008 18:25
