I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

@Quokka7 covid can be super hard, hope you recover from it quickly!
@Algor1thm i know that cramping can be very common in early pregnancy and I suffered a lot of cramping throughout all of my pregnancies! It wasn’t anything like the pain I felt when I had a loss recently…that felt very different and I knew instantly something was very wrong. Hopefully it’s just stretching and burrowing feels! It’s good that you’re getting seen soon as well. The not knowing is very hard

NalaNana · 27/09/2022 17:39

@Algor1thm I'm so glad that they are seeing you to check. My last pregnancy was ectopic and I had very light brown spotting (only when wiping) for 2-3 days starting around 4 + 2/3. It disappeared and I had no more issues until 7 + 3 when the spotting returned with localised one sided intense cramping! I'd take it as a positive that yours has come and gone rather than stuck around solidly for days!

I called the GP yesterday to ask for bloods and was basically told to wait and see which I guess I can understand.

For the ladies doing test progression would you mind posting your tests? I don't know if it's helpful given that we might be using different tests and implanted at different times etc but I'm curious. I tested again at 15DPO and it wasn't significantly darker than 13DPO, if at all really. It wasn't as long of a hold, and was more diluted so trying not to think too much into it.

These are my FRER tests at 9dpo & 15dpo (approx)
I have one first response left & I’m going to take it tomorrow, nervous though

Also my one step tests at 17-19dpo
I have also done Mom Med tests but they’ve not progressed at all, I posted this yesterday I think

The DPO is just an estimate for me as I didn’t track but usually do have a cycle between 27-29 days.

@Algor1thm @Avocado87 thanks. I'm at the tail end of it now I think. I had it last year and was really unwell with it so I'm glad this time round has been kinder!

@Algor1thm that's good they're able to see you so soon. I'm sure it will drag but it's not long to wait.

@Audienceofone hi! Thanks, I'm definitely feeling better today. I hope this little one is sticky for you. Pregnancy after loss is so hard isnt it. We suffered a tfmr earlier this year and this was the first month trying again so I wasnt expecting it to be positive. Just hoping we dont go through anything like last time 🤞

@Veryxonfused @NalaNana your tests are both looking strong! Mine are still faint but I'm 11dpo and think I had implantation pains on either Saturday or Sunday.

Okapi99 · 27/09/2022 18:18

I know my last period was the 17th August. I got a bfp on 23rd September.

Going by lmp I'd be 5wks 2 days and due on the 28th May, but i think due date by ovulation being on the 13th is more likely. So I'd be 4 weeks today and due 6th June.

miamiibiza · 27/09/2022 18:19

The midwife team rang me today, and have booked the booking in appointment for the end of October. Making it all feel very real!

pregnancyafterloss · 27/09/2022 18:56

Hi all.

Ttc for baby no2 for 5 years! Three previous miscarriages and on clomid. Had a positive test early this morning. Took 8 tests now and all positive. I can't quite believe my luck. Joining here and hoping this baby sticks for us. I haven't told my partner yet.

Weefreetiffany · 27/09/2022 19:42

Hi @pregnancyafterloss and @NalaNana thats wonderful news!

unfortunately I’ve started spotting this evening. No longer feeling morning sickness and had two terrible nights sleep so I’m struggling to stay positive. Very much wanted this little bean after almost two years of trying.

theodora2146 · 27/09/2022 20:11

I had quite intense cramping this morning and mild cramps on and off all day, no more this evening though. No spotting or bleeding so fingers crossed it's all normal and just my uterus adjusting? Been feeling super tired but no other symptoms yet. I'll be 5 weeks on Thursday

Sneezymcsneezy · 27/09/2022 21:20

Is anybody still nursing their current babies? I am and not sure as to whether to wean completely or not, the past few nights has been every three hours as we've just got back from holiday and he's unsettled. Usually it's fed to sleep and then whenever he wakes up

B1993 · 28/09/2022 06:47

Morning all 😊
I'm sorry to read that more of you have been spotting. It's good that it's also stopped for some of you, hopefully that's a positive sign 👍🏻

I decided to to a CB with weeks indicator this morning. I'm either exactly 4 weeks today (going from ovulation date) or about to be 5 weeks tomorrow (so 4+6) if going off of the start of my m/c bleeding.

The test puts me at 4-5 weeks so I'm measuring right on track! I can't lie, it's a bit of a relief 🥲

I don't think I'm out of the woods yet, as it were, as my strip tests don't seem to have much progression. If I'm honest though, I've been testing twice a day (morning and evening), which I know I shouldn't be comparing. I also noticed a bit of brown spotting yesterday evening in my undies, after not seeing any for a day or so.

With my last loss, I had brown once or twice through the day, that went for 4-5 days before returning. Then the brown was more frequent over the days, going from occasionally to almost all of the time. After around 4 days of that, it progressed to the pink and then red. My point is, I know my miscarriage was drawn out the last time so I'm still cautious that, over the coming days, it could progress into another m/c. I'm trying to remind myself that it can be normal too, but seeing bright red is so concerning!

Sorry for the word vomit! I just needed to share with ladies who understand 💜

So after spotting last night I took a test this morning after holding 4 hours and the second line is barely there. My symptoms are easing up too Think my journey is ending here but not sure what to do next as the bleeding has stopped. Will battle to call the doctor I guess. Good luck to all of you x

NalaNana · 28/09/2022 14:06

@Weefreetiffany sorry you aren't feeling positive, wishing you the best ❤️

Totorotoes · 28/09/2022 16:15

Hello, I am also out I'm afraid 😔 Had a little brown coloured discharge when wiping, not a lot though, and I've had cramps the whole way through. GP did a beta blood test today which confirms I've lost it. Sorry for the bleak vibes! At least I can stop the progesterone suppositories now!! Good luck to all of you xx

Blossomhoney · 28/09/2022 17:02

@Totorotoes I’m sorry to hear that x

YellowDaisies321 · 28/09/2022 17:45

Early pregnancy is such an anxious time, it’s so hard to enjoy it! I’m 4+4 until today I’ve had sore boobs, nausea and heartburn… today I’ve had nothing all day 😩

Aww I’m sorry :( x

B1993 · 28/09/2022 18:22

@Weefreetiffany I'm really sorry! It took some time for my bleeding to start after I miscarried. I think it was around 4 days of brown discharge. In the meantime, take the time you need and be kind to yourself.

@Totorotoes I'm sorry for your loss, too 💔Be kind to yourself and let those around you support you, if you need💜

If either of you need to chat, feel free to pm me. I hope when you're ready to try again, your rainbows come soon xx

Greymalkin12 · 28/09/2022 18:23

@Totorotoes very sorry to hear that x

Totorotoes · 28/09/2022 18:28

Thank you all so much for your kind words, I really really appreciate it. I'm going to take some time out to recover then hopefully can have another transfer (doing IVF) next month. I really wish all of you the very best xx

B1993 · 28/09/2022 18:46

Can someone take a look at my tests and see what you think to the progression?
Top was 10DPO and bottom is today at 14DPO. Todays test was with fairly diluted urine and a 1.5-2hr hold.

NalaNana · 28/09/2022 19:00

@B1993 does something concern you about those lines? It's very obvious progression!

jjunebug · 28/09/2022 19:10

Sneezymcsneezy · 27/09/2022 21:20

Yes I am! He feeds to sleep and all through the night. His sleep is terrible. Also wondering what is best for do. Currently it's ok but once the symptoms kick in I just don't think I will be able to keep getting up for him and worried nipples might get sensitive!

jjunebug · 28/09/2022 19:12

@B1993 I think that's great line progression ☺️

B1993 · 28/09/2022 19:35

@NalaNana Its not so much the tests that I'm worried about, I'm more to do with checking things are progressing normally after my bright red bleeding last week. I think I'm especially anxious given that I had a miscarriage at the end of last month and really hoping this baby sticks!!

Thank you for the reassurance Nala and @jjunebug!
